I have just brought the game at last, when i get there i am going to create a Kingdom of pain and terror, run by me, a paranoid malign dictator. And if anyone should revolt or dissent, their families shall suffer in my torture chambers. But you do you!
couple things he didnt mention which are extremely useful to know: spell works: DO THIS SHIT FIRST AND FOREMOST. while he mentioned the battle spells, he didnt mention stuff like "open locks" or other map/utility spells. yes these arent required but damn would be useful to you (unlocking blue chests gave me really powerful equipment early, a specific one was a 190atk axe when i was level 25-ish, it was AMAZING and as i could open them as i went for the most part a lot less backtracking) explorer's guild: storage up and map walking speed up. max of 150 storage (not essential if you come back super often but if like me and you go a couple hours without checking back this could save you a bit of time) and you'll be doing A LOT of walking so making that go faster is a must. shipyard: increases your boats speed. you're gonna be on it a lot, may as well eh? as for swift solutions: really only bother with tasks that give you more than 10tog unless you have hundreds of the items he asks of you, if it's a kill quest it's jsut not worth the time for less than 10. accept then abandon if you want it off his list as there is no penalty for doing so.
Appreciate the tips, Jake! Keeping the game running 24/7 and emptying coffers as often as possible really made the difference overall, which I devoted every waking hour in taking advantage of while recruiting citizens, conducting research and upgrading facilities! By the time, my son and I reached Chapter 6, we had attained an Evermore Region Influence of 15211000 with Grade of B across the board), recruited 40 citizens, upgraded 44 facilities to maximum levels as applicable and amassed 214,408 Kingsguilders (KG)! Whoop, Whoop! He played during the evening when he got home from work, and I played during the day in between yard maintenance and indoor chores (emptying coffers approximately every hour at 5000 KG capacity to eventually every 30 minutes at 80000 KG capacity and stores at 150-item capacity)! All of the kingdom building enabled us to complete side quests and errands more efficiently which in turn helped us move the game forward more effectively! As we head into Chapter 7 with a proficiency level of 57, our influence is 16047000 with 5249248 KG and 817 Tokens of Gratitude (which is what is available after retrieving what we think we might need in the future)! We are in the process of recruiting 10 additional citizens, so that we can upgrade Evermore Kingdom to Level 3, which is taking a little longer than anticipated... No worries, though! While I loved _Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the Witch_, I have really enjoyed the addition of kingdom building in _Ni No Kuni 2: Revenant Kingdom_!
If you're undecided on this game, BUY THIS GAME for the love of god, one of best jrpgs out right now, if u dont have a ps4 its also on pc and you dont need a monster of a pc to run this game,
Kaiser Leonhart i dont understand this game. hell i am now even sure about the gender of the playable main character in this game. But graphics sure looks lovely.
I used piratebay in the past, until one day I noticed my games were running very slow. found out that one game installed a mining virus which was making my gpu run at 90%. now I only use steam...
Level up the Explorer's guild fast. You can increase your Kingdom stores (he only had 50, rather than the 150 cap), which means more capacity for free items from your farms etc. The level 1 cap fills up fast. You can also get other handy bonuses (faster walk speed on world map). The Hubble-Bubblery and Training Ground are also a must and make battle easier. Upgrade the Spellworks to level 3 to research the spell to unlock blue chests also.
Man, remember when gaming companies actually cared about the quality of their games and the level of fun in their games. Like this stuff is so cool, these days this entire kingdom building mechanics would be heavily gated behind monetization. “Oh you want a new citizen? Well here is a loot box for $5 with various levels of citizens”
There are elements to this game (kingdom building to be specific) that reminds me so much of Suikoden. That alone made Ni No Kuni 2 a must have for me. Loving it so far.
Just for those who didn't know. For Swift Solution, do be aware that certain civilians will only be scoutable after you completed their corresponding quest lines.
Pro tip: If you click "Manage Your Kingdom" and click on your castle, in the left-hand side of the screen you will see how much Kings Guilders you will accumulate per hour. Right now, my rate is probably around 36k/hour, but since my coffer only holds 15k, I can come back every half hour or so.
What are the letter grades in the top right (where they all show "B" in your game)? Are they an indication of overall IQ in each field? They start at "D" when you first start your kingdom, and I have all of mine at "B" with my kingdom at Level 2. So once they reach "A" does that mean they are at full potential IQ?
Oh my gosh, I have 46 hours in game and I've just now learned about leveling up my citizens. Yikes. This vid was a huge help for my idiot self, thank you guys!
Hyun, you probably already know the answer to this by now... However, for the remainder of inquiring minds, once you have completed the research that you began, you can move your citizens around to help meet IQ requirements in order to complete research in other respective facilities. I try to make sure to leave at least one citizen in each facility to ensure they remain productive and that applicable items are available use, retrieval and/or purchase accordingly! When all research opportunities have been exhausted, I then repopulate facilities with "suitable" personnel when opportunity avails itself.
I adore ni no kuni 2, specially this kingdom building aspect. The only thing I dislike is the over world map... id prefer the bright one of ni no kuni 1, however I just ignore the hideouseness of it :3
The thing is, you don't really need to play the first one to get this game. You can play this game as itself, just as I did. This game is a good jrpg game along with the element of building up your own kingdom. I'd recommend.
I personally liked the first Ni No Kuni much more than this one. It seems like little things were kind of disregarded in Ni No Kuni II that would've made game play much more seamless, HOWEVER it's still a pretty good game and I really liked the Kingdom Building aspect of it. Reminded me a lot of Dark Cloud.
Wish I could make a dystopian kingdom ruled by the mad child king, Evan. Where the poor live in poverty and are enslaved to work in the vicious gem mines. Kinda like game of thrones.
Has anyone else encountered a problem with the Priestess in Training sidequest? I've researched the Rejuvinate spell, and have used it to complete another side quest as well as a few places on the world map, but the quest info is still saying that I need to learn the spell. Am I missing something or did I put the skirmish part of this quest off too long?
For that, you need to research the spell through your kingdom spellworks building under the research tab. After the skirmish, and after the completed research, the sidequest should update itself to direct you to speak with Speio. After that you're done. If its still says that you need to research that spell after you've already researched it through your spellworks, then it might be a glitch or a bug, because that shouldn't happen. (I know because I've recently completed that sidequest)
Hi, you can only update the castle if you meet certain prerequisites (same goes for your coffers). Say _recruited 35 citizies and built 25 buildings for Level 2_ (these are just random numbers. Don't count me in for that). The game should tell you (with little checkboxes in the "Upgrade Kingdom" Window what you're still missing. Buildings in general can only be upgraded if the Kingdom has reached a certain level (also shown by a little checkbox in the "Upgrade Building" window. As for the spells: do mean the spells themselves or the research? Research will be (subsequently) unlocked if certain parameters are met like having a citizien with a certain ability or a kingdom at Level n. Hope it helps!
@@Luna-sp5vv You're most welcome, glad i could be of help! tbh i just started playing this game recently and am currently in ch. 9 with a good chunk of the DLC's left to explore and do. What i like about this game is that there is so much to explore and do gameplay (and gamemechanics-wise). Not to mention the Ghibli-esque artstyle and music ^^
Yes, you can! You may need to do so in order to retrieve items from the facilities, such as the Cookshop, Spellworks, General Store, Outfitters, Weapon Workshop and Higglery... Also, if you walk around and attempt to talk to the citizens at least once a day, you might run across a side quest that needs to be completed, which may help you move the game forward in some form or fashion!
thats great! I really wanted you to be able to do it cos then you could actually feel the place and it getting bigger like its more real and more your kingdom rather then just staring at it as a whole all day. and being able to go in shops is cool
randomeuropeanguy the view your are looking at is what you walk around in. There is no going into stores your sprite just goes around and talk to them lol
There isn’t really a need for any tips in this game. The kingdom building is really fun. The platinum was a lot shorter than I expected compare to the first one, only takes around 60 - 70 hours.
probs not id be scared it would burn it out as the surface can play games but its not overly made to play games witch could cause heating problems but look it up you night be fine
I struggle to understand the point of the kingdom. The game is so easy that you don't need to access the advanced research to beat the game. Other than the game forcing you to build the kingdom there seems to be no point.

Oisín Thank you I was wondering about the blue chests. Are they typically giving out items more rare than red ones? Or is it all rng?
Wondering the same thing. What do blue chests give?
Also wondering how to level up my army. Might is always so much lower than the enemy's
It's basically just rare items that you can't find anywhere else. I'm not sure about RNG? There seems to be a pool of specific items anyway.
for me, i build institute of innovation first before others. it cuts alot of building and research cost and time, then the explorer's guild...
