There aren't enough superlatives to do justice to Sam's versatility as an actor OR sufficiently convey just how much I appreciate and celebrate every endearing quality that this man possesses! We're SO blessed with this cast, and I, for one, love them all dearly!
Actors sometimes say they don’t like watching themselves acting. I wonder how he felt watching himself,and with so many people there. The good thing is that he saw first hand that fans are loving his work.
Wow, Sam basically ran off the stage! I'm not surprised though. I can imagine how stressful it must be for someone as shy and reserved (self-description) as Sam, to have to sit there while a whole room of people judge his acting/singing skills. Plus, Sam said at the last SDCC panel he was so anxious it "felt like the world was ending." Poor guy! He had Jacob last time to help him through it, hopefully this time he had other people around to be there for him. There's so much weight on his shoulders right now.

I love a lot of things about this production in general (the cast, the writing, the acting, the music, set and costume design, how you can SEE they really love the source material AND their jobs, so they do their best to give the audience a good final product, etc.) but I think my favorite part is seeing how... different Sam is from Lestat. You see him laughing, kind of shy (I mean, I guess there's excitement there, too?) because he KNOWS what's coming, but it's like he's not able to handle all the lights on him, and then in the end he's the first one to get up and (maybe I'm wrong, maybe it's the sudden change of lighting) he looks RED... But then you see Lestat (especially on that clip) and you're like: "who are you and what did you do to Sam Reid?" and honestly...? That's amazing. Superb acting, right there.

It actually broke my heart knowing that Sam had trouble sleeping for 6 months from reading negative comments. I would like him to focus on the praises his fan sang because he truly embodies, he is Lestat. We acknowledge your hard work, your dedication in bringing Lestat to life, Sam. We see you and we truly appreciate you!
