The Whittlestone Walk

A circular walk from Victoria Park in Ilkeston to Mapperley Village and back. The route is described in a "Country Walk in Erewash" (No, 6) leaflet and is approximately five miles in length. Parts of the walk like the Nutbrook Trail are bike friendly but the walk as a whole is not. Sections of it are across fields, over styles and through Mapperley Park Wood where the ground can be waterlogged.
