Women’s snowboarding in 2010: “and she wins with a switch 540!”

@@alanawalker6522 doubles are the steeziest big tricks. 2008-2012 was imo the golden age for mens big air, between peak travis rice and up and coming halldor, torstein, stale and sage kotsenburg there was just style EVERYHWERE. i feel like we're coming up on the golden age for womens big air before the amount of rotation starts killing off the creativity. though to be fair, marcus' triple nolly rodeo was a sight to behold this year!

@@givemeajackson yeah I'm excited to see where women's snowboarding goes. Between the Japanese crew on big air, and Zoi on slopestyle, I think it's gonna be good. And yeah, Kleveland's Chataine was probably the best trick I've ever seen. Glad the judges awarded him for it.

Great contest. Luckily the runup is long and steep enough so that the snow didn't slow them down too much to push the sport. 1260s and triple underflips are amazing feats for women's snowboarding.

When I used to snowboard in highschool, me and a bunch of my friends made the decision to do double corks at mt. Snow. One did a double frontside rodeo 900 indy off the toes. One did a frontside double cork 1260 tail grab. And I got my backside double 1080 with a mute grab. I have not matched that high since.

The taller you are, the harder it is to keep balance on the board. When you are a high person a head interferes with landing since the coup. Falls are more traumatic for taller people. It is high time to divide into categories by height and weight, as in other sports, since this parameter plays a huge role here.
