- On Monday, March 5th, University of Toronto Professor Jordan Peterson visited Queen's University as part of the Liberty Lecture Series. Roughly 150 protested the event. We sent our video team to see what happened outside Grant Hall.
I challenge these students to quote a single racist statement Jordan Peterson has ever made.
How can you say that. He is white, and he thinks logically. He must be racist...
"the marxist lie of white privilege" he's definitely not pro non white dudes... the whole concern is that he uses dog whistle rhetoric to pander to a predominantly white male group that houses some anti Semitic, anti minority sentiments... views that most students at that university disagree with... or they're all TRIGGERED whatever rationalizes it for you...

Three years later, I finally just saw Dr. Peterson speak in person and it was amazing. Thank you to the lunatic protesters for showing me how far gone the left is and for introducing me to Dr. Peterson's work

The irony is Jordan Peterson with his decades of experience in psychology and talking to patients of all types has probably got far more compassion in his little finger for all the minority groups than any of those morons proclaim to have. But its all part of the selfish narcissism of the clueless youth. Guess the majority of them will grow up in time and look back in horror.
Yeah ikr. There are thousands of people and even hundreds of trans people who wrote letters to JP saying how JP has saved their lives. And these dumb most privileged in the world college kid are saying a professor who has treated people for anxiety depression assertive training for 30 years is dumb.

Watching this unbelievably misinformed protest makes me ashamed of what is happening to my Alma mater. Watch the actual event, where you will see the very disrespectful behavior of these protestors demonstrated during what was a very reasonable event on Dr. Peterson's part. Students, an important lesson here -use your noggin! be properly informed from reliable sources before you jump on the protest bandwagon.

As a Female Hispanic parent of 3 son's I appreciate all the great information you have given me to help my son's be better adults. You are amazing and i appreciate the wisdom you give us. These protestors need to open their eyes to the knowledge you wholeheartedly give us for the better.

If you don't like what someone has to say, its still good to listen and then get a larger grasp on the thoughts of others. That's a way to learn about the world as a whole, by learning from the individuals you meet and putting the pieces together for yourself. (Who knows, you may learn something useful that you didn't know before.) Also, if you show that you can listen, then others are more likely to listen to you. You can learn to discuss and throw out the not useful as you go. The thing is, how do you know what is useful or not if you don't look at it? Its called "learning to think" rather than merely "reacting".

If I was a student at Queen’s University I would sue them to smithereens for not stopping these obnoxious agitators from interfering with part of my education to reasonably participate in a lecture even if I don’t agree with everything that lecturer has to say. (I DO agree with Dr. Peterson but that’s irrelevant to my point.)
Universities once were a bastion for freedom of speech including tolerance for speech that not everyone agrees with. This is a very dangerous precedent...Who decides what constitutes HATE speech? And what kind of government mandates COERCED speech?

I don't get how compelled speech translates to dehumanization. He's not arguing that they shouldn't be called by their pronoun, he is arguing that it should not be a crime if you accidentally mis-gender someone, but this "Ben Affleck" response seems to be pretty common on the left and the right about a number of topics.
People hear what they want to hear, to make it easier... they know what he is saying but are making an example of him for what he may represent to people who actually are saying the things they are against.
I think if I never hear the word 'discussion' again used in a sentence like "I think it's ah time we ah had a discussion" I'll be quite, quite pleased indeed.

You don't like when people ignore what you have to say and yet do the exact same thing to people who don't follow their narratives.
