This was my ABSOLUTE favorite episode of the ENTIRE show. The writing and conversations were just so raw and very organic. It felt necessary and realistic. I love the show but LOVED this episode 😊
@@Noloyiso_M i was contemplating this concept watching episode 9. from what i've seen, Issa hasn't had a mirror pep talk in like 3-4 episodes. it might be an indicator of her leveling up and being self assured/confident
This episode was soooo amazingly beautiful I caught myself smiling the whole episode and I felt butterflies with Issa 😍😍 the convos were much needed and it was great seeing Issa and Lawrence's chemistry and why they had fallen in love in the first place.
I really hope Issa and Lawrence get married. Let love win!!! I watched this episode at lease 20 times. The love scene was sensuously beautiful, like Love and Basketball. Loved the music. The energy. The rich meaningful conversation. It saved the season for me.
Authentik Beauty Spirituality Thank you i am not the only one . I think i have you beat though. I hope if Lawrence is who she wants that she lets Nathan know soon. I say it all the time Timing is a everything. Let the Love of Issa and Lawrence ring.
Yes @Authentik Beauty Spirituality I loved the episode and couldn't get enough either. I also watched it several times. Lol, glad to know I'm not the only one. Love ur comparison to Love & Basketball.
@Tanisha W...Me too. Even worse seeing your situation play out on a screen, knowing you can't get answers b/c he passed away😭 The irony and tragedy. Blessings and Light🦋🦋🦋
Truth we didn’t really see Issa and Lawrence together. He was a struggling couch potato and she was grinding. I’d like to see them go thru more ups together. They both deserve it.
This episode was really beautiful and it was nice to see them be honest with each other and have a very grown up conversation. I also enjoyed the funny moments, (Issa falling at the Bar, them running into TSA Bae and then Lawrence doing the Bllatt) 🤣😂. Such a well rounded, thoughtful and solid episode. Well done Natasha Rothwell.
Someone in the comments mentioned that we didn't truly get to see Issa and Lawrence in a relationship. This is true. It would be nice to see this more in Season 5. Great writing. Can't wait for the next season to begin.
I laughed so hard when issa said “ two more episodes, what’s gonna happen?who knows..” issa & prentice said “well we know *cracks up laughing*” deaaadds 😭 I cant wait for the finale!
Lawrences character is really challenging. You can't help but innately root for him and the illusory 'Love story' but when you look at him and the relationship closely it's quite toxic for both of them. When I peek at it with a magnifying glass although both Issa and Lawrence have a lot of emotional maturing to do, Issa seems to really step up to the plate when she's without Lawrence as appose to him just trying to seek that false sense of comfort or stability in another woman, job or friend. Him coming back to Issa feels less out of Love and more out of fear, he was texting Condola the night he took Issa out for a drink/dinner! It was also Issas' efforts AGAIN that initiated the re-ignition of the relationship, he had the chance but took it to make plans with condola!? If Issa hadn't asked to stay he probably would've ended up sleeping with Condola that night, is that really what Issa deserves? Lawrence needs help and that help is beyond Issa or any woman. He's so unable to commit to something because of all his walls that he refuses to acknowledge and take down himself. A womans power can help guide an emotional process yes, but to expect her to do it all for you... it's so common and although I'd usually root for the Lawrence.. I'm rooting for team Issa and maybe a little bit of Nathan who is willing to face his demons/mistakes and own up to them without a selfish motive!
You know .... I have a feeling that season five will be similar to the show the game what happened with derwin and Melanie, it just happens to be a coincidence that jay Ellis was on the tv show the game and the lady that played issa’s mom ( Wendy Raquel ) I’m just brain storming 😃
For the sake of the show, I'm not entirely sure I want Issa and Lawrence back. I feel like where do we go from here? I would think that they would get back together when the show is about to end. I think them being together woulda sorta make the show lose some of its edge. If that makes sense?
It kinda does, but also remember we haven't seen a healthy functional relationship with productive challenges and small wins between Issa and Lawrence. If they were to get back together I think we would all be on edge waiting for the shoe to drop cause we're used to them being in a state of mess.
This was my ABSOLUTE favorite episode of the ENTIRE show. The writing and conversations were just so raw and very organic. It felt necessary and realistic. I love the show but LOVED this episode 😊
Issa and Jay Ellis have great off screen chemistry as well.
They're both Capricorns!
I LOVE ISSA AND LAWRENCE TOGETHER ❤️😩 I’ve rewatched this episode 4 times and counting...
When Issa called Condola a knat, I was like yes trick be gone..😂😂😂😂
I totally thought we’d see her in his bathroom giving herself a talk!! LOL
A Brown I was waiting for it.
I wonder if her not needing the mirror is indicative that she is actually ready to face herself productively

I would not be surprised if season 5 is all about them preparing for their wedding. I feel like they’re going to be endgame.

@@RealLoveNoShade that would be so dope!
I was shedding some tears during this episode. I felt like they were having the closure conversation I never got to have. Natasha is a gem.

This episode was gold
I’m was so happy to see them talk out their issues.
Issa really doesn't like Lawrence Hive. She can't hide her disgust. I love them so much!
I so Loved this Show ... Loved the fact of Issa wearing the natural hair styles throughout the entirety of the show So Dope..
I’ve been waiting on y’all to post. Jay Ellis fine btw.

Despite the finale i will forever go back to this episode for a lil dosage of hapiness😍😍😍😍
I just want to say thank you for filming transparency in this episode!! It was soooo refreshing and entertaining to watch! Keep it up!!
I can’t believe Jay Ellis is 38
Why? He's only two years older than Issa.

Jay Ellis aka Martin Lawrence is hilarious 😂😂

These Wine Downs are the best. It is really good critical thinking. Thank you.
Life member of the Lawrence Hive.
Issa and Lawrence 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
They better get married at this point okuurrrr
Don't be fooled folks Lawrence is going to San Francisco and then they will be over. I do like them being together though, I couldn't believe it.
I dont want them together but I do think he should move to SF he needs a fresh start in a new city!
@@goldblumlover3037 I like them together and I liked them apart..lol Such a great show.

This was a dope recap. Dope energy
I truly don’t want to hear anything Lawrence has to say. I’m mad at him. 🗣 HOW COULD YOU LAWRENCE!!!!! 😂

They didn't post this last week.
@@Smartkid2387 thanks. I thought I was missing something!? ❤
@@KiaFlow they just posted season 9 wine down 🤗
Please tell me where Jay Ellis got that jacket from?!? I love it 🧐
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Like Nathan/Kendrick said... Lawrence seems "sometime-y". I'm still team Nathan especially after season finale. 🤷🏽♀️
Huh Nathan runs off. That's very sometime-y
Cannot stand Lawrence. Issa should’ve dropped him like a hot potato
I would not be suprised if these two have something going on outside of the show.
Issa is engaged and Jay Ellis is married lol you messy 😂😂
Yeah I agree
I hate them together. He should be too mad about her and Daniel.
I think this episode was closure for Issa and Lawrence as a couple and Daniel is really Issa's true love.
Daniel? They don't provide anything for each other.
Nott! The chemistry between Issa and Daniel vs. Issa and Lawrence cannot be compared or denied! Have u really been watching this show?
