Ok not going to lie: I came on ready to be a keyboard warrior because I went to one of the shows and as an engineer I wasn't happy. Somewhere between Adam's performance and the way the vocals sat so far back I was just angry through half of the show. And it's hard to please an engineer in the crowd who's paid money for the show. And I know that often I can see the forest through the trees. But listening to him in this interview, and remembering how the crowd sang louder than Adam on the old hits, and how an emotion of happiness was achieved, I need to shut the he'll up. He did a good job. This was a good interview, and a good wake up call for me. Thank you.
On another channel the interviewer asked the sound guy an old timer…if he saw the board as an instrument…that allowed him to be let’s say the 5 th member of the band the engineer said yes…..I’m glad he asked that question? Because digital or analog when the flow is happening between band foh and audience it’s a n amazing feeling…and in my opinion that’s when your not thinking or doing just being….

It's so hard for me to take my engineer hat off sometimes. I just have to remind myself I have the night off and to enjoy the show.
