Thanks for this helpful information. Please explain the paper handling sizes. I have the 2850 and am confused as to whether it prints 11x17 although it lists that size on the spec sheet.
obviously select 11x17 from your desktop driver.

This printer works through the Epson application. I notice that no one mentions that the scale is set and can't be changed. I do.not always want to print with borders.

Looking for a printer to convert to edible ink using icing sheets and wafer paper. You said the 2850 cannot do card stock, and said the 3850 can, however you didnt mention this in the review. I dont think icing sheets are as thick as paper stock, would you know if both of these printers will be good? Aslo I was looking at the ST C2100. I cannot find out much about this printer?
Looking to purchase this printer if it can handle card stock. Can you please advise on lb/gsm paper weight or if there can be adjustments or hacks for printing card stock? Thanks!

Windows
Select the print command in your application.
Make sure your product is selected.
Click Printer Properties, Properties, or Preferences. ...
Click the Main tab.
Select Reverse Order.
Click OK.

The ink tank system appears to be much better than the cartridge system ruclips.net/user/postUgkxciSwynMJ7PnUvvx11rewiu-yFBkZTl53 and a lot cheaper to run. The machine was easy to set up. A small point but I thought they'd be a USB cable included to help with the set up but there was none. I've been using it now for a few weeks and it seems like a good product and superior to my previous printers which were all troublesome HP machines.
Also a big difference is the maintenance of these 2 printers. The 2850 requires sponges and the 3850 has a maintenance box.

you missed the obvious difference that the 3850 allows for direct connection with an usb cable (which you need to buy separately). Nobody cares about printing speed - it's fire and forget.
