Why was he on the computer anyways if his plan turned out to be to blackmail Batman into bringing him Wayne. You'd think he'd just kill Lucius and continue with whatever plan he had before with the computer.
@@foeinform I think this was in the old game files correct me if I’m wrong but I know there was a rumor that Hush was supposed to be the main antagonist in the story alongside Scarecrow but was cut
@@CheeF_Phetty Hush's plan makes no sense, because it looks like he is taking Bruce Wayne's money from his account. How would Batman even be aware of this if he was not Bruce Wayne. Also, Batman has a lot more problems than monetary theft during Arkham Knight.
DUDE the fragile alliance side mission is one of my favorites in the whole series because the dialogue is so hilarious to me. "I knew i couldn't trust you Bane, so i used you instead!" "NO!"
@@Smiley0.1 "Did you destroy your half?" "In a manner of speaking, yes!" *Opens gate to reveal that he has not in any manner of speaking destroyed his barrels*
I like this mission though, but mainly for its glitch lol after blowing up those titan containers that Bane collected the first time, you can keep coming back to blow them up and still keep getting XP points. It’s very easy to level up this way, so I always try to complete this mission right away.
Kind of hard to focus on one specific part of the face if, you know, the person who has that part of the face is moving fast, kicking all kinds of ass, and a LOT harder if the ass he’s kicking is yours.
The only reason why Arkham Knight has frustrating sidemissions is the lack of Boss Battles. Rocksteady had so many great chances of making incredible Boss Fights: Deathstroke, Man-Bat, Jason Todd, Scarecrow, Two-Face, Azrael (Imagine a Boss Battle against Batman as Azrael where you are scripted to lose. It would be amazing!) Nonetheless, Batman Arkham Knight is still an incredible game and will always be my favorite game on the Arkham franchise.
I wish hush appeared after you reveal yourself to be bruce wayne and he would start killing people in a batman suit to ruin his reputation and you have to track him down. Thaf would be an amazjng sifequesty
@@foeinformanyone who has ninja-level combat skills & similar physique can easily attempt to impersonate Batman, such as Ra’s, Slade, or a male member of the Bat-Family(Jason). Thomas Elliot impersonating Bruce Wayne is a logical/interesting concept, since it falls within his area of expertise; he’s a surgeon. The problem was the execution.
The worst part about the hush side quest is that it’s too quick. I’m not saying that hush had to be the main villain of the game or anything, but here’s how they could’ve extended his side quest a little: 1. Batman comes across a crime scene where a Wayne employee has been shot and had their body crucified to a Wayne Enterprises billboard. The blood analysis shows that he’s been dead for about 6 hours so he must’ve been killed during the evacuation. His ID card has been stolen and upon checking the fingerprints the killer is revealed to be Bruce Wayne. Which of course means Hush is behind this. Bruce and Alfred begin to frise on why Elliot would target a Wayne Employee with Batman theorizing that perhaps hush is trying to frame him for murder with the motivation being that Thomas Wayne failed to save Elliott’s father’s life years ago. 2. You find a second body once more crucified to a Wayne enterprises billboard. After analyzing the crime, you once more to do that hush was behind it, but this victim was an employee of the penguin specialized in the selling and transport of explosives. Batman and Alfred aren’t sure what Hush has planned, but it can’t be good. 3. After defeating Harley in the film Studios, if you have completed the other 2 objectives, you get the call from Alfred that he hasn’t been able to reach Lucius in a while. This gives you the option to pursue the side quest or focus on the main story. 4. When you reach Wayne Tower, you see the entire building has gone into lockdown and upon glancing at the building with detective vision on you see that 1000 pounds worth of explosives have been set across the building. As you approach the building, you can hear Elliot communicating with a bunch of rioters he’s hired as his henchman. Them to stay alert for the off chance Batman might show up. The writers are confident that with everything going on Batman wouldn’t have time to deal with this, but Hush doesn’t want to take that chance. 5. You now have two objectives: scaled the building to disable three bomb control panels and take down all of the henchman. You can take advantage of the gargoyles along Wayne Tower to do this. You can tackle this in whatever order you choose. 6. Once the Tower’s exterior has been cleared. Batman makes his way to the underground parking garage after blasting a hole through the barricade. Batman gets into the elevator leading to the scene where we play as Hush as we walk past the front desk, assault Mr. Fox, and begin stealing Wayne funds. 7. Batman watches all of us on recording when suddenly the elevator, halfway up the tower, powers down. Hush congratulate us on making it this far, But states that if we get any closer, he’ll detonate the bombs early and bring the entire tower down (clearly with all the henchman knocked out. Hush hasn’t been informed the bombs have been disabled.) Here you have to platform your way up the rest of the building by scaling ledges, and taking advantage of grapple points. They would even be a couple entrances designed only for Batman and his allies to get through. 8. You finally make it all the way to the CEO office where Hush has Lucius at gunpoint. Hush is clearly frustrated that Batman has made it this far, but decides to capitalize on the situation. He tries to bribe Batman, offering a cut of Wayne’s fortune if the Batman bring Bruce to him. Batman questions why hush hates Bruce, which is why it’s revealed hush tried to have his wealthy parents killed so he couldn’t hear it their fortune, but Thomas Wayne managed to save his mother. From here, we all know how it ends: Batman blows Hush’s mind by unmasking himself and then you have to do a quick time event to save Lucius. 9. Epilogue: This side quest actually isn’t over until you’ve beaten the main story. Following Batman’s unmasking you drive back to Wayne Tower to collect hush and bring him to the proper authorities. On the drive back Hush for being a spoiled child masquerading as a self-righteous crusader; Hush screams that Bruce does not deserve the life he has. Batman Simply respond by stating if Elliott really wants to be Bruce Wayne, he can. But Batman remind him that now that Bruce & Batman are none to be one and the same, he’ll be in for a bad time when they get to GCPD. Hush becomes deafly silent. Sorry for the mountain of text, but I want to give you a good idea of what this side quest would’ve been if I was to rewrite it.
That’s a really big improvement from what we got! Sounds really good and it’s a shame we didn’t get anything like it 😅 would have made him a lot more of a threat
Imo the crucified bodies are a bit cheesy. Imagine Hush getting on a ladder and nailing them to the billboard. I think it’s goofy. I think the bodies should’ve been in an ally like in City. Other than that, great idea and the epilogue idea is like a no brainer; I don’t know why they didn’t do that.
What’s irritating the most is how much effort they put into riddler in Arkham Knight with the endless challenges and Unironically the best boss fight in the game whereas the main villain gets taken down through a cutscene and one of the greatest assassins fight in a reused tank then knocked out with one punch as if he was just another common criminal on the streets.
Rocksteady while in the beginning stages of game development, wanted the game to be able to be completed with those uninterested/unfamiliar in Batman-franchise media, so it makes sense that they would stick to the basics. Also, the developers did intend to use other Batman characters but ultimately decided it would not fit within the story. Their agenda was just different for the first game as far as I know
After all those years of planning, murder, and sewing dead skin onto his face, Hush just used the disguise to get past the receptionist. That cracked me up
For City I gotta disagree, I think the political prisoners is the worst side mission, it's repetitive as hell and has no sort of reward for completing it
The main issue with the Hush mission is it feels like you're only playing the start and end of a mission. Why couldn't we have climbed the interior of Wayne Tower with the challenge of not being allowed to be seen by security systems so we can sneak up to Hush on the top floor. Hush could be using his identity to tell Wayne Tech staff to stop Batman. But if you play the mission post game, the dialogue of the staff changes so they're unsure if they should be doing this.
Arkham city has the freeze cluster grenade. This is for sure the worst since: 1)You barely remember it and that it was a side mission 2)theres literally only 1 line of monologue in the game for it 3)Its the worst/most useless equipment that batman gets
Yeah, outside of my NG+ run (which was super helpful at times), I only use it to get the Riddler challenge and to make taking out the first stun stick users a bit easier.
@kaifchoudhary2448 i havent had any reason to use it other that the challenge maps challenge. By the time you use it you could have changed positioning and take out a thug(silent, window/wallsmash,l edge...).
People always say Bane was dumb for charging at Batman straight into a prison cell, like a bull that's thinking only of how much he wants to destroy a red flag. But honestly, I think he was dumb for the fake teamup to begin with. I mean, if he wanted all the Titan for himself, and wanted to trick Batman into helping him, why would he ask Batman to destroy them? Why not ask him to bring them to him? Like, I'm sure that'd sound more suspicious, but he could make up something about needing a proper way to dispose of them. Or better yet, don't ask for Batman's help at all. He knows where all 12 containers are, and none of the 6 he assigned to Batman seemed like they'd be a particular challenge for Bane. And then he'd get to have all 12 containers, not just half. Lastly, why would he even show Batman where the 6 he collected were and reveal he tricked Batman? He could've just said he threw them into the ocean, and Batman would just have to take his word for it. Then, even if he locks you up for some reason, he won't get to destroy the last 6. His whole plan seems like nonsense, and it's disappointing for a villain that's known for his intelligence.
The worst Arkham Origins zide mission is the blackgate prisoners one, after all that work on completing each mission and the last one is finding random prisoners and interrogating them then calling Gordon
Arkham Asylum: Riddler Trophies Arkham City: Riddler Trophies Arkham Origins: Riddler Trophies Arkham Knight: It would be the Batmobile drone fights, but guess what? Riddler Trophies make you have to replay Batmobile quests if you didn’t get them the first time. So it’s Riddler Trophies again.
Personally I didn’t like how the hush mission ended in Arkham city. Hush just walks out the door and Batman is just like “eeehh whatever. I’ll look for him tomorrow”.
Also I find it bad writing when Batman just casually says “he’s gone, he’s left Arkham city”. Like how? Bruce had to get himself arrested just so he could infiltrate Arkham city, how the hell did hush escape?
Honestly if Hush and Azrael had better roles, it would have added a lot more depth in arkham knight. Scarecrow attacking the bat, hush attacking Bruce, and Azrael trying to basically just make him retire. It would have been a three way battle
For the city one, bane was pumped full of Titan in asylum after his blood was being drained. Thus giving him a short power boost. In city bane either doesn’t use Titan in his equipment or he’s gotten used to it
This is a copout bro come on. Even if this theory had any merit about Bane being stronger in Asylum, a more accurate Bane would’ve sat there smashing his fists to a pulp breaking out of that (what is essentially a closet” he gets locked in, not submit.
I love the AR missions in City. Like the Riddler trophies of that game are focused on Batman's tools and tricks, they force you to get familar, and then good, at maneuvering Batman's glide in delicate ways. There really isn't a lot about City and Origins I didn't like or won't defend.
1.Riddler trophies 2.Riddler trophies 3. Riddler Trophies 4.Firef...No it's Riddler Trophies It's just ridiculous that all of his quests made to annoy you and waste your time
In Arkham Knight most of the side missions are disappointing because since this is canonically the last time you fight some of Batman’s most iconic Rogues (Penguin and Two-Face in particular), and the way you defeat them feels so pedestrian. Penguin is taken out after defeating him at one of his weapon depots, just like the rest of the depots you took out that night. Two-Face is defeated during a bank robbery, just like the previous other two his gang was committing. And Hush is so disappointing as that was a really cool side mission in City, only for him to be taken out in one cutscene. And Deathstroke: from best boss battle in Orgins to being taken out in a cutscene. HOWEVER I did think one of the best in Knight was the Nora Fries one, as that ending had me emotional and I feel it was the perfect end for Victor and Nora: “I don’t want you to die, Nora.” “Then let me live”.
I know you can't prioritize *all* villains to the same degree, but something that I think would've really helped with this? The obvious - cut back on the Joker. In 'Origins', make "Black Mask" actually Black Mask. Make the Riddler the overarching mastermind with little indicators that either one of the Riddler's "henchmen" or a rogue agent/one of the assassins seems a bit more unhinged than everyone else... Then, have either a part of the main story or a side mission involving Batman "chasing down the Red Hood." Then, work in a clue (or outright reveal) of the Joker. 'Asylum' does the rest to let you know what's been happening in the years between the two. The Penguin at least is a part of the main story in 'Origins', 'City' and 'Knight' (and right where I think he belongs, as a side-hustle) but Two-Face is almost entirely absent from 'Origins' and 'Asylum', he's the first idiot you take down in 'City' (and then again as Catwoman) and is a tack-on in 'Knight'. He gets it the worst. Freeze at least is the main DLC for 'Origins', has a very memorable role in 'City' and has a good side mission in 'Knight'. He probably should've been used more, but I get it. Bane was *really* saved by being so integral to 'Origins'. That game - as much as I dislike the look of the city/textures in the free-roam aspects - does some serious heavy lifting for the story and characters. That's by far my favorite version and voice-work for Batman, too. The buildings just look so *empty* compared to even the same areas in 'City'... and the new areas across the bridge are even worse. They're basically just colored walls that you have to mount and jump from.
@@christianc.christian5025Again with cutting Joker out of Origins, hello, Batman: Arkham ORIGINS, now I agree that Black Mask should have been Roman, but the game still needs to show Batman's first encounter with Joker
@@foeinform I didn't mind Campaign, Own the Roads or Occupy Gotham at all. They could be done all at once or individually to clear them as you go. And like you mentioned, with them being more add-on to the main story (and you even interact with the secondary villain during a lot of them) it's easier for me to just see them as an optional part of the overall "goal" of beating Scarecrow and the militia. The one thing about the militia's tanks which I wasn't crazy about was how the order of the mines and Freeze's side mission really make it seem like they're still functional and active if you tackle them after completing the main story.
ALL of Knight's side missions were poor, not because of quality, but repetition. Did we need 20 firefighter rescues? Identical repetition of the same mission multiple times with no changes?
This right here. Even the Professor Pyg mission is just the exact same thing over and over, with only item placement in the bodies changing. And the amount of Riddler collectibles is absolutely ridiculous. They pumped the game full of content, but it's really mostly padding. It's like a hamburger with 50 buns and just one patty. Sure, it looks big, but...
I didn’t hate this cause I just did it with the story. Like as I progressed more ppl would pop up on the islands as they became available. So I would never move on from an island until I completely 100% the island or went as far as the story could allow me. Since asylum the worst Batman side mission has always been anything riddler for me. It’s just so tedious.
@@Dreadjaws Did you play arkham city? It has 400+ riddler trophies. The only reason you feel like it’s alot is because the map is larger but in reality it doesn’t have too much
@@Wizofmincraft Yeah, but in City they're much quicker to get. Even the most time-consuming ones will only require a few seconds. The ones in Knight can take several minutes. Plus, it's not just trophies. There are riddles, challenges, races and all that crap.
Arkham City: Victor Zsasz phone quest. Takes way too long to do, very annoying and kinda pointless. Did Batman really need to trace every phone just to figure out Zsasz’s location was in a random building? Arkham Origins: I agree it is Penguin’s arms cache. I hate how it requires the disruptor to fry their circuits because there may be a moment you don’t have any to use so you have to wait to use it. Arkham Knight: Deacon Blackfire quest. This felt very last minute, and comes out of nowhere. Deacon wasn’t present in any other Arkham game and had no lead up, there was no point of it.
Back when it was online, doing the penguins guns side mission in origins would unlock either items or xp bonuses for the games multiplayer mode, I don’t actually remember specifically what it was however it’s been over 10 years
This would be my list. Arkham Asylum: Riddler (Cause it's only one) Arkham City: Deadshot (Dude is supposed to be second deadliest assassin but he goes down in one it doesn't even get a boss fight.) Arkham Origins:Escaped Blackgate Inmates (Because it's one I tend to forget about because it turns on so late in game.) Arkham Knight:Road Bombs and tank battles (Too many and depending on practice and player it can be annoying.) Side Notes: I think it was shame we didn't get have another side mission with Zsasz and that we NEVER got to see and have boss fight against Prometheus was shown in Arkham Asylum and City from what heard Prometheus was supposed to finally appear in Season Of Infamy dlc but he was cut from it. (Dude is shadow of Batman Prometheus's parents were criminals that were gunned down by cops right in front of when he was only a kid.)
I think that's a good list too, I did enjoy most of the deadshot mission but just the boss fight part was pretty bad Zsasz would have been really good to see it's a shame because he definitely was meant to appear but got cut as there is audio lines in the files of him speaking after being defeated so he definitely had involvement at some point during development with Prometheus I was really disappointed cause he was referenced in an easter egg in Arkham Asylum so I presumed he would show up at some point so it's a shame he isn't there but maybe we will see him in a future rocksteady game
I forgot one, it's not too bad but I think it should be mentioned. The Deacon Blackfire side mission in Arkham Knight, unless you've been paying attention to Jack Ryder you're not going to get this mission until someone else in the GCPD mentions that he took off so it might come right out of nowhere. This mission could have been better if they had tied it into the stuff with Azrael, make Blackfire a member of the order (or former member) that Azrael works for and have the confrontation with the Deacon be the part where Azrael makes the decision to either join Batman or try to kill him. Depending on your choice it could result in a boss fight.
In Arkham Knight, it’s the Firefly chasing missions for me. You can easily lose sight of him and if he gets away you’re forced to wait an arbitrary length of time before you try again. Very annoying.
It's mad that I'd still rather do all of these side missions than ones where I drive around bee drones or get a tease for a villain DLC that wont come out
@@foeinform It's looks like a region thing probably but I think it's interesting. Joker was using the Titan in the previous game and it was Joker's henchman that were guarding the tanks around Arkham so they make the most sense, but then nothing goes on in Arkham City that Hugo strange doesn't know about so maybe someone had the idea of having Hugo be interested in obtaining the Titan for his own agenda. Imagine this side mission became just a little bit better if it had become a race. Maybe after 2 or 3 containers destroyed Alfred picks up reports of Joker's men dead near Titan tanks and no evidence of Penguin or Two Faces men. It's discovered that Hugo has sent out men to eliminate the Joker forces and takes the Titan it could even be a race to perhaps prevent more men from dying and catch up to Hugo's men before they kill more men maybe some Titans themselves? I'm just thinking out loud but the mission is what it is.
I hate Barbara in origins. She feels like a fan fiction writers self insert. And all her “hacking knowledge” makes her feel like that one girl from the newest black panther movie
@mgasukihanwa841 definitely not bad i was just butthurt how it was marketing that Deathstroke was a big part of it then is gone after an early boss fight
@@TKize777 I think that the fight with Deathstroke at the very beginning of the game is logical and correct. He is a professional. We didn't come to him, he found us by himself, caught us with our pants down. The boss fight with him is quite difficult due to changed timings and unpredictable movements.
One thing about the Riddler Trophies in Asylum is that even though they could be tedious to collect, there was always a map you could find that made that last dash for them SO much easier. I’ve been able to do Asylum’s trophy grab twice now. With City and Knight, while I like the added depth of finding Riddler informants to interrogate trophy/riddle locations out of them, you don’t get anywhere as many locations as Asylum, meaning you have to get lucky and find another informant over and over again. Not to mention finding all the different smashable objects or other challenges on top of that in Asylum, which was just borderline insane. Knight toned it down, but it was still a trek to try and find all the trophies.
Asylum has other side missions besides Riddler: The Spirit of Arkham and the Joker Teeth. Some would say the interview tapes are a side mission as well, but I’d count them as collectibles.
Asylum's Amadeus Arkham side mission is one of the best, leaving only Riddler's trail to be the worst, could have used an extra challenge or something at the end once you'd unlocked all the secrets. City, discounting the obvious ones, had some hit and miss side missions, but I really feel that the Bane side mission needed more to it, not just a slow search and destroy and then fight with henchmen and then done. Origins had the best side missions, the murder investigations, Deadshot, Cyrus Pinkney mystery, the towers taken by Riddler were actually cool, that's how a search and destroy (in essence) should be done, Mad Hatter was a nice getaway from the intense action of the game and towards a less intense platformer (with danger of course). That being said, the Blackgate escapees were okay, but it really does just feel like a grind at that point in the game, and pales significantly in comparison to the side missions we get prior to this. Knight was definitely the most lacking in substance when it came to the side missions, needed that bit extra oomph for each of the side missions, Pyg was probably the best, along with the Two-Face predator sections, and the feeling of taking back Gotham from the militia was satisfying, but so much more could have been done to ensure the substance of these missions weighed heavier, this is Batman's send-off, nothing felt conclusive, just the normal take them back until they break out and do it again. The lack of real boss fights and the lack of weight to the characters and their conclusions felt really bittersweet and underwhelming.
Imagine if Hush's Arkham Knight secondary mission ends in a final battle after Hush and Batman jump off the wayne skyscraper to end up in a battle on the rooftops of Gotham where even Batman would come close to dying It should be remembered that Hush was not defeated by Batman nor locked up by the bat in an entire universe called New Earth. it would have been amazing!
Hush was taken down by two-factor authentication. The second factor was the iris scan, as shown by the eyeball on the computer screen. Yeah, Hush replicated Bruce's face. But Bruce was a step ahead with eye-dentification.
My personal least favorite side mission in Arkham City is the Zsasz one, not because they're bad or particularly poorly done, but because the phone ALWAYS started ringing while I was in the middle of doing something else and sent to me the whole other side of the city Maybe I could've ignored it but given the quest's concept I always figured that ignoring it was a failstate
For city, I would probs go proximity mine detonator because it’s such a useless gadget that i literally only used for the riddler challenge map requirements. The only good thing is how you can keep placing and tearing off the tape over Harleys mouth, gives me a giggle. Oh yeh and the dead shot mission in city. It was cool crime scene but that "fight" was so underwhelming,
My experience with Riddler in the Arkham games: Arkham Asylum: This is pretty fun and gives me a reason to more thoroughly explore Arkham. Arkham City: Okay, some of these are a bit annoying and tedious but I can toughen it out to save the hostages and get that 100% completion. Riddler in Arkham Origins: Okay, this is actually getting kind of frustrating and I am beginning to lose my patience. Riddler in Arkham Knight: I want to do to Riddler what Reverse Flash did to Barry.
Azreal was kinda disappointing for me. I was hoping for more after his end of time premonition in City, but instead, it ultimately came down to choosing between wanting to see Azreal behind bars or not for the rest of the game.
In the comics Hush was a very pesky villain that threw Bruce's life into a downward spiral. In the game his plan was so inept that he didn't account for a retinal scanner being used.
I have some theories on the cut side missions in Arkham Asylum. I think Killer Croc was meant as an optional boss, and the scales were meant as a way to track him and find out where on Arkham Island he was hiding. About the coins, I think you were meant to run into Two-Face at some point and he would ask you find his coin, which along with several false ones would be hidden across the island, and each time you restart the game, the right coin would be in a different spot
Arkham Asylum: The Riddler Challenges Teeth. I absolutely hated that above all else. Arkham City: Augmented Reality Training Arkham Knight: Every side mission that had to deal with the Arkham Knights army. That was beyond tedious.
Some People say Arkham Origins is the weakest of the entire Arkhamverse, but I disagree imo Knight is 3 in my ranking just right above Asylum. The problem I have with Arkham Knight is the lack of boss fights and the fact that it was rated M and they censored every violent scene in it that had blood even Orcale’s fake suicide scene, honestly what’s point in rating your game M if you’re just gonna censor every violent scene? And I can’t forget about the Batmobile taking up 90% of Gameplay & Boss fights, the game had so potential but all that was wasted on the Batmobile at least the game had the best Side Missions (Except the hush one) & Upgrades imo.
The Titan containers are also very well placed and on normal playthroughs I destroy them all before protocol 10 without even going out of my way for them and then finish in the post game. Same with Azrael, and Hatter fits well into the flow of the story. If we wanna talk about pointless side missions, the political prisoners are an obnoxious quest to complete, with an arbitrary amount of identical random encounters to complete. My actual least favorite is Deadshot, because you literally just have to wait for him. Twice. I hundred percent the rest of the game waiting for him every time I try it, and the fact he's still bothering with it after protocol 10 undermines his story.
I feel like with Hush, there could've been greater potential with making him one of the main villains Batman is suppose to defeat and not some rando who comes to Wayne tower and ruins Lucious' night. I would've loved that if Hush used his Bruce Wayne disguise to lock down Wayne tower as a part of his master plan. Manipulating the milita with "payment" because he is "Bruce Wayne" afterall. And would pay the soldiers handsomely. I picture it to be somewhat similar to the Bank Heist bust from Two-Face but you only have to go into predator mode once. And after that, Hush would be sending squads down for you to fight like Penguin's arena fight in City. It would end with Batman overpowering the soldiers and then we would turn to the Lucious hostage situation as Hush's last resort against Batman. Then it plays as what we have in Knight. That would've been a better fight against Hush because it's a mix of gameplay into one. But this would change the story, asking why and how Hush mustered this many militia, and if the Arkham Knight let squads of his men to raid Wayne tower it would have to be for a reason. At least with Two-Face he is working with Scarecrow, but I don't think Scarecrow would let Hush in the team without knowing the truth behind the disguise. It would be better if the Arkham Knight took thw opportunity to collect new intel on Batman because his intel was outdated.
My issue with the Arkham Knight side missions was that some of them were very repetitive. Like the bombs, watch towers, Two-Face, Militia's car chase, & some other side missions that were just the same.
As much as I love city(fav game of all time), the worst side missions are the two were you just go to pick up a gadget like the iceberg lounge one and the ice mine upgrade one
For my money, and I’m not picking one for Asylum because that’d just be pointless, these are what I’d pick. City: Mad Hatter (I don’t actually dislike this one, it was just tough to pick and I thought Origins did theirs a tad better and that’s the only thing I can really say Origins did better than any of the others) Origins: The Dark Knight System. Not sure if it counts as a side mission but I’m still choosing it because I hate it so much. They’re physical challenges, but unlike the ones in City you have to do them in a strict and specific order, and some can only be done DURING THE MAIN GAME AND THEY DON’T TELL YOU THIS. And one of the combat ones can only be achieved by taking advantage of a GODDAMN GLITCH. And if you want to unlock all his gadgets and upgrades then you have to do these, you have no choice in the matter. Fucking awful. Knight: I’m generally pretty cool with all the ones in Knight, even some of the ones that were a tad underwhelming, but the APCs could definitely be a pain in the ass. Second worst probably goes to Firefly for similar reasons, but at least his was shorter and involved a villain.
Great video, broadly agree, but I would say Joker Teeth in Arkham Asylum, since there's no map for them, and in Arkham City, trying to find the Hush missions was a nightmare because it's a whole city filled with dead/knocked-out guys, but you have to look for very specific dead guys.
For me the worst "side mission" in Origins were the combat challenges or whatever they're called, because you need to complete all of them to have the Injustice suit, and they are a pain in the ass but i really wanted that suit
I feel the need to argue that in arkham city the riddler's side mission is still the worst, cause at least in the Bane one its only 6 containers the size of a person and they're marked on the map. It's a lazy side mission with a lazy cutscene and no reward. Riddler's tho, makes you gather hundreds of tiny trophies all around the city mindlessly (also bear in mind the music is turned off after protocol 10 occurs, so youre just gliding through a city in silence and the same 5 lines from joker's thugs over and over again), and in the end there is not even a boss fight, there's a terrible puzzle and then just the end
I'd never played the Hush mission in City, so I thought his mission in Knight was pretty cool. From the mysterious vibes at the beginning and the western-esque showdown at the end, it was something I was glad I took the time to do.
@@redmii69 I think the fact that there was a "mystery" and that Hush escapes in 'City' really made people feel like it was meant for more. Frankly, the way that Azrael talks to Batman in 'City' really disappointed me when I found out what 'Knight' was like... He's talking about "the gates of Hell" opening and "Gotham being consumed by flames" but the only thing even visually approaching that is when the Ace Chemicals facility blows up - which is very early. The toxin cloud really didn't have much of a lasting impact to stand out like this dialogue did. A fix for Azrael in 'Knight' would've been *so* easy, too: after doing the "tests" and Batman revealing that Michael's brain has been corrupted, Azrael could basically be paralleling Bruce throughout part of the rest of the game to "take down the villains" in Azrael's own way: which obviously means using lethal force and much more extreme violence. When and how Batman finally catches up to him to stop him could be worked out, but even make it happen after the Cloudburst battle as the reason why the Knight escapes, rather than yet another Joker fakeout.
Yknow when I first played Arkham Knight it didn't really hit me that the Hush Side Mission was as bad as it was after revisiting it for my Subsequent 240% Run (first Run post getting 100%/Aiming to get 240%) It hit me that "Oh...I didn't realize how bad this side quest arc was fully completed." I still love the Arkham Series but, Hush & Deathstroke are easily the worst side quest in the game. (They fr Assassinated Deathstroke as a character which ticked me off.)
The Bane side mission in city is hilarious on so many levels. The braindead dialog of Bane, the fact, that Batman just has to step to the side to defeat him. Then Batman locks him into a room with the flimsiest looking metal gate ever with the switch right next to the gate. It's so bad, it feels like it was on purpose.
You say that Knight’s side mission is bad? 😂 seriously, City’s is worse. You are chasing the killing maniac, you have him right there and Batman decides to let him go 😂
@@foeinform And another question, how Hush managed to escape Arkham City in a few minutes? This mission literally destroys all plot of AC, so what are you talking about that Knight’s mission is worse?
@@БогданКаушан-к4н "literally destroys all plot of AC." Like the Riddler being able to hide trophies everywhere, including the Restricted Areas and offshore? Or Black Mask just blowing up part of the wall and leaving?
@@christianc.christian5025 But at least it was said in game that Riddler had a lot of people working on him for money, so probably he could have paid some TYGER security guards (I know they are brainwashed, but it is the only possibility. Perhaps Riddler somehow managed to walk through this brainwashing, thanking his intelligent) About Black Mask. I can believe that some mafiosi with an armed gang could have attacked the least secured part of a wall and tried to escape. The Joker actually wanted to do the same thing if you played carefully But I can never believe that some random surgeon, who looks like AC inmate №1 (Bruce Wayne) managed to escape AC in 2 minutes (this is actually the biggest amount of time that it took Batman to escape from Hush‘s trap)
@@christianc.christian5025 I even believe that we can interrogate some TYGER guards to find out about some trophies, at least I remember interrogating soldiers near League’s hideout
What kind of mic did you end up getting? Also I agree with the Arkham Asylum Riddler Trophies and such. I absolutely loved Asylum, but it didnt really have any side content. Once you beat it, you've beat it. The sad thing about the Bane side mission in Arkham City, is that there's no bossfight or anything. It's just a very boring side mission that honestly didn't even need to be in the game.
I got the Fifine AM8! It’s a bit more professional than what I had anyway 😅 Yeah the Bane mission was pretty unsatisfying but at least in origins he got a lot more screen time!
I honestly agree that Asylum used the riddler best. He took no hostages so I felt no guilt ignoring his challenges. But it's funny how he progressively gets more mad the more riddles you collect. Kinda ashamed that he doesn't do that in Arkham city. Riddler is quiet until you do one of his traps
I think the surprising part to me is that Rocksteady just... couldnt nail boss battles with their combat system. WB Montreal managed it with one game, even if that game is one of the weakest overall, but Rocksteady just seemingly couldnt get a real good boss battle outside of like... 2 or 3 in 3 games. Most ended up being mediocre or just downright bad or tedious.
@@foeinform you get an achievement if you do it, so seriously, what did the devs except people to do? Play the game every single day of the year and go there for a quest.
In my professional opinion, the characters Guest Stroke and Hush from the Arkham Knight game represent missed opportunities for compelling villains. They had the potential to be formidable adversaries for Batman, providing him with significant challenges and compelling storylines. However, their potential was squandered, as they were defeated without posing a substantial threat to Batman. Hush, in particular, was a disappointment, as he was easily defeated without putting up a fight. Deathstroke, on the other hand, offered more resistance, with his armored vehicle engaging in combat. It is possible that future Arkham games may give these characters the opportunity to shine and fulfill their potential as menacing villains.
Worst side mission in City is Assault in Progress. I’ve had so many playthroughs slowed down because I had to fly through the mostly barren city looking for those after the main game.
The fact that Bane, in Arkham City just kept his half of the Titan tanks for himself without Batman knowing, means he was stealthy enough to just keep all the tanks for himself to begin with, he didn’t need to let Batman to get involved at all and let him destroy those tanks 😂
In arkham city bane side quest if you returned to bane after destroying all the containers but during the helicopters attacking the city then tyger guards will attack
Asylum was your favorite? Don't hear that much, I respect it. Not many kids realize how big of a leap that game was from it's Batman game predecessors.
Asylum: I almost don't want to say Riddler by default, because it was Rocksteady's first Arkham game, and I can't blame them for not knowing how to implement more missions in a limited setting. My only complain being that the puzzles and riddles were too easy. City: Deadshot and Bane. Both characters are supposed to be strong, deadly, precise, and strategic. Especially Bane. For them to go down in one hit or in a small cutscene just feels like a joke. Origins: Bird, Riddler, and Penguin. Bird and Penguin's felt like filler missions. I'm only mentioning Riddler because in Origins his mission is the least rewarding. Yeah, the easter egg was cool, but where is he? No additional dialogue or hint of where he left. At least all the other games gave me some sort of closure or satisfaction for collecting every trophy. Knight: Deadshot, Firefly, and Hush. Why was Deadshot's boss fight a tank battle??? And for him to go down in one hit. Firefly was plain annoying and repetitive. Hush was a huge wasted potential. The whole Hush mission was short, underwhelming, and made him look stupid. All that effort just for him to go on the low, come back without causing any trouble (he could've easily tried ruining Bruce's reputation or take advantage of his likeness), get past the front desk (which is the only use he had for the face), and get taken down with the press of ONE button. I think in general, I'd say Hush had the worst mission out of all 3 games. Its frustrating to think that there was so much potential for him to be the main villain of Knight, instead of Jason.
the Black Mask side mission in Origins is one of my favorites, which is ironic because the Knight DLC with him is in my opinion the worst. A reused character model from Origin despite seeing how he'd changed his look in Asylum and City, and a lacklustre boss fight where he goes out begging and pleading despite his criminal insanity in Origins making him an intimidating character despite having no powers. Given his use of a double in Origins, I just tend to think that's why he was so 'familiar' but weak in Knight, it was just another double. Thanks for the video, this was a fun watch.
My golden rule with the batman Arkham games is to only complete side missions like the Riddler, until batman is levelled up enough to complete the game. And then forget the rest . As traipsing back through a completed Arkham game , feels like a waste of an expensive games console. For the record the Arkham Knight driving challenges are the worst. Even the storyline of catwoman held prisoner is not enough to keep me interested.
The sole purpose of the penguin arms crates in origins was basically to set up the relationship between Batman and Barbra though why they tried to connect this mission to Penguin when he has no impact on it is beyond me

It would be amazing!)

The worst part about the hush side quest is that it’s too quick.
I’m not saying that hush had to be the main villain of the game or anything, but here’s how they could’ve extended his side quest a little:
10/10 improvement
The Arkham games sure do love their villains setting up bombs huh? I think that’s a little overdone. Other than that great job

That’s true I don’t know if there is any confirmation why there isn’t but I’d love to find out why
It's litteraly just because the game had to be rushed, they couldn't even do what they wanted in the main story because of the time constraints
@@isabellebread9773you made that up from nothing
Rocksteady while in the beginning stages of game development, wanted the game to be able to be completed with those uninterested/unfamiliar in Batman-franchise media, so it makes sense that they would stick to the basics. I really liked the way the Asylum flowed. Arkham City kinda dragged on for me.
After all those years of planning, murder, and sewing dead skin onto his face, Hush just used the disguise to get past the receptionist. That cracked me up
For City I gotta disagree, I think the political prisoners is the worst side mission, it's repetitive as hell and has no sort of reward for completing it
That’s fair I was thinking that it only took a second to save them so it wasn’t too annoying for me personally
Saving people is the reward.
City had a side mission where all you do is collect a gadget in the iceberg lounge. Surely that's the worst
I agree. The screaming was annoying
@@pooshellythe screams felt more like they were being butt raped then getting beat up.
This is for sure the worst since:
1)You barely remember it and that it was a side mission
2)theres literally only 1 line of monologue in the game for it
3)Its the worst/most useless equipment that batman gets
True that’s a good shout also! I did completely forget about the mission when a took a break from playing the game
Yeah, outside of my NG+ run (which was super helpful at times), I only use it to get the Riddler challenge and to make taking out the first stun stick users a bit easier.
It's pretty useful for predator sequences
@kaifchoudhary2448 i havent had any reason to use it other that the challenge maps challenge. By the time you use it you could have changed positioning and take out a thug(silent, window/wallsmash,l edge...).
It’s pretty helpful for taking out the snipers at the steel mill near the end of the game

Haha yeah they’re definitely annoying but I find them satisfying once completed
I like to do 30 after I complete another side mission. That way you’re not just getting then all at once.
HOWEVER I did think one of the best in Knight was the Nora Fries one, as that ending had me emotional and I feel it was the perfect end for Victor and Nora:
“I don’t want you to die, Nora.”
“Then let me live”.

The one thing about the militia's tanks which I wasn't crazy about was how the order of the mines and Freeze's side mission really make it seem like they're still functional and active if you tackle them after completing the main story.
they're not hard unlike the cloudburst tank battle
ALL of Knight's side missions were poor, not because of quality, but repetition. Did we need 20 firefighter rescues? Identical repetition of the same mission multiple times with no changes?

The Deacon Blackfire side mission in Arkham Knight, unless you've been paying attention to Jack Ryder you're not going to get this mission until someone else in the GCPD mentions that he took off so it might come right out of nowhere. This mission could have been better if they had tied it into the stuff with Azrael, make Blackfire a member of the order (or former member) that Azrael works for and have the confrontation with the Deacon be the part where Azrael makes the decision to either join Batman or try to kill him. Depending on your choice it could result in a boss fight.
"Four games in a row", wisely pushing blackgate off to the side
In Arkham Knight, it’s the Firefly chasing missions for me. You can easily lose sight of him and if he gets away you’re forced to wait an arbitrary length of time before you try again. Very annoying.
It's mad that I'd still rather do all of these side missions than ones where I drive around bee drones or get a tease for a villain DLC that wont come out
3:08 That's odd. I can see that it is clearly Joker's henchmen that Ambush Batman and Bane, but in the version I played it was Hugo Strange's men
Strange I wonder why!
When I first did it, I got tyger guards. Second time joker thugs. I heard if you do it during a certain time it spawns tyger thugs.
I think it’s because you went while Protocol 10 was happening.
If you do it before you complete the main story then TYGER Guards attack it
I hate Barbara in origins. She feels like a fan fiction writers self insert. And all her “hacking knowledge” makes her feel like that one girl from the newest black panther movie
haha I guess so
😂
I just finished Origins and holy crap it feels like that
0:20 74 points for Origins? People even try to play it?
No they didn't
The game isn't as bad as it is portrayed widely. It's a really great story, albeit short. But it's not bad. I thoroughly enjoyed it
@mgasukihanwa841 definitely not bad i was just butthurt how it was marketing that Deathstroke was a big part of it then is gone after an early boss fight
Knight toned it down, but it was still a trek to try and find all the trophies.
can you spot Batman in 6:40 to 6:45 ? 👀
He is on the blue crate on the left!
@@flawless3695 nice one you’re right!
@@flawless3695 took me a minute to find him lol
If the Two-Face coins existed they would have to have Two-Face physically in the game and not Two mentions
Arkham Asylum actually has the chronicles of Arkham as well
Yeah I didn’t consider it as you have to scan the chronicles in order to complete riddlers side mission
Asylum has other side missions besides Riddler: The Spirit of Arkham and the Joker Teeth. Some would say the interview tapes are a side mission as well, but I’d count them as collectibles.
I wouldn’t consider them cause you can’t beat riddler without collecting them all
for arkham knight its tge riddler missions and EVERYTHING that involves the batmobile
Haha that’s fair
Batmobile wasn’t bad idk what y’all be on
I’m glad Asylum didn’t have anymore side missions, made it more chill
That’s definitely true, I agree!
Imagine if Hush's Arkham Knight secondary mission ends in a final battle after Hush and Batman jump off the wayne skyscraper to end up in a battle on the rooftops of Gotham where even Batman would come close to dying
It should be remembered that Hush was not defeated by Batman nor locked up by the bat in an entire universe called New Earth.
it would have been amazing!
Hush was taken down by two-factor authentication. The second factor was the iris scan, as shown by the eyeball on the computer screen. Yeah, Hush replicated Bruce's face. But Bruce was a step ahead with eye-dentification.
My personal least favorite side mission in Arkham City is the Zsasz one, not because they're bad or particularly poorly done, but because the phone ALWAYS started ringing while I was in the middle of doing something else and sent to me the whole other side of the city
Maybe I could've ignored it but given the quest's concept I always figured that ignoring it was a failstate
It was cool crime scene but that "fight" was so underwhelming,
Yeah that’s true I just thought cause it’s super short that it’s not as bad as Bane’s
I remember getting to the HUSH section of Knight and just being like, "....was that really it!?"
My experience with Riddler in the Arkham games:
Arkham Asylum: This is pretty fun and gives me a reason to more thoroughly explore Arkham.
I don't dislike riddler trophies, I just hate that the Riddler fight & final endings of each game are all tied to me getting enough COLLECTIBLES.
Arkham City: Augmented Reality Training
Arkham Knight: Every side mission that had to deal with the Arkham Knights army. That was beyond tedious.
They’re good picks! I just did all the Arkham Knight’s Army side missions and they were pretty boring lol
What is so frustrating about Arkham Knight is that the side missions are quite good but they dont have an exciting final boss battle
I wish there was a Penguin boss battle in Batman Arkham Origins after his weapon crates go out.
Yeah that would be really fun!
True they’re pretty bad as well!
helping catwoman in the riddler mission should've been enough
For my money, and I’m not picking one for Asylum because that’d just be pointless, these are what I’d pick.
City: Mad Hatter (I don’t actually dislike this one, it was just tough to pick and I thought Origins did theirs a tad better and that’s the only thing I can really say Origins did better than any of the others)
Origins: The Dark Knight System.
They’re good points I agree with origins it can be really annoying!
Haha yeah at least you get rewarded with the suit!
That’s fair I glad you enjoyed!
@@foeinform I guess it's one of those things where it works in a vacuum, but not in the grand scheme of things.
(They fr Assassinated Deathstroke as a character which ticked me off.)
yeah Hush is definitely one of the most disappointing characters in the franchise, Deathstroke as well especially after playing origins haha
Bane: DAMN YOU, BATMAN! If only this flimsy gate that I can easily crush wasn't in my way!
The original only has one side mission and is the riddler trophies.
Yeah I said that in the video lol
Nice thing is, Riddler happens to also be the best side mission of Asylum
Haha yeah true
i thought by the quality of the video that this guy had atleast a million subscriburs
Thank you that means a lot! Hopefully some day haha
You say that Knight’s side mission is bad? 😂 seriously, City’s is worse. You are chasing the killing maniac, you have him right there and Batman decides to let him go 😂
Haha that’s true I do love the build up of Hush’s side mission!
@@foeinform And another question, how Hush managed to escape Arkham City in a few minutes? This mission literally destroys all plot of AC, so what are you talking about that Knight’s mission is worse?
@@БогданКаушан-к4н "literally destroys all plot of AC."
Like the Riddler being able to hide trophies everywhere, including the Restricted Areas and offshore? Or Black Mask just blowing up part of the wall and leaving?
@@christianc.christian5025 But at least it was said in game that Riddler had a lot of people working on him for money, so probably he could have paid some TYGER security guards (I know they are brainwashed, but it is the only possibility. Perhaps Riddler somehow managed to walk through this brainwashing, thanking his intelligent)
About Black Mask. I can believe that some mafiosi with an armed gang could have attacked the least secured part of a wall and tried to escape. The Joker actually wanted to do the same thing if you played carefully
But I can never believe that some random surgeon, who looks like AC inmate №1 (Bruce Wayne) managed to escape AC in 2 minutes (this is actually the biggest amount of time that it took Batman to escape from Hush‘s trap)
@@christianc.christian5025 I even believe that we can interrogate some TYGER guards to find out about some trophies, at least I remember interrogating soldiers near League’s hideout
They did Hush so dirty. He was introduced so well to be tossed aside smh
It’s a bit more professional than what I had anyway 😅
Yeah the Bane mission was pretty unsatisfying but at least in origins he got a lot more screen time!
Only thing i hate about Knight is the ending reveal his identity can’t stand it
Haha yeah I wasn't too impressed tbh!

I'm still mad that the Hush and Azrael plotlines went absolutely nowhere.
I can't believe, finding 400 Riddler trophies to progress Riddler story isn't the worst side mission in Arkham City 😅
Is it just me, or does the Taco Bell bong work perfectly with Hush getting bodied by Batman?
The fact that Bane, in Arkham City just kept his half of the Titan tanks for himself without Batman knowing, means he was stealthy enough to just keep all the tanks for himself to begin with, he didn’t need to let Batman to get involved at all and let him destroy those tanks 😂
I can't be the only player whose favorite part was doing all the riddles and The Riddler's missions lol
In arkham city bane side quest if you returned to bane after destroying all the containers but during the helicopters attacking the city then tyger guards will attack
Interesting I must give that a try

I'd love (and pay) to see a video on the best and worst DLC missions in the Arkham series.
I didn't even know there was a penguin side mission in Origins
Riddler trophies are the worst
Haha definitely can get tedious
the Black Mask side mission in Origins is one of my favorites, which is ironic because the Knight DLC with him is in my opinion the worst.
They did black mask dirty in the series
My golden rule with the batman Arkham games is to only complete side missions like the Riddler, until batman is levelled up enough to complete the game. And then forget the rest . As traipsing back through a completed Arkham game , feels like a waste of an expensive games console.
For the record the Arkham Knight driving challenges are the worst. Even the storyline of catwoman held prisoner is not enough to keep me interested.
That’s a good point!
The sole purpose of the penguin arms crates in origins was basically to set up the relationship between Batman and Barbra though why they tried to connect this mission to Penguin when he has no impact on it is beyond me
3:10 i think is a hard difficulty thing, but you can get ambushed by S.T.R.I.K.E.R Guard
Strange I always play on hard so dunno if it’s different, thanks though I must try another difficulty and see
I like Riddler Trophies but one trophy is bugged in my Arkham Origins game. It made me hate the trophies completely.
