This is South Asian music. Maybe we can call it desi music ? 😂 But the instruments here are Indian instruments like the Tabla (drum like) while harmonium is also huge part of Indian classical music & in Pakistan as well. The language is urdu, which i probably find one of the most beautiful languages. The words are so beautiful, I don't know how to explain it 😂 but anything in urdu is lyrically so fantastic. Atif is Pakistani but also sings for Indian film/music industry Bollywood, he signs in urdu or hindi. He is huge in India & Pakistan. South Asian music is amazing & very different in technical aspects. Today we hve an amazing blend of classical music & western style of music here along with classical music still preserved.
The words are amazing when you read the translation, its spiritually uplifting & so tranquil. I guess this is what us westerners dont realise what the Prophet Muhammad (a.s) means to Muslims all over the world.
It's not Arabic music. It's *Urdu language*, which is a language mix of Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Hindko. Thank you. And *this is from South Asia. Particularly Pakistan*. As this is Coke Studio Pakistan. Also all Coke Studio Pakistan music has closed captioning in English and Urdu Roman.

It is a religious song .. guys .. its an invitation to go to Medina/Mecca to pray/worship (possibly a reference for people who go on Hadj ..or pilgrimage to the Kaaba) . Unless you guys in South America listen more often to old Spanish songs you won't be as familiar with Arabic music elements of Spanish music, so maybe that is why you have this inclination to like it because you have it in your Spanish blood :D . The accordion boxed instrument is called a Harmonium. It is a pump organ or sorts whose scales have been slightly modified to fit the this kind of music. Thanks for sharing and reacting.

You've seen Atif in his spiritual mode here. One of my favourite performances by him is a ballad called Channa, also by Coke Studio. I think you'll enjoy that performance. It was the one year Coke Studio Pakistan tried an experimental format in that they had musicians in different countries playing various instruments remotely to the songs. It was such a cool idea. And you really see Atif carrying those musicians along just with the strength of his vocals. If you do watch that video, pay special attention to the expressions on the faces of the musicians. It's a treat to watch.
you would be surprised to know that pakistani music is actually same as indian classical music and these songs are enjoyed equally in pakistan and india . the music culture is literally the same
Not very surprising because Pakistan was literally part of India before 1947. Culture and arts of a place take thousands of years to develop so Pakistani music is the same as Indian music. Even their national language, Urdu, is an Indian language. Just elaborating what u said and why its not surprising why they are same. 😊
Guys, this is a religious hymn in the praise of Muslims Holy Prophet (peace be upon him), just for your info...the way you are loving this is impressive, enhances my trust in humanity.

*MUSIC AND INSTRUMENT ORIGINS* just to be clear guys... this isnt arabic music its not from middle east (maybe be inspired) but its actually South Asian music from India and Pakistan. This is infact NOT a song but a QAWALI (often seen in sufi culture) the Lyrics have some arabic words and references to the religion Islam which is majorly practiced in middle east (and in India and Pakistan) however majority of the lyrics here are in Urdu language (hence why its sounds spiritual). the 3 instuments you wanted to know about are too entirely of indian origin at 1:53 is a *SAROD* (i think) its a string instrument (the sister of the indian instrument SITAR) It is known for a deep, weighty, introspective sound, in contrast with the sweet, overtone-rich texture of the sitar, with sympathetic strings that give it a resonant, reverberant quality. A fretless instrument, it can produce the continuous slides between notes known as meend (glissandi), which are important in Indian music. 2:05 is a *HARMONIUM*. It is like a smaller-sized organ that produces sound when foot-operated bellows sends wind through a pressure-equalizing air reservoir, causing metal reeds (fixed at one end, free at the other) to vibrate. at 8:43 is a TABLA. It is a pair of twin hand drums from the Indian subcontinent. Since the 18th century, tabla has been the principal percussion instrument in Hindustani classical music, where it may be played solo, as accompaniment with other instrument and vocals, and as a part of larger ensembles. Each drum is made of hollowed out wood, clay or metal. The smaller drum (daya) is used for creating treble and tonal sounds, while the primary function of the larger drum (bayan) is for producing bass. They are laced with hoops, thongs and wooden dowels on its sides. The dowels and hoops are used to tighten the tension of the membranes for tuning the drums. hope this was helpful. as an indian and muslim i'd appreciate if you'd educate yourself more on our culture and be able to distinguish it from others. thank you for reacting to this ❤️
So basically coke studio are pretty popular in India and Pakistan , the singer you reacted to right now was like the biggest singer in india and sang one of the most hit songs here in India but due the ongoing tension between india and Pakistan he had to return to his country but again he has started working with Bollywood as far as I know , you should check out more coke studio performance both of Pakistan and india cause the singing style the authenticity the originality is far different from rest of the country and you would be surprised to know that many of the western instruments are originated from india and Pakistan !! ( P.S - the instrument you were curios about is called harmonium its a very popular instrument in pak and india and is known as traditional piano )

@Corona Covid i can see from ur other comments as well that u dont like indian music. But saying its plagarized is pretty far fetched. I m sure its just ur frustration or some false facts u have been fed.
I dont have the context on the stealing of the song u mentioned of a little girl so i ll refrain from saying anything on that.
Maybe revise ur opinion on indian music nd listen to the various sounds in this style. Mybe ur views change

Those tambourines are actually tablas! And the accordion you mentioned was a harmonium. Both of them are very traditional instruments used in classical music in both Pakistan and India, and they're honestly gorgeous. They produce some of the most amazing sounds

I was wondering when you'd react to singers from India, and finally you did and this makes me very happy. (I know its a reaction to Pakistani music but he still is very famous India. There cant be another Atif Aslam. he has a very unique but beautiful voice. One of my favorite singers. My teens were filled with him and he still is a part of my playlist and always will be.)

Yayyy!! I didn't know ya'll were ever gonna do coke studio pk but I'm here for it.
This is South Asian music. Maybe we can call it desi music ? 😂
But the instruments here are Indian instruments like the Tabla (drum like) while harmonium is also huge part of Indian classical music & in Pakistan as well.
I love that you guys actually know about music composition 🖤
Loads of love from Pakistan 🇵🇰🇵🇰
It's not Arabic music. It's *Urdu language*, which is a language mix of Arabic, Turkish, Persian, Hindko. Thank you. And *this is from South Asia. Particularly Pakistan*. As this is Coke Studio Pakistan.
Also all Coke Studio Pakistan music has closed captioning in English and Urdu Roman.
The string instrument is *Rubab/Rabab*
The accordion-like one is *harmonium*
The percussion one is *tabla*
Edit: Honestly, I was here for the K-pop reviews, but this is such a good surprise. Would love if you guys check out more Indo-Pakistani music.
Mind blown performance from all of them!!! Thx for your reaction!! Luv fr Indonesia!!!
This is a spiritual poem. The journey to make pilgrimage. It brings tears to my eyes every time. When he asks for his hands not to be left empty... of blessings.

YAYYY loved this reaction! Atif Aslam has such a strong voice. Check out his other songs which are more pop and dance

Finally you guys need to dive deeper into Indian and pakistani music specially the classical stuff it's a whole new world
You've seen Atif in his spiritual mode here.
the muslims ruled Spain from the 8th to the 15th century, so its natural for Latin music to have some Arabic influence.
Thank you for reacting to this song 🙏🏻 🇵🇭 🇵🇰
yessss, u should dive more into pakistani music!! thank u for this💓

The accordian box thing is known as the Harmonium! Glad to see you react to such different types of music :)
I hope you react to more Pakistani as well as Indian artists!!!

Atif Aslam is very popular in Pakistan Bangladesh and India. This is an original sufi song which shows devotion to God
This is not an Arabic music. This is a "Sufi Music" in Urdu, Punjabi and many other languages spoken in Pakistan.
This is a Sufi music we call it in India and Pakistan these Sufi songs are mostly spiritual actually and I am sorry I am writing so many times becoz I am so excited and want u guys to know correctly about Pakistan and Indian music,🥺
you guys have to absolutely have to react to Afreen Afreen like its too good
Urdu language is poetic language (national language of Pakistan)
He is our legendary singer, Atif Aslam of Pakistan. The language is Urdu, Persian and Arabic. He is from Pakistan. It is a very famous praise of Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him. The instrument is Harmonium and Tabla ( giving sound like drums).
Sabri brothers are really famous for this beautiful composition. Listen to another Legend Amjad Sabri son of Sabri. He was killed in 2017. He was only 42. His last performance on Coke studio got on air after his dearh.
It is a form of genre called Qawali. The reason you felt connected because it's all spritual.
Please listen to Atif Aslams Coke Studio " Asma e Husna"
It’s soooo appropriate that Tajdar e Haram began your Coke Studio Pakistan journey 😍
see more from Coke Studios and Nescafe basement from Pakistan ... and Pakistan is not from the Middle East it's south Asia ... but Pakistani music is the fusion of Turkish Arabic Iranian and Indian as well local music like Punjabi pashto Blachi Sindhi GBs and Kashmiri music ... its a mixture of a lot of music instruments and teams at a time
THE FIRST MUSICAL INSTRUMENT IS CALLED RUBAB,
THE 2ND MUSICAL INSTRUMENT IS CALLED,
HARMONIUM
U guys I am so excited that u guys are getting to know Indian and Pakistani music. U guys should react to Indian musicians too. U will be mind blown❤️
Atif Aslam here is singing a Naat which are words of praise for Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) who Muslims believe in. Coke studio does provide English subtitles so I will recommend turning them on for these videos.
fun fact: besides too many political conflicts, whenever a Pakistani or Indian singer is praised, citizens of both country feel proud.
U GUYS NEED TO REACT TO MORE COKE STUDIO PAKISTAN SONGS. "ROCKSTAR", "TERA WOH PYAR", "AFREEN"
"BOL HU" BY NESCFAE BASEMENT
I love your break down and reaction/experience to a totally new kind of music. This song actually has 300million views on official Coke Studios channel and subtitles too that channel has almost 10million subscribers, you actually watched from Popbox channel, original song below. The song is in Urdu language of Pakistan, it is not an Arab country in Middle east but South Asian country. The string instrument is called Rubab and little drum sounds are from instruments called Tablas. They sing it live no autotune, Atif Aslam is a great singer, they not only focus on vocalist but all the artists and lyrics as well. *MUSIC AND INSTRUMENT ORIGINS*
just to be clear guys... this isnt arabic music its not from middle east (maybe be inspired) but its actually South Asian music from India and Pakistan. This is infact NOT a song but a QAWALI (often seen in sufi culture) the Lyrics have some arabic words and references to the religion Islam which is majorly practiced in middle east (and in India and Pakistan) however majority of the lyrics here are in Urdu language (hence why its sounds spiritual).
the 3 instuments you wanted to know about are too entirely of indian origin
at 1:53 is a *SAROD* (i think) its a string instrument (the sister of the indian instrument SITAR) It is known for a deep, weighty, introspective sound, in contrast with the sweet, overtone-rich texture of the sitar, with sympathetic strings that give it a resonant, reverberant quality.
The dowels and hoops are used to tighten the tension of the membranes for tuning the drums.
hope this was helpful. as an indian and muslim i'd appreciate if you'd educate yourself more on our culture and be able to distinguish it from others. thank you for reacting to this ❤️
@Musa Ahmad easy there
Sufi and qawwali music have Persian origins, not Indian. The instruments used here also include Western instruments like the keyboard.
Please read the lyrics and you will see the true beauty. This isn’t Arabic, it’s Pakistani Sufi Muslim music
OMG THANKYOU FOR REACTING TO THIS MORE COKE STUDIO REACTIONS PLSSS LIKE AFREEN AFREEN , SAB JAG SOYE , ALLAHU AKBAR AND TERA WOH PYAR.❤
