When I had my sub frame off I put a nut and bolt in each hole and managed to tack the nut by flipping the frame around. Now I can zip the bolts in and out
So what's the main plan for this Nova? I'm interested in seeing a drum to disc conversion if you're wanting to do that. Awww, your cat wants your love. Or to drive you crazy. They're good at both really.
Love the cat! like dirt every day guy said "first step, remove cat." My old friend and race car fabricator told me many years ago to never trust anyone that did not like cats. I have found this to be very true.
@Shop209 yeah I think what my buddy was basically trying to say people that do not like cats have to be the center of attention kind of thing if I think you know what I mean.
Great video! My 69 origanal 307 3 speed in the floor the distributor was so close to the fire wall i had to hammer it and that was for a points type distributor. Ever heard of that?
Long wrench and piece of Tape , Just did it on my S-10 , installing a small block V-8 350 and I still have that 49 and 1/2 inch Nova hood and the 74 Nova
Who knew a cat would have so much to say about Nova motor mounts
That's awesome!!! That's like Derek with his shop cats!!!😅 my cat is just as vocal!!!
She just wanted to talk and talk and talk. Lol

I like the new assistant!!
Your new co-host had a lot to say about motor mounts!
Thanks for the MM bolt install video!
Thanks for the tip! I'll be installing my motor mounts soon on my 70'
Shop supervisor, the cat. Gotta love him
Thank you for the tip.

I’m not revealing what’s going on with this car just yet. Been working on 4 door a bunch too.

I’m a dog guy mostly but I like cats too

We have 2 cats that do the same thing to me , Good video 👍
If you don't have flanged nuts, then tape works well.
I ended up using a swivel head ratchet and a crows foot to get the job done.
Have you ever posted a video on manual trans floor shift conversion. Specifically where and how big to cut the hole in the floorboard.
Not yet. I plan to do that soon. Looking for a deal on a 4 or 5 speed.
Hahaha love the cat! 😂

Yeah. The later firewalls had a bigger recess. The motor mounts being wrong can definitely cause clearance issues with dist too.
@Shop209 I will measure them next chance I get but to the best of my knowledge they were original to the 307 so I'm guessing the shorter wider ones
Cats equal views! 🤣😜🤣😺😺😺!

So what's the best choice for headers, power steering, deep oil pan small block? Tall stands?
I’m using Hedman 65003 headers on mine. Some spark plug fit headaches on cylinder 5 but that’s mostly my AFR heads.
🤓👍
So what's the shop cat's name?
Right now it’s shop cat. Although I started calling it Mouth. It just showed up and slipped in thru my very secure and tight “garage door”
Hey I have rusted drip rail on the passenger side I can’t find drip rails online. What would you do?
I have a video on this. I used Camaro drip rails
Well, I’m sure some will disagree, but I’m lazy, and I would had the welder ready to put them in their place.
