If you wet the notched part of the fabric that you are folding over, it will be easier to fold.
That looks a lot easier then trying to applique it to the top. Giving that a try! Thank you!

Good idea. I came across an idea of using a craft knife to cut from the inside to the edge of the material which makes it easier.

Thank you SO much... I have some round-ish thread-painting embroidery pieces that I want to make into pillows.... Could NOT figure out how to do 360 degrees of "facing".
