i had a complete stoppage of a certain note, my daily updates. but i realized that the file was just too long, and when i cut it in half, then it started working again. Maybe there is a limit size to how long a note can be?

The best tips you should try is: Delete the notes app form both devices and then install it again and sync. Note: don't forget to backup first the notes to icloud before you delete it.

You should update the last advice of deleting Notes app. If you never synced your notes to the cloud, you will lose them once you delete the app from your iPhone.
