can't get enough of your beats man, never had an artist i could point to when i said i was into lofi. now I can! pointing anyone in your direction when i say I'm into lofi now dude! keep up the great work!!!
Idk if this makes sense but when i watch some certain youtubers i really like, it feels like they're a close friend. It feels like I'm talking to someone i trust and know for really long. This guy is one of those RUclipsrs. Your channel will blow up really big one day dude, i really love ur videos.
You have no idea how happy this comment made me. I read it out to my gf and we both had a whole moment. Thanks for taking the time to make me super stoked man ❤️
Keep coming back to these videos, just such good vibes in a time like this! May I ask what kind of guitar that is? Also just got myself some of the kit I need to have a go at this. big love from England!
yo yo my main man James! Thanks for the love man and the time you took to let me know all the kind words. Long story about the guitar, but basically its a Dia. I live in South Africa (I'm sure you must know a couple of Saffas out there in England loool) and these guitars were a popular guitar sold here back in the day. I think they're made in Japan and the craftmanship on these geets are so nice man, like the fretboard is sooo lovely and the frets are high quality. Just a quality well made guitar. Its very lightweight and I'm 90% sure its a chambered/hollow body. So lucky to have gotten it! Looping is definitely a lot of fun man, hope you enjoy it. Drop me a link of your stuff if you do upload, keen to check it. Much love from South Africa.
oh my.. i've been pondering if anyone had the idea of lo-fi with guitars (instead of old jazz vinyl samples).. hmm (looks at the guitar in the corner collecting dust). ✌
yo Miki, so this is the way I do it. So i use Ableton Live as my looping software on my laptop. I then connect the Akai Key25 directly to my laptop using a USB cable. The Akai automatically connects to ableton and all the buttons on the akai map to the buttons on ableton live (basically the akai is a physical representation of my ableton screen which allows me to start and stop loops on the akai instead of using the mouse to start and stop loops on ableton which would be tedious to do while playing). I then plug all my instruments into my audio interface (Behringer UMC404HD) using normal 1/4 inch jack cables and then connect my interface to my laptop using a USB cable. In ableton you just have to make sure it recognises your interface in the preferences. When you have your interface and midi controller (akai key25 in this case) connected, you just have to set each channel on ableton to which input it should receive coming in from the interface. Since my akai key25 is a physical representation of ableton, when I make a new channel, it means the channel is also created/represented on the akai key25. My interface has 4 inputs (which means it can take 4 instruments) so I just make 4 channels, and i set the 1st channel on ableton to input 1 which is my electric guitar, 2nd channel to input 2 (which is usually my bass) and so on which links up on the akai key25. Now I have my channels created for my instrument inputs and i can control the starting and stopping of loops on the Akai key25. It's a lot less complicated than it sounds but i hope this helps man!
@@musicavns yo yo yo, so it depends what you wanna do. So if you're gonna be doing a lot of finger drumming then go for the MK2/MK3 because it has to pressure sensitive pads which are really nice for drumming. I went with the key25 because of the button matrix layout which is an exact representation of what you see on the ableton screen so it's nice if you wanna have a lot of loops and layers and storage banks to start and stop tracks/loops easily. You can do the same on the MK2/MK3 but it doesnt have that entire button matrix although im sure if you learn how to use it well, you can get pretty efficient at it. The akai key 25 is like a compact version of the APC 40 but for a fraction of the price and very portable. You can also just use drum plugins on the key25 and use the actual keys for as drums since the key 25 doesn't have the pressure sensitive pads like the MK2/MK3, but the keys are still velocity sensitive and it honestly works pretty good. You can always buy a key25 and then buy something like the akai LPD8 which is a drum pad but obviously adds to the size of your rig and cost. So there's pros and cons of both setups. Let me know what you decide on bro! Good luck. and worst case, if you don't like it, just sell the thing 😆
You're that artist that i get to say "i loved him before he got famous" (:
Best comment I've ever had for sure! If I ever get famous I'll be like "Yoojie knew me when I was just a peasant like the rest of yall"
