Matchroom is garbage let’s be honest , they wonder why pool isn’t growing when they charge for anything and everything . This format is gay it favors the lesser players hence why the final 6 is the lesser players other than Shaw and fsr. Alternate break is like everyone gets a trophy ! They keep punishing the best breakers of the balls time and time again , why punish someone who perfects a craft ?

No snooker player is better than a top pool player , it’s been shown time and time again , two different games , everyone talks about snookers ticht pockets but the balls are much much smaller so it equals out , pool is a better game and easier on the eyes , snooker is like watching paint dry

Not foul the body not touch other ball and three ball touch the rails
This is called PUSH. After break if primary ball has no clear vision. The playing guy can hit anywhere the table without foul. The other can choose to take the shot or return to the player who did the PUSH

I think it's more about the technology of the equipment that has evolved, the fundamentals and skills involved are still the same...
@@2869may I have to respectfully disagree with your opinion. I think players are more skillful today than 20-30 years ago in general. Take Philippines or Taiwan for exemple, you can find high levels players to practice or play with in any pool rooms whereas back in the days there were only a handful.
I don’t think today’s Alex is far behind from Alex’s prime in the early 2000 skill wise but there are levels amongst the best player pool in the world. I believe Alex is in a category below SBV, ko ping yi, Jayson Shaw…
