You are implying that what makes a game difficult is mechanics or complexity. This is by no means true. A simple game can be incredibly hard and a complex game can be easy. You are trying to connect dots and not using the critical thinking skills that you should have learned during your formative years and further developed in college. I’m sorry if you are young and have not attended yet. Good day mate.
The world isn't that big, it's like a world map in the older Final Fantasy games for example. It's very packed though, and definitely rewards exploration.
rax \m/ it’s open, and there are optional dream mazes. Post game there is just single 30 floor dream maze with a level 95-120+ boss depending on the danger level.
Here's something I didn't learn until later in the game that's helpful. When you unlock better mining camps like all the way to number 5, that one will be better to have people at than your number 1 because it has rarer materials and will upgrade to get even rarer materials. Also, research your weapons and armor because late game you will have an easier time making weapons that are actually upgrades than finding them from monsters.
The game is easy as in battle difficulty only if you're over-leveled. Try fighting Tainted Monsters on the same level as yours and you might even use all your recovery items. 70+ hours and my kingdom is still Lv. 3. This game is not perfect definitely but it won't stop you from enjoying it. One of the gems of JRPG.
This video is really meant for people who have possibly never touched a jrpg before. It is true the game doesn't "tell you" but this stuff isn't hard to figure out on your own either.
The only thing that wasn't 100% clear for me was the charge build. I thought it might've been tied to charging your attacks early on, but I soon forgot you could even charge them to begin with and then that stat entirely lost its meaning
I think we can say it was intended for anyone who never touched any RPG games before. The first tip about physical and magic attack/defence power is essential in every RPG game, even in Dark Souls series. So, you can't survive in them without knowing about this essential tip.
It literally tells you quite a bit of this through forced tutorials. I'm not sure what you mean. Force instance, the shield and star symbols on gear or what tainted monsters are and what they offer as rewards.
As a ravid fan of the Dark Cloud series, the amount of legacy mechanics that ported over from those games makes me happy. Good on ya Level-5, good on ya.
About the “don’t worry about not knowing where to get an item” point, if you click on the info button (I am playing on PC with an Xbox 360 controlled, the button next to the centre button) it will straight up show where to get it or what buildings In Evermore can produce it.
FullMetalWhiteboy has nothing to do with being bad when I just tend to explore everything the game has to offer. There is a significant difference between 100%ing a game and "just" getting the platinum trophy. for example killing the 10 hardest bosses is not included in the platinum trophy, getting the highest possible gear in the game is not included in the platinum trophy, getting your kingdom to 100.000.000 influence is not included in the platinum trophy, finishing ALL 175 quests is not included in the platinum trophy, finishing all skirmish battles on hard mode is not included in the platinum trophy, maxing out every spell/skill to lvl 15 is not included in the platinum trophy. some folks like you just rush to get the platinum and then don't bother with the game any longer, some other folks like me enjoy the game to the fullest when trying to 100% it. Again nothing "bad" about it~
this video is for people who dont play rpgs in general and are not used to exploring. All of these things are answered by chapter 4 (if you explore enough).....
tips and questions : tips : 1 : equip EXP ↑ stuffs on not played / reserve characters 2 : play in expert to have better loot when you have higher lvl than ennemies (or just anytime if you are Brave) 3 : revisite old place when u get a new spell that can be use on elements / stucture / plants question : 1/ what we can sell , what we should keep ?
Thanks for the info. I think I’ve figured most of these things just by playing (70+ hrs at this point). Been playing that game and it does a great job of hammering you over the head with some things/tutorials, while not explaining other things at all.
One thing that wasnt listed here that should be? is NEVER sell items keep everything for those small side quests =) ( just found this out the hard way lol )
Can someone help me just as I was about to go into GoldPaw for the first time I wandered of into a shrine near it and there was this little floating green orb inside I know that spirit medium has to be cast on it ( I played the first game so that’s how Ik ) but how do I unlock that spell
1. The time 2. The weather 3. How to make potato salad 4. How to file your taxes 5. What the meaning of life is 6. How to pack for a trip 7. Calculus 8. How to talk to girls 9. Financial advice
One thing the game doesn’t tell you When you into the 60s in the side quests You have to make specific items to activate the side quests With no hint on what the item was
U didn’t mention wands bows pistols etc stats ( which is most likely bow = range dmg and the explosion thingy = magic dmg so for wands magic better for bows and guns range dmg is better ) < but I don’t know the difference between range and magic dmg for wands I’m guess for bows or pistols ( etc ) range is just by spamming R1 and magi is skills but I don’t know what range dmg affects wands cause technically speaking all wands dmg is magic but I’m guessing range is just for the spammage of R1 and magic for skills
You forgot to mention that skirmish battles re-spawn. And that a 10 level difference for skirmish battles is easily manageable. Also loosing skirmish battles means nothing so don't hesitate to fight them.
Loved the first game and this second one is just as amazing! Wish it had more cutscenes like the first game but that’s alright. I really hope they continue this series. Would love to see the next one on Switch so I could play on my lunch break ha
I literally just bought this game and the weapon system, outside of the incredible combat, is a chef’s kiss to RPG fans. I’m in heaven with all the collectibles, upgrades, and crafting ❤️❤️❤️
60 hours in, and I haven’t used my brain once. I go into auto Pilate and beat bosses 10 levels below them by spamming the attack button and using 2-3 potions just tanking hits.. Still fun tho I guess lol
Too bad platinum is so easy to get and doesnt even require you to do everything in game or even be close to maxing out and killing the hardest bosses. Really a fake platinum trophy is what it is.
my only issue with the game is that you REALLY feel where they didn't put much of their budget. the cutscenes/VA, the super repetitive dungeons, etc. other than that, it's a great game. I enjoyed the kingdom building more than the actual gameplay.
Ok, dont know if it's in this video, but please help. I had something to prove to myself. I found a lv 55 wavewyrm. I was level 26, I spent 5 hours of my life trying to kill it. But once I did, I received no EXP.... Why?!?!?!
I haven't fully completed the game yet. That is, I haven't gone to fight the final boss yet. I've been trying to boost my kingdom as much as possible before I finish the game. I do know that if I want to complete my kingdom I have to go into Post-Game mode so I'll be going after the big boss soon.
This was actually useful cuz the game throws alot of different elements that are so obvious. It was so much I just skipped, thinking that it's like every other RPGs. I'm actually happy with the many different RPGs elements in it .alittle overwhelming to consider them but still great
Great game so far. At first it was too easy but it's not as easy as some reviews make out. You have to figure stuff out for yourself as this video proves. Speaking of which some of the optional bosses like the tainted monsters are hard as hell!
This game is really nice to play and it’s really alot of things to do. If you wanna take the game slowly, go grind xp by killing monsters in between storyline and the game would take awhile to finish.
Does anyone else have issues with this game being way too easy? I don't even have to do anything during battle, my companions melt the enemies, and I have not been grinding at all.
theres a glitch in the 3rd kingdom where in the final boss for the kingdom the kings maker your team will just charge head first at the magic barrier that it has and then die
zero RX-79 No its not when you play 100 plus hours and 80 of them went to sidequests that is noot ok . The world is very small and the mainstory is thin and short. I really dont understand how some people thinks this is quality. Sept 4 there you have quality DQ 11.
NO THAT’S WONG! But this is fact (: the whole game is a big sidefetchquest half of the continent completely empty how is that acceptable ? The game is not bad but it sure has problems.
NO THAT’S WONG! The tainted monster thing is just a nice little touch that tries to cover the problems most rpgs nowadays have optional bosses. The dream door feature was boring after the third door very repetetive in my opinion.
I wish i did not buy this game im so disapointed even though i got it for 19$ on sale..i hate kingdom building and sqirmish i should have bought Greedfall for 19$ instead.
During the Akando War I slaughtered thousands of men single handedly with nothing more than a blade. After each battle, drenched with the blood of my enemies - a companionship I shared with my steel - I developed a taste for the blood of the impure. Soon, my desire for the blood didn't just end with my enemies, it manifested itself into a more darker desire...soon innocents became acquainted with this desire, becoming victim of it. Women and children became nothing more than prey to me, so much so that honor meant nothing more than a false ideal to me, but the slaughtering of the innocent didn't satisfy my deranged thirst. Soon, the demon Alcakodo appeared to me in a delirious vision, he told me of "The God Seal", an artifact made from the blood of a thousand dead gods, now my mission is to seek this artifact and hopefully then the thirst will end.
Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shapeshifting master of darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil. But, a foolish samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to opposed me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future where my evil is law. Now, the fool seeks to return to the past and undo the future that is Aku.
"Water. Earth. Fire. Air. My grandmother used to tell me stories about the old days, a time of peace when the Avatar kept balance between the Water Tribes, Earth Kingdom, Fire Nation, and Air Nomads. But that all changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar mastered all four elements. Only he could stop the ruthless firebenders. But when the world needed him most, he vanished. A hundred years have passed and the Fire Nation is nearing victory in the War. Two years ago, my father and the men of my tribe journeyed to the Earth Kingdom to help fight against the Fire Nation, leaving me and my brother to look after our tribe. Some people believe that the Avatar was never reborn into the Air Nomads, and that the cycle is broken. But I haven't lost hope. I still believe that somehow, the Avatar will return to save the world."
Aaron Briggs first u gotta understand what everything does, then playing the low level skirmishes a few times and playing quick skirmishes on hard mode, i was like lvl 14 and hard mode was lvl but its still easy. I watched videos on yt too lol
9 Things Ni No Kuni 2 Doesn't Tell You ? seriously ? maybe you must read instead of rushng the game ^^ the point 7 is the only thing the game doesn't tell us
30h into the game and hearing that you can switch characters mid-fight just blew my mind
DoctorChaaaos me too im almost done with the game and i can change character in mids of the fight
Lol
For me i accidentally press the button for switch character. And im just like wtf. Btw im 200hrs in the game
LOL
Am 35 hrs into the game am just seeing this. What is the switch button? Am bored of the auto switch only when a character dies
Ign said this game is too easy in their review. Then they make another video to help you understand the too easy game.
Liitj lol
lmao
You are implying that what makes a game difficult is mechanics or complexity. This is by no means true. A simple game can be incredibly hard and a complex game can be easy. Chuck Nv Using long-winded sentences to insult others who are actually correct in what they say only makes you look like a dumbass. LOL
Liitj yea I end up got bored and abandoned it.
Just finished the game. Amazing! Absolutely amazing! This was my first time playing a JRPG and I have zero regrets.
Robzilla_92 If I may suggest the next adventure, Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is also an amazing game
HoundoomZ Yokai Na i like this game more.
Robzilla_92 I actually found this game really boring and childish
im just disappointed that the other characters in your party will become background characters after their story chapter is finished...
You can try Persona series.
70 hours in and I just now finished the story. Really enjoyed it.
KrazyBean14
Is the world big and open or semi open and does it have hidden and optional dungeons?
The world isn't that big, it's like a world map in the older Final Fantasy games for example. It's very packed though, and definitely rewards exploration.
rax \m/ it’s open, and there are optional dream mazes. Post game there is just single 30 floor dream maze with a level 95-120+ boss depending on the danger level.
Ok,thank you both. I think i will get this game 👍
KrazyBean14 I heard the story is meh
At about 70hrs and about to fight final boss tonight. Still have many many side things to do. Game is beyond worth $60
Here's something I didn't learn until later in the game that's helpful. It is ridiculously easy. Hardest difficulty feels like a Child's Video game.
@@deenanthekemoni9821 play dark souls then or bloodborne then
They definitely tell you all these things in tutorial text boxes.
Corey Chung ikr 😂 they didn't tell me i could charge my ranged weapons tho lmao.
No they actually don't cover most of this stuff in the game, you're left to figure it out on your own pretty much
Corey Chung not all but like half of these things
Swift solutions is as early as the first city... not hydro...
This video is really meant for people who have possibly never touched a jrpg before.
It is true the game doesn't "tell you" but this stuff isn't hard to figure out on your own either.

130+ hours in and still not done :P I tend to take my time with JRPGs to make sure I enjoy the 70 bucks spent to the fullest~
Maybe because they took their time?
I hate to think about what you do with prostitutes, then...
Volpe how bad at games are you that you spent 130+ hours on this one. Id kill myself doing all those repetitive fetch quests.
FullMetalWhiteboy what??

The game looks welcoming for everyone but, has very hard and crushing bosses and dungeons later in the game.
dante odinson or u take a full hour remembering the bosses attack movements and finding ways to counter them 😂
this video is for people who dont play rpgs in general and are not used to exploring. All of these things are answered by chapter 4 (if you explore enough).....

Jack Hessey lieveling spellworks
What level kingdom that I can build another explorer's lodge for upgrade kingdom storage? Right now I'm in the level 2 and my max storage is 50
I think you get one at level 3, if not then it will be at level 4.
Great game! Just finished it yesterday. Now grinding on faraway forrest to get dem legendary gear.
1. The time
2. The weather
3. How to make potato salad
4. How to file your taxes
5. What the meaning of life is
6. How to pack for a trip
7. Calculus
8. How to talk to girls
9. Financial advice
How do you get the + stats for weapon dmg? like 240 (+230) atk ?
One thing the game doesn’t tell you
When you into the 60s in the side quests
You have to make specific items to activate the side quests
With no hint on what the item was
It's coming to Switch, so excited!
50 hours into the game and I had no idea you could swap between party members in battle.
Are you kidding?
This game is a playable Ghibli movie. It's amazing.
Was thinking the same thing... So happy I bought this game
Well ghibli did work on the art in this game and the first after all
Ghibli co-created the first, and gave their blessing for the second.
U didn’t mention wands bows pistols etc stats ( which is most likely bow = range dmg and the explosion thingy = magic dmg so for wands magic better for bows and guns range dmg is better ) < but I don’t know the difference between range and magic dmg for wands I’m guess for bows or pistols ( etc ) range is just by spamming R1 and magi is skills but I don’t know what range dmg affects wands cause technically speaking all wands dmg is magic but I’m guessing range is just for the spammage of R1 and magic for skills
sorry, purple chest? why do i see them blue?
IIUBCROSS blue is in between basic red ones and good purple ones.
Ni No Kuni 2, tells you all this, I feel clickbaited
Finished the game at 55 hours. Still working on Sidequests. Wish I knew about switching characters in battle.
Swift Solutions is first found in Goldpaw outside the casino.
9 things Ni No Kuni 2 tell you in the tutorials
03:21 purple chest? man... are you colorblind or what? it´s BLUE chest! lol xD
Guys I bought a season pass after I finished the game but no new chapter has been opened as they say
If you have any information please tell me??
thaer alen the new content isn't out yet
You forgot to mention that skirmish battles re-spawn. And that a 10 level difference for skirmish battles is easily manageable. Also loosing skirmish battles means nothing so don't hesitate to fight them.
Ni No Kuni 2 explain all the systems you mentioned pretty well.
A16 years old youtuber captures this game and it looks better than the IGN video.
Very helpful, thanks
Just fight loads of field battles, use evans wand, save potions fighting oakenheart and the last misssion
really digging this game thus far, and this is coming from a non JRPG fan. Love the creativity and adore the charm. The soundtrack sold me early tbh.
Looks a lot like if rogue galaxy had a sequel. I loved that game so much. I'm sure i will enjoy this too.
Matthew Norzan one of the best and underrated ps2 games
Matthew Norzan Preach
Same studio. Level 5. Damn i miss that game.
Loved the first game and this second one is just as amazing! Wish it had more cutscenes like the first game but that’s alright. I really hope they continue this series. Would love to see the next one on Switch so I could play on my lunch break ha
I’m Having such a good time with this game there needs to be more talk around this game!
First you give this amazing game a biased bad review, then you make additional videos saying that it's an amazing game.....smh
Opinions. To you, it's bland or boring. To him (and me), it's amazing. Sure, it could of been a little harder but it's still a great game regardless
+DarkSoraesteedKnight I like it too. But it's really just an endless series of fetch quests.
yup it was too easy and got boring fast
+Lance Knight Not for me. I always made sure the bosses were 20-30 levels above me.
The game became much better then.
but how? cause u level so quick and easy
I literally just bought this game and the weapon system, outside of the incredible combat, is a chef’s kiss to RPG fans. I’m in heaven with all the collectibles, upgrades, and crafting ❤️❤️❤️
so then what does the dark blue colour mean?
That was all no-brainer stuff that you learn while you play. Didn't learn a thing here...
AMAZING game!! Level 5 never lets me down.
60 hours in, and I haven’t used my brain once. I go into auto Pilate and beat bosses 10 levels below them by spamming the attack button and using 2-3 potions just tanking hits..
Still fun tho I guess lol
Caliduchey do you wear yoga pants for those Pilates? I'm just trying to picture it better.
charles sickles thinking the same thing. I think they meant pilot, but it is hard at this point to figure out
Diamantis XIII I just had to make the joke.
story bosses names aren't “red“...😐
Already got the platinum trophy, great game
Too bad platinum is so easy to get and doesnt even require you to do everything in game or even be close to maxing out and killing the hardest bosses. Really a fake platinum trophy is what it is.
At the 3 second mark I first heard "if you are Zen," instead of "a few hours in." 😛
This isn't Tips video, it's spoilers. Game tells all of these.
these things are self-explanatory except the weapons and in-battle character switching
Protip. If you play on expert it feels like a normal difficulty JRPG
my only issue with the game is that you REALLY feel where they didn't put much of their budget. the cutscenes/VA, the super repetitive dungeons, etc. other than that, it's a great game. I enjoyed the kingdom building more than the actual gameplay.
i didnt know you could swap heros during battle......... TY
A very entertaining game, a bit easy, but those final bosses are too god damn hard, especially if you want the platinum trophy
I finished the game and this is the most beautiful and amazing game I’ve ever played until today (,:
The game does tell you most of these things once they become available
Ok, dont know if it's in this video, but please help. I had something to prove to myself. I found a lv 55 wavewyrm. I was level 26, I spent 5 hours of my life trying to kill it. But once I did, I received no EXP.... Why?!?!?!
I haven't fully completed the game yet. That is, I haven't gone to fight the final boss yet. I've been trying to boost my kingdom as much as possible before I finish the game. I do know that if I want to complete my kingdom I have to go into Post-Game mode so I'll be going after the big boss soon.
u forgot one, never, EVER, sell the stinky boots or u will regret it
I tend to get in more trouble when i'm battling
This was actually useful cuz the game throws alot of different elements that are so obvious. It was so much I just skipped, thinking that it's like every other RPGs. I'm actually happy with the many different RPGs elements in it .alittle overwhelming to consider them but still great
Well informed video, I bought the game 3 days ago and it´s amazing. but somewhat dissapointing to the dialog system :(
I'm looking forward to new patches or DLCs
Great game so far. At first it was too easy but it's not as easy as some reviews make out. You have to figure stuff out for yourself as this video proves. Speaking of which some of the optional bosses like the tainted monsters are hard as hell!
I rushed through it just to see the story and done it in 45 hours
for # 2 I just realized this while doing the final boss lol
Can you actually craft a purple gear? Despite having more than enough resourses, they aren't taken all and only red craft is possible for me...
My game of the year
This game is really nice to play and it’s really alot of things to do. If you wanna take the game slowly, go grind xp by killing monsters in between storyline and the game would take awhile to finish.
Those chest are purple?
I just started playing the game and i'm so happy i found it (first time playing) great gameplay, awesome story :D
Literally all of this is explained.
Just finished far cry 5, now it's time to continue this till GOW.
Didn't know you could swap mid fight
Does anyone else have issues with this game being way too easy? I don't even have to do anything during battle, my companions melt the enemies, and I have not been grinding at all.
3 things are 100 percent told in game
How- do I open doors
Playing this game right now. It's awesome game.
Familiars > Higgledies
Ion87 lofty > familiars lol
What the flip
The tutorial tells you number 1 if you read and slow tf down
How about, recruit citizens as you play, don't get stuck needing to recruit 50 citizens and have 26.........
pretty bad compared to the first one but it still has the charm
theres a glitch in the 3rd kingdom where in the final boss for the kingdom the kings maker your team will just charge head first at the magic barrier that it has and then die
This game is sooooooooo good!!!!!!!!!!!
zero RX-79 No its not when you play 100 plus hours and 80 of them went to sidequests that is noot ok . The world is very small and the mainstory is thin and short. I really dont understand how some people thinks this is quality. Sept 4 there you have quality DQ 11.
mana beast That’s your opinion tho :)
NO THAT’S WONG! But this is fact (: the whole game is a big sidefetchquest half of the continent completely empty how is that acceptable ? The game is not bad but it sure has problems.
mana beast I am not denying that it has problems BUT, i would say the tainted monsters and the dream doors are worth it.
Game a easy but they added 2 more difficulty modes.
MUCH better

lmao
Devona, that's Inquisitor Akira you're mocking! The 1000 Man Slayer, AKIRA!
Now i regret throwing out my purple weapons i dont like the color
purple?
Love the game but god I hate the skirmishes easily the worst part of the game
Aaron Briggs i hated them at first bit now that ive gpt my army strong i kinda enjoy em
Young Wikid what’s the best way to get them stronger ? Perhaps I am doing it wrong
Aaron Briggs first u gotta understand what everything does, then playing the low level skirmishes a few times and playing quick skirmishes on hard mode, i was like lvl 14 and hard mode was lvl but its still easy. I watched videos on yt too lol
Skirmishes are actually fun and pretty simple once you figure it out
I will take another approach to them u guys gave me hope haha thx
