When we had a PriceLess in Irvine they had the cherry chip, but I haven’t seen it since anywhere my MawMaw always made a Cherry Chip cake for my Daddy’s birthday so good♥️♥️ Great looking cookies💙💙

I love cake mix cookies. usually I do two boxes to can of frosting. I don't think I have seen the cherry chip to be honest I just get the flavor I want and don't look around at the other flavors

I also made some cookies out of a white cake mix and butterscotch chips, I think they were both on sale, and added some pecans I had left. Really good, and easy.

We used Betty Crocker mixes a lot growing up since they were cheap.. 😂We never used this one though since none of us were into cherry that much...
But we used the brownie mixes a lot, and my favorite cake mix was the spice cake 😃(And yes, plain! lol)

cherry chip is one of my absolute faves! i would also add a tiny bit of almond extract. I wish we had the cherry frosting in canada..but at least we have the cake mix!

I’ve made these before and I have to agree with Kevin- there’s an artificial flavor that is off putting to me, unfortunately. I use different flavors and they come out great though

One of my family's favorite cake mix recipe is one of my easiest. It's from the website, The Girl Who Ate Everything and they are called Cake Batter Blondies. They are sweet and gooey and almost under baked. Yum!

Unsweetened koolaid packets can be mixed in to cake batter I’ve done it many times… or into vanilla (white) frosting… I’ve never had issue getting frosting out of can… using a beater seems unnecessary
I’ve never had an issue either. It’s easier just to use a knife or spoon.
I always added chocolate chips to my cherry chip cookies
You could chop up some maraschino cherries and put them in there, with the almond extract 😊

I went to Betty crocker website and probably tried at least 20 zip codes and none of them even major cities bring this cake mix up in stock! Yet the company insists that it is still available and that you can ask your store manager to stock it but all of the comments indicate they think it's been discontinued because it is so hard to find. If I ever do find it I definitely want to try this!
We never see it around here either.

I would bake them just like this the first time so you’ll know what adjustments to make the next time. They may still bake exactly the same.
