Pitch Correction exists because we refused to learn anything from Milli Vanilli.
Yes, . . . these guys are singing it live.
Please continue your Bee Gees journey with something from before their Disco Falsetto era for comparison.
And please ponder why we waste time pitch correcting mediocre talent instead of supporting great talent.

They started singing together as toddlers! Robin & Maurice are fraternal twins & Barry the big brother. Little brother, Andy, sang with them for a little while, but went solo. His untimely death highly effected them. 😢 But these 3 know each other as though they're one person & their music, timing & harmonies demonstrate that. I saw them live in 1976. They were totally AWESOME! ❤

@@kenhito - That doesn't even take into account several solo LP's released by Robin, primarily with the writing and production assistance of Maurice. Those were very popular in Europe ("Juliet" was #1 in several countries) and Australia but not played in the US due to the "disco" backlash. Robin's last LP released after he died had some absolutely profound and beautiful songs (done without brother Maurice who had died) as well as the orchestral "Titanic Requiem" which was played by the National Philharmonic in London. Even Robin's first solo composition "I am the world" was pretty spectacular for a 15 year old. Barry said Robin was a great composer and lyricist and Robin said he was lucky to be born into the same family as his brothers. Maurice was the musician of the group who put his brothers' lyrics and melodies to music and was the vital third harmony. He is too often ignored. They were a team including when writing for other artists.

Maurice and/or Robin co-wrote approx 75-80% of the Bee Gees catalog with Barry. That's why Barry's listed as the second most successful songwriter after Paul McCartney, & not the twins. Also Barry co-wrote 1/3 of Robin's three 80s solo albums.

But, since they couldn't think of anyone with that specific tone they wanted, they played around with their own voices.. How high could they go??.. And there it was.. When trying to sing the whole song, it came out simply perfect.. They keept it that way ever since, and that's how we got to know them..

They were a team both vocally and as composers. In this song while Barry is doing the falsetto the twins are carrying the melody. All three can sing falsetto.

Don’t let any Robin homers tell you different, the middle guy, Barry Gibb, was the main songwriter, and yes, he wrote for and produced records for other big artists, and wrote all his brother, Andy’s hits, plus produced his records and sang back-up vocals for him. Barry is a prolific songwriter, second only to Paul McCartney. And a known hitmaker, whom other singers clamored to have him write for them. All those songs became hits, too.

@@RuthBair-ht1fj yeah Mo does a good job but the falsetto ad libs dont go on for as long and is not anything like the recording. There is no live recording of Fanny at all. The one you are thinking of is simply a music video, shot the same time as Jive Talkin. The sound quality is poor and it doesn't show who sings what parts accurately. Fanny had so many layers that it was difficult for them to sing their parts so the 3 just all sang all of it whether it was their parts or not. There was a tendency to do this in the 70s with music videos so with this one in particular the audio should only be reacted to.

Robin has a natural high tenor voice, and Mo (Maurice -- pronounced like Morris), has the lower voice range, but is also adept at high falsetto. its lip synced as all music videos are. There are 9 layers in this song creating 27 voices. We are hearing the already recorded audio. It seriously amazes me that people think any part of this is live, this is not how music is recorded. It is simply a promotional video and all is staged.
Here is something I copied from the internet regarding the recording:
The recording process was the longest of all the tracks on Spirits Having Flown as there are nine layers of three-part harmony, creating 27 voices, though the high falsetto voices are the most pronounced in the final mix:[6]
Barry on falsetto lead three times
      falsetto high harmony three times
      falsetto low harmony three times
Barry on natural voice lead three times
      high harmony three times
      low harmony three times
Barry, Robin and Maurice together on lead three times
      high harmony three times
      low harmony three times[6]
Imbued with their falsetto style, it is also notable for being one of two songs on the album featuring the Chicago horn section

Being a teen in the 70s to early 80s was so cool, I am so glad we had such cool music from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin , Bee Gees, ZZ top, Boston, Aerosmith, we went to all the concerts for just a few bucks and then we got to live through the 80s and 90s music and then 2000s. Good times. Great reaction!!! I love seeing young peoples reactions to the classics.

These brothers came from a family of musicians! Their father was a drummer in the big band era and had his own band. Their mother was a singer!

All three of them wrote the songs ❤ all three could sing falsetto, all three sang amazingly well on their own 😁 altogether they were extraordinary ❤️ You need to do For whom the bell tolls live outside in New York 🤩 Barry and Robin sing parts of the song 🤩 Robin had a beautiful vibrato he also sings lead in a number of songs 🤩 Maurice was a musical genius he done the arrangement on practically all their songs, he sang lead on Closer than Close and Man in the middle but preferred the song writing and arrangement. All three made the Bee Gees without one of them being there would never have worked, to do different parts of a song all three were able to change their voice for whatever they were singing! RIP Maurice, Robin and Andy Gone way too soon. They were sing in on stage at a young age Barry was 9 and the twins were 6, their sister Lesley is also a good singer but didn’t choose to do it. Practically all of their sons and daughters can also sing. The couldn’t read music they would get the melody first then get the words to fit the melody 👍🏻🤩🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

You wanna see how good they were? There is a video of them on some British talk show. They pull out a couple of guitars and sing Massachusetts in full harmony with Robin singing lead. It will blow your mind.

Watch their One For All '89 Melbourne medley, as that's just Barry playing guitar with their 3 voices.

The Brothers Gibb....a force in pop music for many decades. It truly stands the test of time. Great reaction all around but i like how you caught the way they weave the melody through their frequency and vibrato. Because they are brothers their vocals are tight.

One take, no rehearsal. That was the talent level of The Bee Gees (The Brothers Gibb).

This was done Live with one take and no autotune as it wasn't available back then. This is pure talent. All the proceeds from this song went to Unicef.
