so many spoilers... i love how sam is so invested in the character that he wants to delve into all of lestat's lore. personally, i can't wait for more lestat and armand because that relationship is so fascinating. props to you for not losing your chill, because i would have folded like origami.
Sam put it so well - the show is different, Lestat is different, but it's all to make the story work through a modern lens. The added complexity has been absolutely beautiful.

Longtime enthusiast of Anne Rice’s world. The tragedy of Lestat, for me, is his absolute love of Louie’s human nature: Louis possesses this very human drive towards self-destruction. Lestat loves his frailty, his audacity to chase death, his love for his family - all these things that make him human - yet, when Vampire Louis still struggles with these very human impulses, it is these impulses that enrage Lestat the most. When he’s strutting around town with Louis the fledgling, talking about how humans are just food now, I said out loud at the TV, “Lestat, you’re so full of shit!” 😂
The twist is, when Lestat finally gets a chance to once again experience human life, which he longs for (as any bout with pneumonia would), he puts a fine point on it that, “Yeah, no. EFF this; it’s a vampire’s life for me!” Anne Rice’s development of Lestat throughout the Chronicles is a journey I visit often. ❤
Holy crap! This was even better than the original interview!! It's so lovely to watch, especially Sam getting all excited to geek out with a fellow fan over Prince Lestat era canon. It was obvious how much enjoyed this interview ❤️😍

Aagghh I knew they were deleting the tears! Lol. I wish they'd left more of the tears in, cuz there were moments where I could tell they were crying their hearts out and there were zero tears on their faces. Like maybe not all of them, but like...a few more?

I loooove the conversation about Lesmand!! It's hands down my favourite dynamic from the books.. and i can't wait to see their mercurial relationship portrayed on screen next season..
And I especially loved Sam talking about Marius' hypocrisy and disregard for Armand.. Armand desperately wanted someone to save him from the cult and Marius deemed him lost, but as we can see with Lestat coming in, Armand wasn't too far gone.. All that time he was alive and out there and guiding his new prodigy while Armand rotted underground. That for me is the truly unforgivable thing Marius has done.. And i hope we'll see the Lestat-Marius-Armand dynamic play out fully.
I'm going to sing, " A Single Vamp Tear" at the top of my lungs until Season 3 is released. ^_^

I have to say Autumn, I really admire you SOOO much, so so much, for putting yourself out there, not just as smart and charismatic as Autumn the interviewer is, but also as a fan and not being afraid to embarrass yourself for the beauty of chatting with these art-makers and famous people. It really is something to look up to for me because as an introvert who cannot for the life of me talk to important people, my crush, and constantly feel inferior-not fun enough lol, its hard! You did so good. Plus Sam, as kind as he is, still feels a bit intimidating at first sight (beauty, structure, aura, and all divine things combined, god...) so you really made this your way and I loved it.

I thought I was by myself in believing Lestat didn't think about saving Claudia. He looked at her as a fledgling, praising her strength. He thought she would figure it out somehow. She didn't need to be his fledgling in that moment, but his daughter. Then he would understand how Louis' mom changed drastically after Paul's death. No parent wants to outlive their child. They're fine with death if it meant their child was safe. Louis did.

I think, unfortunately it will be impossible because according to the writers' social media they're just finishing the script. And I guess since they also do a lot of post-production for vfx and stuff, to shoot and edit it would take a while :(

@Nicki_is_here-j2g Where did you see they were finished? I only see the pic noting they had beds for writers indicating they were closing in on the deadline, but nothing indicating they'd finished. Even still, they haven't started shooting and thus, editing, and I'd wager since this is TVL there will be a LOT of vfx for Lestat's many, many tears😅 I'm still thinking 2026 but who knows, maybe they'll crunch and push it to December 31st, 2025👀
I love the fact that he's anticipating seeing how they'll dig into the Marius angle of Lestat and Armand, not only further exploring Lestat and Armand by themselves, because _HONESTLY_ ssaaammmeee!!!!!!!! 😊😏🤭🤭😁💖💖💖

The stuff about the blood tears was so interesting! I didn’t really like the effect because it irritated me that the tears didn’t leave trails and I didn’t get why they mixed practical and digital effects for the tears (or it looks like practical effects when Louis and Claudia were crying) but I like that they used Sam’s actual tear. And I get obviously that it wouldn’t have the same effect if it was more than just one tear but saying that Lestat cried too much is the funniest thing ever
