    Good on you for finding a method that works for you. Sure a $500 ring and $120 app subscription sounds expensive, but never as expensive as a baby hahaha. Thanks for introducing me to a way to measure temperatures easier.

      Thank you! Yes I think when I got mine NC gave me some $40 off but that was it. Honestly I’m still awaiting to hear back from my appeal to get that $120 reimbursed 🤞
      Totally! I’m glad it’s helpful it’s so much for convenient and I also feel like all the additional info I get for health decisions is worth it. Thanks for stopping by!

    Hello curious what your experience was with para guard copper IUD. I struggled with recurrent yeast infections since 2019 and finally my gyno referred me to a specialist I was put on a extended diflucan of fluconazole regimen that seemed to help cure me then a 5 months later it started all over again. My specialist said that the copper IUD has been linked to biofilm and that was a probable cause for the yeast so it was removed so the alternative option is hormones and I've been angry emotional and just really unhappy and bad anxiety to not to mention the blood clot disclaimers for women over 30😢 I just ordered my oura ring and subscribed to natural cycles. Since your video I definitely feel better that I invested in the ring instead of the thermometer. It needs to be easy. Curious what your issue was with the copper IUD since mine was removed no issues with yeast infections it has been. 1 month

    Loved hearing your review! I also switched off of hormonal birth control a few years ago and love it. I use a different method, but I love hearing about your experience and more about the Natural Cycles app which I've heard a lot about. Whether people choose hormonal bc or not, learning about the different parts of your cycle and how it effects your hormones is invaluable. They should teach young girls about their cycles in health class, in my opinion. So empowering to understand and know your body!

      Yes! It’s so important to educate ourselves and others about how much this impacts our daily lives. I wish they taught us more about this in school!

    my SIL had the oura ring and I really want to get off birth control. I already have an apple watch so I might try that first. So sad they have to charge us so much! thank you for your review.

    Thank you for sharing! I got off of the depo shot December. I haven’t gotten my period since February 2023… I’m really hoping the ring will allow me a better evaluation of my health. I wish they taught us women about our cycles

    Thanks for this video! I just bought my ring and enrolled in the apps. I'm planning to get pregnant and bought the ring for the TTC, pregnancy, and postpartum journey. I hope you earn your lifetime free subscription! I used another creators link before I saw your video.

    With the Oura ring now eligible with HSA, I will most likely purchase. I just want to make sure my employer will reimburse the subscription (they do for my Peloton subscription). If they will, I'll purchase during their Black Friday sale.

      Im getting the natural cycles membership reimbursed by my insurance and it should be covered by all types of insurances as it’s part of the affordable care act. You just might need a prescription from your gyno.

    i’m considering buying one but not sure if i should wait for apple to bring out their own version… its rumoured to be on the way but no dates yet. i’m getting off hormonal bc next week and so relieved to be making that step.

      I think Apple already has their own temperature app but I find the oura ring to have much more detailed stats and more insight than other health bands. And they’re always updating what data is available to us! As for the app, I’ve used other tracking ones and I’ve found NC to be my favorite.

    Is it still working for you as a birth control? I’m thinking of trying this instead of hormonal birth control and am curious about its effectiveness.

    • @violetsdigest
      @violetsdigest  3 месяца назад +2

      Yes! I’m still using it as my form of BC and it’s pretty accurate! No issues yet despite “somewhat accidents” if you know what I mean….but a lot of it has to also do with discipline. They taught me a lot about how pregnancy actually happens, for example days you can actually get pregnant on, etc.!

    • @violetsdigest
      @violetsdigest  3 месяца назад

      I’d say you have to be more careful the first few months while it gets a better accuracy of your body and after consistent data it gets even more exact!

    How did you go about getting it covered by insurance?

    • @violetsdigest
      @violetsdigest  5 месяцев назад

      I didn’t try my insurance I attempted to get it covered by HSA since my workplace gives US dollar credit if we complete certain health tasks. I’ve read on their website that you can potentially get it covered by insurance in the same way by filing it under birth control.
