Wow, this is called Petch, this simuliar versions of this game called Percy Penguin,Chilly Willy, Pengon, and Pengo. I liked chilly Willy The best a kid from school let me borrow a kodak disk with a game called Chilly Willy and had some amazing music in Chilly Willy.
Yes and yes. This game doesn't get very high rank on my nostalgia value list partly because the cassette I had the game on got corrupted pretty early. Perhaps I was lucky there...
I know that music... Well, at-least the title & the round-completion music. As the copy my brother got was flawed. BTW: If marcusmalone thinks an infinite loop of of "popcorn is bad, he should try the funky version of the theme from "Dallas"!
I love this game when I was 6. Unforgetable music
I was 11 when this came out and was my favourite. Have never forgotten the music!
The same year, that I was born.
I had commodore 64. I was playing this game. Was one of my favourites.
I played this far too many times in 1984 when I should have been revising for my O levels!
The music in conjunction with the video is mesmerizing. I so have to watch this again next time I'm high.
Thanks for sharing... I had this for C16. The gameplay is quite similar to Tutti Frutti (3rd Level).
Its a Sega Pengo Clone. Even the arcade Pengo machine used the Popcorn melody in 1982.
As I kid I always wondered if and how you could play as the other colored petches. That would have been just great.

That's part of the charm with puzzle games like this one: the super-annoying and yet super-addictive music.

I don't remember the enemies infinitely re-spawning...
