He literally proved Lori right at the end straight away offering her the business 🤣
He's way too eager to get rid of his company. There's something really wrong with it that wasn't discovered yet.
After Lori tells him he didn’t watch over the business like his baby he tries to sell his baby 😂
😂😂😂😂
Just got word she didn't accept his baby dew to no milk production.
😂
That just tells u. He’s probably in a desperate position in his life and wants to make some money
😂
How tf do you collect royalty without knowing how much it's sold? Do they just trust the business to give him the right amount?
One of the worst pitches I’ve seen tbh
Not much man just taking a dump and watching some RUclips
The presentation itself was alright, the questions afterward killed the whole thing.
First time I’ve heard someone not know how much they’ve sold.
He knows, probably a bad number
guy just wants someone else to do the work and to collect a check lol
Isn't that the shark tanks definition?
That’s literally every investor on shark tank
😂😂😂
That's every deal Kevin does.
"it becomes your baby" - proved Lori's point.
The other sharks write down important info about the pitch and calculations, Barbara just writes all the reasons why she's already out
Nice loli pfp
1:50 notice how the guy isn’t holding the strap tight like the others, which is what contributed to them breaking
Tbf it would probably not break anyway
It would have made no difference.l
@@hollow_dbd I feel like it would have contributed to some damage on the strap at minimum
The camera definitely shows him creating tension for the cable rope and not creating any for his product.. not a fair test
@@barrymore87it definitely makes a difference but I agree it probably wouldn’t have broken anyways if it was tight.
"Lockstrap" sounds like the name of a company in Grand Theft Auto.
opening test reminds me of Napoleon Dynamite
"Lance you look like a strong young pup why don't you go ahead and give that a tear" 😂😂😂
I knew this was a failure when he showed up wearing sandals with socks. LOL
😂😂😂
Hilarious, that way first thought then I thought they might be wild pattern shoes so I gave him a chance.
true historical fact:
Roman invented sandals and ruled the world, then were defeated when socks were invented (and german tourist invaded).
It's actually comfortable and stylist
@@Paulo_Dirac 😂
Mr. Wonderful with the 🐶 at the end killed me 😂
I cackled 🤣🤣
I just heard someone saying;
Nothing on one,
Nothing on two,
Three is binding...
Elite LPL reference
Why was China able to redesign the strap? He must have allowed it. I know where I worked in manufacturing, we couldn't even change to a particular machine or new method without going thru protocol hoops & permissions from the customer even if the end game was the exact same.
Why probably the specification was incomplete and the Chinese factory took advantage from that.
I work in publishing books and board games and I believe him on that part, factories in china will regularly decide to interpret a design in ways you didn’t expect forcing you to constantly have to ask for samples. Even then I already had orders where the sample was fine but once the finished product landed in the container it was suddenly not fine what so ever.
Poor guy, he's an inventor and engineer not a business guy. It's the slick talking "business guy" who is more likely to get the deal.
Then he needs to find the "business guy" to partner with. Entrepreneurship is a team sport
@@dontbedummy8101 Less important than you think. Many companies like Dropbox, Appdynamics and others have succeeded with a technical founder who had to learn business on the job. It's easier to teach a great engineer to lead than it is to teach a great leader the value of engineering.
@@dontbedummy8101 lmao he came to the sharks for just that tho
Well the business guys are the people who know the money. Of course they’re going get the deals better than an engineer or inventor
The carabiner itself is the weak point. I would never trust this thing to lock up my bike.
In the beginning I was hoping they show a grinder against it. Bike thieves always carry those because they know how the lock industry is always upping their game.
Lol did he just put his baby up for adoption?
I wish. He tried to SELL IT!
@@flywithazizthat’s really what many adoption are honestly 🤷♂️
@@ethanporto1745 adoption is giving it away for free
Yikes, poor presentation..
You can cut cloth, and you can cut steel cable, but you can't cut steel cable in cloth? Give me a break.
Well, was he able to cut it?
@@marianoguy Test was unfair, the owner held the strap in a different way tha the others. A tru tes would be to have all three locked into a vice/machin to make sure they are all held the same.
Scissors + small wire cutter😂
@@marianoguy its because he had tension on the first two and was pulling it while it was being cut, he gave slack to the others hence the reason he wasn't able to get a full grip on it.
You know that you are primed to witness greatness when Kevin is on the panel and the entrepreneur isn’t answering questions directly.
All the reasons that people don’t like Kevin, are all the reasons why I love him. “Why can’t we just tell the truth…arf arf.”
What does he mean by that?
@ Often times, when someone has a bad business idea or bad execution, Kevin will say the idea needs to be taken behind the barn and shot, which is a reference to the classic story Old Yeller. The “arf arf” comment was implying this idea.
That lock strap cut demo can be easily faked. The lock strap wasn't pulled taut for cutting like the cable and the chain.
I came here for this.
Now, I can die in peace.
Thank you, internet.
The strap got bend when he cut the straps
@@vishalcoder130 that's kinda my point. The cable and chain were pulled taught and didn't have a chance to get bend. The lock strap bent and wasn't allowed to get cut.
*taut
@DrB81 thanks, correction made.
Good evening from Paris - Shark Tank is my dinner program and I'm having a cheese sandwich tonight!
Paris is a cesspool… the whole world saw that with the Olympics
@@LG215xand where do you live buddy?
Just cheese? Come one man 🤣
@@crackboulder4159 Maybe he grilled it?
ew
He got a global licensing deal, he's enjoying the royalty income now while it's being sold on amazon and their website.
He was putting strain on the other two chains.. lockstrap he put no tention at all
Kevin is hilarious dude 8:05 😂
Gotta agree with barb on this one
I’ll be a customer. My supervisor cuts our locks at my job when someone needs a dolly
"Get my company back up on my feet" 💀😂
Arrf, arrf. Best comment by Mr. Wonderful ever. 😂😂😂
So if it's a combination of cloth and steel, then the thief has to cut away the cloth first with a pair of scissors and can then cut away the steel.
Love Kevin... he is himself.. no pretending no bs..
I love how bored Kevin is at 2:14 but he's still asking for a sample.
Bro I was halfway thru the video when I realized there's a whole F-150 in that studio.
Having a major product recall probably isn't the best thing for a pitch
Did he not come in with any preparation?
2 cheese pizza slices and a coke today
Chicken wrap and smart water for me today😂😂
rice beans and two pork chops
Your mom and a coke
Chicken salad sandwich
Home Depot was a bad move. This cloth strap hanging next to steel bike locks will never sell. People need to see the demonstration he did for the sharks. He should do direct to consumer from his own website and advertise on social media with a demonstration video. Thing could fly off the shelf. That is...until people find something that CAN cut through it
It can be cut, its because he had no tension like the first 2 which makes it easier.
Battery powered angle grinder has entered the tank.
“Mark is sitting in Robert’s chair so i’m out”
- Barbara
Yeah he just didn't care enough.
This was painful to watch... 😭😭😭
We really are short on anti-theft devices! Thank goodness he came up with another one! (sarcasm)
Bro was shaking on his way out
Couldn’t watch with Mark sitting in Robert’s seat…
8:12-8:13 just loop it all day long to be happy
He was trying to blame the mess up.
6:33 Barbara has a PHD in finding reasons to be out
Lol
Who would do business with A Rod. Untrustworthy and selfish.
angle grinder or bolt cutter, job done under 5s
I wonder how the bold cutters would do on the carabiner piece?
"Or maybe you're into the water sports kinda thing" 💀
Stop saying first and second 💀
First and second
first and second
First and second
FIRST AND SECOND
And third
Dude came trying to sell his company after another company fail to run it for him lol
So just cut the cloth with scissors or a blade first, then use the bolt cutter to cut through the steel?
This is cringe. He came in super confident. He was even being silly with ARod during the presentation. And then the story unfolds. I hope he gets back up!
How did we know Barbara was out even before a single word was spoken
Man said a rod your pretty strong lmfao
cordless angle grinder 10 seconds.......instantly cut
For those who say the test was unfair watch the video again
Just cut the locking carabiner.
Hopefully someone didn't sabotage the design, to sell a knock off for less
or even worse, if someone got paid off to sabotage the design because a competitor paid them to ensure it would fail (this DOES happen).
I'm not saying that this is what happened or that I think this happened.
Bad product. Bad presentation. Bad entrepreneur.
If your product is being made somewhere, you would take so many samples that you ensure it is done perfectly. You don't make 1.5million worth of defective products. Accidents happen. But, that at this stage at this scale is unacceptable.
He tried to sell sh**, how did he not know he'd get exposed 😂
this guy just wants money so he can sit back and relax at a resort at the bahamas lol he might be an inventor but not business man.
He sold the company to Home Depot for 15.2 million
Looks like he pulled himself up. Four million in annual sales and securing a private label deal with Schwinn in 2022.
Hey Arod a PhD >> Masters.
Smiling while he walks into the Shark Tank and left with a frown. haha. What a tool.
Bro sure is a tool
Supposedly doing $4 million in annual sales now.
Nicer
The factory in China screwed him big time
Its a good product.
Msybe he can sell the patent.
I wish him the very nest
Bro missed a golden opportunity to say " Lori, I would love to have a baby with you..."
You can’t cut this… “can i pull the strap right out of the buckle?” Oh sure.. you can do that…
Good product but bad presentation, this product will be massive sold but he is not born to be enterprenuer.
4 million in sales
That was THE worst Shark Tank presentation of All-Time!
still 4 million i sales the product is great
Since anytime!?
must not have sold well, even the ones with the defective strap buckle in question.
This might be worst than the one guy that tried to put some robot in someone brain.
Hello 😊
Good morning 🌞🌄
Happy lunch
Cordless grinder. DONE
Go be somebody 😂
Somebody be go
Wow, don’t recall seeing Woke Cuban on the far right end.
Enjoy lunch everyone, today's Rice with Sambal Prawn and chicken
He's sold
What’s everyone eating
Terrible.
4:20
This torpedoed fast.
burb some inches of the cloth and then use the cutter???
This guy must have an absolute trash work ethic to give up on his invention like that.
I have a few lockstraps. They work well
Grinder
Seemed loke a good product.Too bad the person pitching it was absolutely horrible.
The size of that wire can be cut thru easy. I’d have that thing off in 30 seconds flat
