I was disappointed when the anime adaption of Zatch Bell!/Konjiki no Gash Bell!! and Bleach ended too early while the manga was still on-going. But the anime version of Zatch Bell! was going off-course from the manga near the end (making it semi-canon). I don't know if you already read the manga yet but if you want to continue off to the canon parts of the anime with the manga, I recommend starting on Chapter 212 after watching Episode 138. Plus, after the manga, there is the Konjiki no Gash Bell!! Gaiden: Friend one-off special, taking place after the Mamodo/Demon Battle in the Mamodo/Demon World. And I created my own Zatch Bell! fan fiction to serve as a non-canon sequel (based after the manga version) in the Mamodo/Demon World.
Yeah haven't started the manga yet kinda took a break from the anime but will start the manga soon, I think I'm going to start all the way from the beginning though. Also thanks for the special one off thing didn't know about that, do you know if the writer (his name currently escapes me) will ever return to the Zatch Bell world? Did he ever say if he would?
Obviously if he did it probably wouldn't be about Zatch (though that would be badass) and it wouldn't be with the same people because if what ever that dispute was about but I like the lore of Zatch Bell and the emotional connection the show made with characters. Heard the manga was even better at this. Is it true?

Just finished rewatching the anime for the 3rd time. Remember seeing it back on Toonami when I was 7. Such an underrated show, hopefully we get a remake of the Faudo arc if the continuation manga gets steam.
