I live Outside of Tecumseh Oklahoma. After traveling with my Van Halen tribute band to Iowa Minnesota Arkansas Mississippi Texas Los Angeles California and of course lots of places in Oklahoma... I can say that I appreciate my Tecumseh Oklahoma home more than ever. I live about 8 miles west of Tecumseh and a little over 20 miles east of Norman. Shawnee twin lakes are right up the road. And there are few other lakes within 30 minutes. Sulfur springs is less than an hour south. I would pick Tecumseh Oklahoma over Los Angeles any day of the week. We can hit the lakes for summer time fun or the Metro for nightlife. We have a couple acres with a 2012 3 bedroom 2 bathroom mobile home. You can go to the grocery store or the gas station without running into any traffic jams and you can make it to work without any traffic jams. Los Angeles can take an hour just to travel a couple miles sometimes lol..not to mention I would have to pay thousands and thousands of dollars to live in a three bedroom home that is as nice as ours. We don't even pay $1,000 a month for our mortgage utilities and cable bill. You can't get that in the Big city's. The big cities are fun to visit but I would never live at any of em
My husband was born in Shawnee and grew up in Tecumseh. I love going to visit his family. Tecumseh is a wonderful little town with great people and in a great location.
Choctaw has an extra city tax, and is around 9% state over all has high taxes, then add on extra taxes.. Car & home insurance is also quite high plus a excise tax
Hi thank you so much for these property's listing details and in-depth info, I loved living there back in 2020-2021. my daughter-in-law and grandkids are there. I want to buy something soon I'm just really nervous about the tornadoes!?!?
I was originally looking to move to Altus, but after watching the weather, I think it will be a bit to warm for me in the summer. I now have my sight set on Woodward area.
I don’t hate Indians just most of my interactions with tribal members it always comes around to you owe me for what happened in the 1800s. I never “stole” anyone’s land and neither did my ancestors, we came over here from Russia in 1900. Thank you for your honest comment
I have no idea what is on a gravel road in Agra, but something isn't ok in that town. A black jetta was trying to hit us head on while looking at property! Nope..no Cushing/Agra for me.
Im in Norman also. Been here 1 year & im thinking it could be cheaper to buy then rent. I have never been a home owner before. Its just me, dog & cat. Dont need 3 beds.
Yep he is buried below the south patio of the Muesem. Gate to the crept is below and if you walk in the grass around the patio, you can see the iron gate and steps below.
Helen, go to city-data and look up statistics on Muskogee! I believe it has become a dangerous place to live. I found a beautiful house there about 6 years ago (I think) and then found out about the high crime.
Not if you are a Veteran. The only V.A. is OKC. One main hospital in the WHOLE STATE! OKLAHOMA IS SO CHEAP CAUSE THERES NOTHING THERE! ITS. Very poor state!!
I'd say Oklahoma city.. Norman or Tulsa. We have good people out here but every town has a few bad people too. My family is very diverse and we live everywhere from OKC Norman and Shawnee. Most people are cool to us.
Moved there and it is the worst place I have lived in my opinion. Every other house or building is either falling down or had a fire. The “downtown “ is dying and the people are unfriendly…gladly left there after 9 miserable months. Stay away from Muskogee!!!

Well, statistically you’re much more likely to be injured in a car accident than a tornado
Alva is due west of Wakita, the town of which was used in the movie Twister. Hey 11 going from Medford to Alva is a short drive.
Thanks for letting us know!

Well the weather is pretty much the same in Altus as it is in Woodward 🤷♀️
The first two houses you showed probably have real hardwood floors underneath the laminate.

If you want to bow down to Indians come to Oklahoma. I’ve lived her 66 years and I’m trying to figure a way out I can afford.
Thanks for watching.
As a Choctaw I have to admit my people are an embarrassment , not all of us but the vast majority are racist and entitled.
