Watch as Chris Broderick takes you through a 16th note intervallic riff in C# on this episode of Behind The Riff.
About Jackson:
Jackson began back in the late 1970s, when heavy music experienced a flamboyant and virtuosic resurgence in popularity and a small Southern California guitar repair shop became the epicenter of a new level of shred-approved excellence. Ever since then, Jackson guitars have been universally lauded as the metal guitars; the shred machines-highly original high-performance instruments of distinctive style and formidable substance. From metal’s chart-topping peaks to its darkest recesses, for discerning guitarists all over the globe, Jackson is the only way to go.

#JacksonIsJackson
Chris is a legend, simple AS THAT!
Love this!!
Killer riff
..
My Master!!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
That’s a sic Jackson, I just think it should have the regular Jackson headstock.
Love Chris! I have his US Sig 6 str and hope to save enough for his 7 this year.
I just noticed that Chris uses a thumbpick!! 😲
I've been using one for a long time, mainly because on stage I'm also on keyboards, so I have to change really fast - no time to put down a pick whatsoever: while my guitar rings out I'm already on keys with my right hand.
Happy to see other metal players use them too 🤘😎🤘
He does that because of intricate two-handed tapping. For a long time he's been playing some pieces in which his right hand basically plays the fretboard like the right side of a piano. So same thing, no time to put down the plectrum, then pick it back up. It's not actually a thumbpick though, it's a plectrum holder in which he puts a regular plectrum.
Uhhhh...nice riff bro!!!! jeeeez🤣🤣that's a hell of a riff to be hanging on to..what else is up your sleeve🤔🤔
What a beautiful guitar! And the riff looks sick
Awesome 🎸 playing! you are one of the very best! my guitar is your signature pro 6 series white colour amazing instrument! thank you so much!
Amazing riff, amazing player, amazing guitar
🤘
ARITANA DE OXÓSSI🍀♥️💞🧚♂️🧚♀️
Hot Guitar
If anyone tries to play this just keep in mind it sounds like he's tuned down a 1/2 step! Can't wait to incorporate this into my routine, it sounds dope \m/
Close - he plays his 7 string in C standard - which is a half step up actually!
@@lordapophis93 I think he means the fact that Chris and the video title says C#, but he's playing it in C, so the root is down a half step.
What tuning?, How many strings on guitar, etc.??
Imagine what megadeth would have gone to now if Dave had let him do his own thing. Dave could have learned so much from him.
Por eso
❤️👍🏻
Dasssssssss
Wow! Well done. I love that fiff! Thanks for sharing.

Such an amazing guitarist. One of my favorite players!!!!!!!!!!
Yy⁹
Great video! Thank for this Jackson and Chris i loved it so much!
One question, isn't E# the major third of C#? Because Chris just said E, or because we know we are in C# we're assuming that?
F is the major third of C# guess he just misspoke
I use your 6 string model and so I guess will not be able to try that exact riff by now.. but that 2 voices concept sounds great... Thank you Chris!!
That riff belongs to which song?

Chris Broderick great guitarist
Awesome guitar in this video
why you left megadeth?
Probably because Dave, with all his greatness, is someone hard to deal with.
Mustaine ego as usual
Can I just say that with a guitar player of this caliber how the fuck could anyone be happy with super collider.
You and Jeff Loomis should do a calibration
Very interesting and really outside of what most players are doing today. Chris is a well rounded Musician. The signature Guitars look great BTW he has been jamming on.
Wich song is that?
Sounds like nevermore
Anyone know what this guy has been up to lately?
What is going on with Chris? Is AOD still together?
Hiatus
He is the live guitarist for In flames. Dunno about AOD
Have no idea what's he talking 😂 seriously C# but using 7 string💭 .. no clue. Not a bit!😁. But I always love his playing. Glad he's with In Flames now.

"Hey everybody, Chris Broderick here. Before we get started, you guys might just want to get all of your guitars and lighter fluid ready now rather than halfway through the video."
I'm so jealous of that guitar transparent white but now they added that black burst. So dope it's not fair.
Thanks for the love, Gabe 🤘
@@jacksonguitarsusa I'm the most loyal of Jackson fanatics lol only have 7 so far 6 soloists and one Dinky but I'm always trying to increase that number. A USA though thats a pipe dream.
