Mine just arrived, and I too wondered where I should be putting the stickers :p I'm heading from Portsmouth to Spain with my car at the end of the month, and while I'll primarily be staying at long-stay airbnbs and coliving spaces, I bought this as I'm a musician, and would love to have a portable setup where I can power my music equipment on the go. Imagine an impromptu music jam by a lake or up a mountain road... could be very cool. anyway, nice to see you like yours, I like mine so far :)
I bought one of these a while back. The outlets aren't as much of a problem in the US, but I agree they should have done better. My biggest complaint is that, at least over here, the wall charger is only 60w. I am mostly using it as a UPS for my networking equipment but that can draw up to 80w. Just something for people to be aware of if they are not charging with solar.
It's 90w on mine here in the UK... which puts about 88w into it. On the solar, I have a 200w panel that inputted an average of 93w on a fairly sunny morning last week. 0n a poor winter day, I think that would drop drastically. So IMHO I think someone need to come up with a DC5521 splitter jack to 2 sockets... a little like the 12v cigarette lighter hubs. Then you could power two panels, and as the unit has a built in controller, it should avoid over charging. Ps I have the extra battery too, which give you around 200% more than the 600x jump unit on its own. Only drawback is it takes around 10 hours to charge from zero to 100% full on both, at 100w max charge... so let's hope vtoman can make some little adaptions to achive this.
by the way, r.e. the awkward insertion of plugs; from what I understand, laying the box on it's back shouldn't be too much of a problem, right? I assume that as long as you are gentle in doing so and aren't putting it on it's side (and thus blocking the vents) then it shouldn't damage the power station? I sure hope so otherwise this will indeed become a problem!

I think this will be excellent for your trip especially if you charge it up in the Air B and B’s

interesting. I am tending to use mine to charge my phones and iPads etc. I have it connected to solar and so far so good.
the charging from the mains looks poor --- why have they done this ?
@@composedlight6850 not sure what you mean.

@@boatingsibbingandwandering3262 the other flap next to the car jump connector, is for the extra battery to connect to the base unit.

Yes I think you could lay it down as you suggest quite easily
Calum, I have two batteries, and I use them this way in the foot well of the back seats in my berlingo, works fine 🙂
This is good
Just received the 600x I think it has a issue when I activated the ac button I makes a grinding terrible sound. Does yours do that
No but the fan does come on which makes a noise but not grinding
@boatingsibbingandwandering3262 thanks for replying I've reached out to VTOMAN
