    Thanks for the review! I debated between an Apple Watch and the oura ring, and went with the Apple Watch. So happy I did after doing my research and hearing your opinions. The watch tracks your sleep, picks up your activities and gym workouts. And it’s all free, no monthly subscription. Plus you can change out the watch straps and dress it up or down. I switched to natural cycles, which is why I bought the Apple Watch (my partner got ✂️ so we’re using it as a secondary method), and I’m comparing it to Apple health cycle tracking.

    I’ve had the Oura ring for a few months as well, and I totally agree about the alcohol consumption! I hate seeing how much it effects my sleep and readiness - knowing that I want to have a productive weekend, it’s honestly a deterrent 😅

    Be careful using your cycle as birth control. I tried to do that and freakishly ovulated 2 weeks late and now have a 1 year old 😂

      ^ this also happened to me, ovulated one week late when I normally have extremely regular cycles

      Forgive me for being blunt with this but dont you guys use the pull out method while tracking your cycle though?

    • @gracec.5681
      @gracec.5681 4 месяца назад

      @@Strawberrrshortcake you pull out around the time you’re ovulating because that’s the only time you can get pregnant. These apps use data from past months to predict when you’re ovulating in the future and temperature can add to the accuracy with it but your body isn’t always predictable and can do weird stuff. I took my temperature daily and tracked it. I only had unprotected sex once and it was weeks after the app said I should have ovulated but my body decided to do something weird that month 🤷🏻‍♀️

      Oura rings don’t just use your cycle - it is temperature based (your temperature changes within your cycle) - you have to pay for ‘Natural Cycles’ with the ring membership on the side. It works with an unpredictable cycle and is FDA approved as birth control (96% success rate).

      @@TrailRunner44 I was taking my temperature everyday too when I got pregnant. I don’t know if I ovulated twice or what but 96% is not 100%. I’m just saying to be careful when using this as your only form of birth control

    I've had an Apple watch now for years and years straight on my wrist, and I've had the Oura gen 3 on my finger since it came out. You kinda have to "teach" your Oura ring, it gets smarter with time as it gets to know you. When you've completed your workout, it asks you did you workout and you can choose from sooo many (like 20) different types of workouts and you pick the one you've done and with time it recognizes it more easily as it learns to know you.

    I love the period tracking features the Oura ring offers but I HATE the subscription model 🙄🙄 after spending hundreds of dollars I don’t want to keep being charged monthly just to use the product.

    I love the whoop because when I’m at cheer practice I stuff it in my sports bra and can have all the info about my workout 😅 but yea it’s not aesthetic and me when I take it off you can see the tan lines lmao!

    Love the vid! As someone with an Apple Watch I feel like the watch does the best of both Whoop and Oura ring. I feel like you'd really like it!

      LOVE my apple watch. It's great that you can switch the band out to match your style. I'm a corporate girlie and I have it switched to not look as much like a sports watch. Also, great tracking if you're a runner
