Oh and as for what you should make next… I looooooved the Lavender, Rosemary and Spearmint soap you did forever ago and that would be such a beautiful sea salt soap 🖤
Hello Holly, This is a lovely video and thank you for sharing the recipe. Your soaps from the ingredients, scents up to the lather is a masterpiece. Love everything you do.
I enjoyed your sea salt soap yrs ago. Felt yummy and used it on my face, which it loved. I haven't seen them in the store yet, I look all the time. 😢 The paws would be great in your travel/weekend bag. 😊
Er muh gosh, Holly, those little salty paw soaps are the BEST! How freakin' CUTE are they?! So, I would love to see a lilac fragrance again. I have gotten supposedly Lilac fragranced soaps from other soap makers, but they just don't have a strong Lilac smell, but then I got one of your Lilac soaps and they were phenomenal! It was like I had just walked up to one of my Lilac bushes, in full bloom, and took a big breath in. Right away, I went to your shop to buy more of those bars from you, but they were already sold out. Bummer! So I am looking forward to you making more of those. Thanks for sharing your talents with us. Love your videos, and your products.
I’ve got to check these out. They’re lovely. I just purchased the blue mold from Amazon and waiting for it to arrive, for shave bars in a big mug with a shave brush, gifts for my grandsons. I can’t wait to try these spa soaps. I bet my granddaughters and daughter will love them. Thank you so much for the recipe. Pink sea salt is expensive so these will be so special!❤ l had no idea you were in KC MO. I was a KC kid. Now way down in the SE corner. 👋
That's fantastic! Thank you! Yes, we lived in Belton for 11 years and were in Overland Park, Kansas City, and Riverside before that. The last six years we were in Springfield, MO and now we've in in Montana for two years already!
I've never used a sea salt soap before. They look lovely tho! I love the molds you used and I'm sure it made them easier to unmold lol. I've seen some salt soaps just cling to the mold before. Bet that fragrance smells oh so good! Thanks Holly for sharing! ❤
I bet those smells so good Holly. I made salt soap in a fragrance called ocean breeze. It smells like a spa in my bathroom. I took half the batter and put pink clay in it and then swirled the uncolored and pink together. It came out cute. I love salt bars for the exfoliating because I like to tan in the summer. I used the same blue mold that you did. An excellent choice 😊
I have wanted to try a salt bar for a while, but at the same time scared too. Maybe one day I will have to bite it and buy one from you. Beautiful love the simplicity of them.
Good Morning Holly, hubby, kids, and dogs☕️. I was watching your other salt soap vids, do you add sodium lactate to your salt soaps too. I know it might seem like a silly question. I made a batch in individual molds they came out good, I did add lactate. Love the video, love the soaps they look like pumpkins. Have a blessed week and see you next time. Thanks again ❤ from one of your long time peeps.
Thank you so much! The house has been stalled for the last couple of months. There is a little work being done but mostly 'behind the scenes' type work.
Holly I love that paw molds. I have a big one I use for my dog shampoos and little ones like yours for sea salt samples, aren’t they the cutest thing? Smelling that eo combo, ❤️
Holly, I suggest a Lavender, rose and a slight bit of lemon citris. I'm sure your customer base is larger and much more varied than mine, but there is my suggestion. My husband who uses a lot of sea salt soap is listed below this comment! ❤❤❤
I love this puck size because, yes, I have super small hands, and the larger squares are hard for me to hold onto😅 We need Juicy back in the shop🥰 I think there's something spa-like having essential oil sea salt bars and yours are SO good!
Awe thanks so much Jessica! I think you'll like the round ones so much more! I would love to make Juicy again! The essential oils have been so costly though.
@moriversoap Oh, I know they have😭I make a blend I've used for years of ylang ylang, tangerine, and spearmint and buy the oils from Bulk Apothecary...I've been without for a few months now because I just couldn't justify the cost😬I'm grateful you used the grapefruit and orange🤗My alarms set!!!
Thank you! Well, typically, it's recommended that you use the FO or EO usage rate for the entire batch size, including the salt. I don't tend to really scent mine over what the oil batch size calls for. The fragrance sticks to the salt pretty well.
Super cute! Question: can you save a small portion of the coconut oil and add shortly after adding the lye to the rest of the oils to insure that the super fat is definitely the coconut oil?
This method you mentioned works with hot process soap, where you force a quick saponification by doing the mixing process with a heat source and then following up with the separated superfat, but with cold process soap, which relies on time to get the oils and lye fully made into soap, there's no way to guarantee that only the coconut oil wouldn't saponify while also getting the proper emulsion (which is necessary so the soap doesn't separate over the 24-48 hours that it takes for the saponification process, often a symptom of something similar called "false trace" where you didn't get everything emulsified).
Hello Holly I was wondering when will you be making your coffee soap, bars, and your coffee bath soap scrub? I’m wanting to know when you’ll be making them because I’m wanting to order some from you. Please let me know so that I can order some from you.
Thank you Leah! I don't have any coffee soap in the works currently but today I will be releasing a Huckleberry Coffee Scrub. It is still mostly coffee with some berry undertones. The release is the 22nd at 5pm Mountain!
I totally get that. If I have to choose between my regular soap and a salt soap, I will always choose my regular bar. But it does have it's place and the people that love them, love them so much! I do like them, but prefer my regular bars.
I don’t know about y’all, but the pop rocks like ASMR when you add the sea salt in is 🤌🏻 chef’s kiss! These turned out so beautifully my friend!
Oh and as for what you should make next… I looooooved the Lavender, Rosemary and Spearmint soap you did forever ago and that would be such a beautiful sea salt soap 🖤
That's awesome! Oooooh, that sounds great! Thank you for the idea!
Awww the paw soaps are delightful Holly so cute. It’s a great idea doing Salt Soaps individually they have a much nicer finish. Thank you. 😊
Thank you! Yes, you are so right.
The paw soaps are so stinking adorable.
They sure are!
Your sea salt bars are what helped heal my skin when I was having issues a few years ago!
That's fantastic! Thank you Brenda!
I’m not usually a noises person, but this soap is a feast for the ears.
I was noticing that too! So fun!
The little paws would be great travel bars
Oh for sure! It would be nice that they wouldn't get too slimy in a travel container.
Beautiful soaps. 🥰 I love using salt soap, its my favorite.
Thank you! They are great soaps!
I love how they even sound a bit crunchy when you pour them!
Isn't it fabulous?!
Another fantastic video, Holly. I just can’t say enough about your soaps. They are fantastic!!! Thank you for taking the time to film, edit and post.
Awe thank you so very much! That means a lot to me!
I keep checking your website, because I can’t keep track of the days. This one looks awesome! 💕
Thank you! The release is today at 5pm mountain!

Thank you so much Jayne!
Margarita lime was one of my fav sea salt soaps❤
Ooooh yes! It works great as a sea salt soap!
Salt bars are my favorite! This soap looks so good, and I love the little soap paws. So cute!
Thank you so much!

Yes! I love lilac!
Thank you so much Sam! I have lilac on my mind too. I will try to get some made again but will probably have to order more fragrance first.
Those soaps are gorgeous and you're right the little paws are so adorable.
They are! Thank you!
Hi Holly! I was thinking a sea salt set would be cute with the paws. That way people can try all the scents. Just a thought. - Diane

Thank you Annie! That is true, they do cling sometimes. You wouldn't think so but they do.

As for scents, Bite Me! That's one of my favorite fragrances for soap.
I have some on the curing rack!
Love this video Holly. I definitely need to try making some sea salt soaps. I've heard that they are amazing.
Thank you! Yes, you should definitely try them!
Great looking soaps
Thank you!

Thank you so much! Yes, I did use sodium lactate! I totally forgot to mention that. I don't use as much as I would in a regular batch though.
@@moriversoap ❤️🥂
I love the paws soaps! I have a bear print mold! ❤
A bear print?!?! I WANT ONE!
@@moriversoap It has 2 bear paw prints and a bear in the mold. I bought it on Amazon.
Hi Holly! These look fabulous, thank you for the recipe! How is your house coming along? Hope all is well.😊

I enjoy your videos 🎉🎉
Thank you!
Maybe you could do different scents with the paws for a little mini set, they would make a nice gift or treat for yourself.
That is a fantabulous idea!
Loved the video, thank-you! I may try making them. Do you prefer EO's over FO's in this bar?
Thank you! Let me know how it goes! I don't prefer EO's or FO's. It's just what I am inspired to make at the time. Love your biz name!
Love these I haven’t tried salt soap making before. Some say to put in a warm oven but notice you didn’t. Is that a thing?
I think that's probably to help them to gel. I have never used the oven.
They look beautiful. Is it possible to put regular soap in those round molds or will they not release ?
Thank you! Oh yes, regular soap would work too. I'd recommend sodium lactate and a forced gel though.
You could sell the paw print ones as travel sizes. 🥰
That would be so fun!
Very cute. How do I know how much fragrance or essential oils to add my soap batter ?
Thank you! Well, typically, it's recommended that you use the FO or EO usage rate for the entire batch size, including the salt. I don't tend to really scent mine over what the oil batch size calls for. The fragrance sticks to the salt pretty well.
Hey! Holly. Just a quick question. If everything was wrongly measured, would the soap bar not work at all then? Thanks as ever. ❤
I'd say that's pretty typical with any soap bar. It really would depend on what part was mismeasured.
Super cute! Question: can you save a small portion of the coconut oil and add shortly after adding the lye to the rest of the oils to insure that the super fat is definitely the coconut oil?

@@PixieLovesItAll thank you for a great detailed answer!!! ☺️

Could you replace the coco butter with Shea butter and it still be a good bar?
It sure would be!

Hey Holly, hope all is well on your end.
Thank you Tessie! It could be better!
I tried a salt soap once after hearing how great they are but I wasn’t a fan. I prefer normal CP soap.
I totally get that. If I have to choose between my regular soap and a salt soap, I will always choose my regular bar. But it does have it's place and the people that love them, love them so much! I do like them, but prefer my regular bars.
I have these molds and I got them off of Amazon
They are the best!
What about a watermelon lemonade scent?
She has a wonderful watermelon bar in her shop. I love it! So fresh!
Oooooh! I love that idea!
@asheburypress882 Thank you so much!
