  • In this lesson, you will learn how to take the derivative of trig functions in calculus. The derivative is the slope of the line tangent to the curve. What we will find is that the derivative of the sine function is equal to the cosine function. This is because sin and cos are related functions and only differ by a phase shift. We will also learn the derivatives of other functions such as tangent, cotangent, secant, and cosecant.

Jason always has something useful to explain. Even when the questions become messy his explanations are lucid. The guy is a treasure. Thanks Jason . You are brilliant!

Greatest math teacher in history-hands down. I failed math in high school, couldn’t grasp it, took some logic courses, did okay, but this is the real deal right here. No one on this planet outlines the concept the way you do.

Jason is around 20 years old in this video. I have been watching his videos here on youtube for close to 2 years now and I have learned a lot. What this tells me is how he had a plan in his youth and stuck to it! This video was made when the internet was still young! I don't know why you left NASA sir but I know why they hired you!

Uticus . You did not see that this term ie the middle term is not involved in the reorganization . The x squared was extracted from the other two terms.

on timeline 33:21 you have 3 terms. How can you factor out an X squared from the middle term which does not have an X squared
