Greetings from Canada! The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is one of the most iconic planes that was ever designed and manufactured here in Canada, along with it's follow ons such as the DHC-3 Otter, and and DHC-6 Twin Otter among others. It's nice to see a flying model of the Beaver with such impressive performance.
Another awesome day Bruce. The best bit for me was flying Tim’s beaver before I flew my own which has been in my hangar for 18 months lol....I’ll definitely bring it out now tho. Bring on the summer👌
Having my morning coffee, watching this video as I take the floats off my FMS Beaver to get it ready for todays flights from grass. It is a fantastic airplane. I have some videos taken with a gopro on mine flying with floats if anybody wants to check them out. Nice flying, and camera work.
I admire Tim's bravery. No plane of mine would go anywhere near the club until such time as I have fully built it and tested everything at least twice ( _and even that isn't guaranteed to prevent maiden fails_ ) I've always thought that all Beavers need bigger wheels than are usually fitted (the heck with scale) but that may have a lot to do with my landing "skills".
thanks for posting. some observations. at 6:30, the generally low acceleration rate of a miniature Cargo plane at 100 percent throttle is seen. at 7:15. the pilot should consider this fact. if throttle/thrust is not correctly managed during a flaps-down landing, airspeed can fall Below stall speed, Before the wheels are on the ground. cheers googletranslate
say no to crack lol i was eating breakfast lol.. omg... more mens bums lol..Rons such a good helper..that Beaver is a lovely model...almost as good as my supercub lol great landings!!
That launch, at the start of the video, is the saddest thing I have seen when the next launch resulted in the glider suffering damage that resulted in breaking its wings totally off. When you want to launch your minter planes ask a person who cares about a running launch. Sorry Mike to see your plane in bits.
I fucking love these Ron dance moves. Keep it up Bruce!
Very nice to see Tim use the whole throttle range! You guys are great!

Ground effect? That'd be when the aircraft separates into it's component parts during a heavy landing?
That intro was hysterical 🙏🙏🙏, and remember"Just Say 🚫" 😎
I like this. It's the fun and comrardary that we all know and love at the airfield.
That's a nicer Beaver than the one I saw the other night.
Scary watching you guys.... but you all appear to be having fun, and that’s what counts.
Awesome STOL plane on deck here but at 10:55 folks, this movie gets real good. Chasing and catching her and the shadow? what you say? Gorgeous mate.
Bruce....i fell over laughing....showing that mans ass crack...
I love the dancing with music....
Thanks Bruce!

Certainly lacking Trim...
