I feel like the golden age of Elphaba's is returning! I love the amount of fresh faces we're seeing for a show that loves to recycle old cast members. They're all coming in and showing from day one that they're gonna give the audiences the best experience they can have😭 With the movie coming out as well which is just going to further solidify Wicked's life onstage, plus the some of the best casts we've had in a long time, understudies and standbys included..wicked seems to be future proofed for I'd say another ten years. God I love this show 😭💚
I’m so glad you got this! I was at this show too and witnessed Carly’s debut, and I came out of it telling everyone she SLAYED Defying Gravity. Makes me emotional thinking of what that must feel like being up high in the spotlight, hitting that last note for the first time
Just saw the final show today somebody better have the bootleg of Lauren’s defying gravity because I SWEAR that was the BEST defying gravity I’ve seen and heard and I’ve seen tons of Elphie’s (saw Wicked when it first came here in 2005 with Stephanie J Block)
Preflight lines was slightly messed up but still great!! I vaguely remember another Elphaba made the exact same mistake too but can’t remember who exactly.

I kind of prefer it like this rather than rushing to get all of them out… though I must admit I think Shoshana’s Halloween “mess up” is my favourite
