No matter how big fans we are we should be fair. This is not live. It is the official video for the song. But their lipsync to the song is on spot so I truely beleive they sang when they recorded the video. It is however the studio version we hear.

@@beegeesbuster1 I think it is also fair to say that multitracking has been around since the '50s (Thanks to Les Paul)... but the vocals are straight recordings.. no manipulation or autotune... the post production, including multitracking, does not change the vocal quality of the original recordings.

A great sampling is Spicks and Specks, Massachusetts, Lonely Days, To Love Somebody, I Started a Joke, Fanny Be Tender, Run To Me, New York Mining Disaster, If I Can’t Have You, I Can’t See Nobody, I’ve Gotta Get a Message to You, More Than a Woman, Nights on Broadway, How Can You Mend a Broken Heart… They wrote over a thousand songs - most always melody first and then lyrics. Many hits for other artists like Dianna Ross, Celine Dion, Barbara Streisand and Dolly Parton. Enjoy the ride! 😍 #BeeGeeFanForever

The must listens are ‘How Deep Is Your Love’ mostly sang in their lower voices, ‘Nights On Broadway’, the Midnight Special live version…the first song they used their falsettos in, but starting with Barry coming in low and strong! Also ‘Alone’ another super high falsetto fantasy. The official video with them in studio, meeting people during their career, and goofing around when they were young is the best one…excellent!

The Bee Gees were a constant part of the soundtrack to my life growing up. And I used to wear jeans like that (they never seemed to last very long… ) but seriously, this is superb. The harmonisation, the backing instrumentals, it all fits together so seamlessly. The music is sensitive and intimate, it stirs the emotions. I enjoy a broad spectrum of music, depending on the mood. Its not difficult to imagine the kind of situation where this music would exactly hit the spot.

A little background. Barry Gibb (middle) September 1, 1946. He and his wife Linda have been married for 53 years. They have 4 sons and one daughter who is the youngest. Also, 7 grandchildren.
Robin (on our left) and Maurice (on our right) were fraternal twins.
Maurice Gibb (December 22, 1949 - January 12, 2003) survived by wife and 2 adult children.
Robin Gibb (December 22, 1949 - May 20, 2012) survived by wife and 4 adult children.
Andy Gibb (March 5, 1958 - March 10, 1988) He was too young to sing with his brothers. He had his own successful career. He and Barry could have been identical twins.
They wrote their own songs and wrote and produced songs for other artists. Barry didn't always sing in falsetto. They were asked if someone could sing falsetto on a song. Barry volunteered, and the rest is history.
On a side note, the first born is their sister, Lesley (Gibb) Evans. She can sing, but she did not want to be in the limelight.
They were so popular that some radio stations had a 'Bee Gees free' weekend. NO requests for their songs.
There's so much to write about them. In your spare time, I think you'll like what they have contributed to the music industry.
    I recommend the following songs:

The name of the group comes from "BG", an abbreviation for "Brothers Gibb"

Actually it comes not just from that but the early days in Australia.
Barry Gibb, Barbara Gibb, Brothers Gibb, Bill Gates …. there were BG initials everywhere so it was decided that’s their name. Originally it was BG’s later on stretched too Bee Gees.

Barry in the middle is the oldest.
Robin on the left and Maurice on the right are twins. They also have a younger brother Andy who had a solo career. Unfortunately, Barry is the only surviving brother.

This was their 4th #01 in a row after the 3 from Saturday Night Fever, they then had 2 more after this to match the Beatles record.
They were then cancelled by American radio until the late 80’s for being “too successful” even though they wrote and Barry produced massive hits/albums for other artists during that time.

The Bee Gees have been performing together since 1963 and they have a baby brother Andy Gibb and he can sing to! He is a lot younger than his other brothers! The Bee Gees Stan's for the brothers Gibbs!

Listen to "Fanny, Be Tender". Another amazing tune. You'll hear more of their vocal range. Also try "Nights on Broadway". They've got an amazing catalog.

Barry (lead in middle) is the oldest brother of 4. Maurice and Robin - twins. All of them have been singing/performing together since they were children. There was a 4th younger brother, Andy. He had a skyrocketing too brief solo career. Check him out. The plan was always for Andy to join them. Tragically he died too young, from heart complications/disease from drug use. Barry, last living Gibb brother, is 78. He still works/composes, and has been married to his wife since 1970, 54 years!! together.

You want to hear great harmony? Check out The Queens of Harmony. They are called 4th Impact. They are Filipino sisters. Check out their version of "Never Enough" or "This Is It". I think you'll be in love with them also.

I love it when the kids react and one of thr Bee Gees songs hits and the stunned disbelief on their faces as they realize one of the tunes they grew up with had that song as a sample for THEIR song of reference. Whats great is how they then settle right into a vibe as the original continues. The Bee Gees are timeless.

    They only used one microphone
And this helped in blending their voices
