I'm interested in cooking for my Weimaraner and Staffordshire Bull Terrier
I'm a first time dog owner and I've been feeding my dog kibble, I want to switch a home cook meal or raw diets,
they are 1 year old and 7 months I want to do the right thing nutritionally, but I don't know where to begin.
Hi Ayesha I work for Dr. Judy Morgan. I am so happy you are ready to take the first step to help your pups eat better. Here are a few things I recommend for home cooking. Dr. Morgan has a cook Yin and Yang. It has tons of recipes and a chapter on how to balance the food. You can feed the food raw or lightly cooked. The book is available on Dr. Morgan’s website or on Amazon. Secondly Dr. Morgan put out a cooking course that talks about supplements, what brands she recommends, how you can balance home cooked meals. I will post the links below for the course as well as her books. Hope this helps you in getting started. If you want to feed commercial raw/lightly cooked a few brands Dr. Morgan recommends are Allprovide, small batch, raised right, Dr. Harvey’s, primal.

Is this course good for a 12 year old yorkie with pancreatitis?
Yes the cooking course will help you understand how to balance your home cooked meals. For recipes for pancreatitis I recommend getting Dr. Morgan’s Yin and Yang book.

Will your new book do this...actually give recipes for babies?
Dr. Morgan doesn't advise giving puppies a homemade diet. They need special formulations for proper growth. If you follow her on facebook she has talked about it more than once. She does say the commercial raw puppy food by-

Leslie...if that is the company she recommends then I will do just that. I have not even gotten my puppy yet & after listening to Dr. Morgan & reg Vets I don't even trust those others. She knows what she is talking about & doesn't believe in all those shots & bagged foods along. With her love of animals. That has been the reason why I wanted to
know what she recommends. I will check that out. If there are other things please let me know. I appreciate it.

@@flowersflowers5070 I have used it. My dogs really liked it, but I had to lower their fat consumption due to a health issue with one of them and stopped buying it. It has a pretty high fat content. I buy premade raw from hare today and My Pet Carnivore. I also cook for them. Just take your time and really do some research, and by the time your pup is old enough to eat a cooked (or raw diet) you will be ready.
