The NordicTrack SE9i is consistently one of NordicTrack’s best selling Ellipticals and for good reason: it has all the essentials at a great price! The SE9i deck pivots to a 10% incline and has 24 resistance levels.

The SE9i features a 7” touchscreen that showcases NordicTrack’s iFit database of workout classes and outdoor routes. Via the touchscreen you can select and view any number of walking, hiking or other outdoor trails while on your SE9i. You can also do indoor classes led by a personal trainer. This is a great feature and an exceptional value!
SMR™ Silent Magnetic Resistance with 24 Digital Resistance Levels
Digital resistance is silent when in use, so the pedals on your SE9i don’t make any noise. They slide back and forth silently so you can use your machine anytime of day or night. Digital preset levels make it so you can always find the right level of resistance each time.
10% Power Adjustable Incline
This unusual feature on an elliptical machine pivots the pedals up to reach a 10% incline -- as if you were walking or hiking up a hill! This makes the SE9i multifunctional and adds more variables to your training routine.
iFit Bluetooth® Smart Chest Strap Included
EKG grips are great, but HR Chest Straps are much more accurate. We love that NordicTrack includes a chest strap with this machine -- it makes it much easier to track your heart rate for accurate training.
325 Lb. User Weight Capacity
This is an impressive user capacity for an elliptical trainer. 325lb will support most users which makes this a great option for those looking to increase their fitness but stay low-impact.
30 Preset Workout Apps
If you don’t want to use iFit, there are 30 preset workouts on the SE9i that will work without any internet or wifi. Simply plug in your machine and you can select any of these preloaded workouts.

Since the SE9i is multifunctional, it is nice to have handlebar controls for ramp and resistance right at your fingertips!
Vertical SpaceSaver® Design
Since this is a rear-drive elliptical, it does take a bit of floor space, however, the vertical space saver design makes it look light and airy -- like it’s floating in your room -- so it doesn’t look heavy in your workout space.
Really appreciate you actually showing the features, not just talking about them. Now for my word of warning.
I have an older model elliptical that I am rebuilding and needed the paint codes to spot-repaint the frame and moving parts the original color. First day- 27 minutes on hold and gave up. 2nd day- I read emails while on hold. 34 minutes later got a customer rep. Requested simple original paint codes for my model. Was told they needed to register my product first. My 14 year old, second owner product... for just the paint codes. I escalated the request to a supervisor and was given the same excuse, with the addition that there was a legal issue involved and they needed my personal information (name, address, email address, phone number). Only Norditrack does this. And for a machine that is 14 years old, and came with a 90 day only warranty when new. To have a 14 year old machine working and looking like new would have been positive advertising for Norditrack, but they decided to go the opposite direction. I'll repaint the machine w/o their paint codes, and will have a story to tell that will stay with the machine. Something to think about when deciding which manufacturer to go with. Thanks for this review! Just bought this machine - very excited to give it a go once it arrives. It also seems they’ve upgraded the screen since this review too - now has 14in screen on the SE9i!

I got this machine this past year and I hate it. It feels very wobbly and for some reason on minimal resistance it feels SO heavy. It feels like the ellipticals at my gym set on level 12 or so. It oddly feels more like a stairmaster than an elliptical.
Does the elliptical work your legs?
Hi, can you help me please..I’ve been trying to access the 30 onboard workouts, and I’ve looked at the manual and I can’t find how to get the programs to come up with the iFIT on the screen...any help you can give with this problem would be greatly appreciated...

The NordicTrack Commercial 14.9? Usually you can go on NordicTrack's website and join the chat feature to chat with a salesman and order one through them. Thanks for the review. I bought one of these based on the review and I came back because I remember you showed how to fold it which I had never done in the 6 months I have had it.
I love this machine. Something to note though as I feel that it is more difficult to move the pedals compared to machines I am used to from the gym. It took me a while for even the simplest setting to be comfortable for me. Not a big deal because I want a good workout after all.
Can you use this elliptical even with power outage? Thx.
The pedals and handles will move, but the screen won't operate without electricity.
Have you used the Norditrack 14.9 elliptical? And your thoughts
Yes. The 14.9 is very smooth and has a nice, large screen. It is more stable than the SE9i but doesn't fold up.

How is the stability of the console for a person North of 200LBS?
Very stable, one of our reviewers is about 230 lbs and doesn't have any stability issues at all.

whats are the measurements of this machine ?
Question about head clearance when the incline is at its lowest. I'm 5'10". My home gym is in my basement where the ceiling height is only 7'4". If I don't plan to use the incline feature at all, do I have enough room to use the machine safely?
I would be a little hesitant to use this elliptical in your basement since even at a 0% grade, you'll only have a few inches of head clearance. The step-up height from the lowest pedal, not on an incline is about 12" high and the pedal moves up a couple inches as you use the machine. You'll most likely have about 3" or so of clearance. If you're interested in other models, I'm happy to recommend others that might work better in your space.
which one is better? this or commercial 14.9? I recently moved to new apartment that has wooden floor. It makes so much noise even with thick treadmill pads. I can no longer use my treadmill in this apartment and my cheap elliptical is too loud too. :(
The 14.9 is more stable and has a larger touchscreen. We'd recommend that over the SE9i

Do you need the ifit subscription in order to use this machine?
No you don't need ifit ...you can still get your stats, miles, calories, etc
