He's probably more comfortable talking in his first language, and it's easier to be loud when you don't have to focus so much to translate and make sure you're pronouncing words correctly.
If you know 2 or more languages you will have 2 different personalities when you speak one language or the other. Not necessarily you'll be more confident (personality wise because of course for the mere speaking act you'll be) while speaking your native language. Some people become more shy or more outspoken when they switch languages
Believe me when I say that us italians are very loud, we always try to one up each other with our speaking volume when talking and talking this softly probably took him conscious effort
As a black woman who lived it Italy in my 20s, I totally related to the loud style of communication in Italians! To others it can misinterpreted as shouting at each other, when it's really just passionate expression!
As an 85% Italian woman who lived in Detroit for 3 years, I totally agree with you - we are loud and we cut each other off all the time. I always thought Sarah's hair was all real! I'm so sad to hear about her hair loss. Hair for anyone is a big part of their identity, and to lose control of what happens to your hair is honestly devastating. Really loved this interview. Sarah and Carlo are great!
Gosh. Breaking up with the person you really like, but don't feel is the right person for you... that is sooo hard. Takes a lot of courage. Glad you did!

Thank you Matt for bringing up men's mental health. For both men and women there doesn't have to be a true psychological reason for depression or sadness. Depression and severe sadness can also be brought on by chemical reactions in your body that are just simply out of your control. You can have all your needs met and still find yourself needing help. About the last name, as a Brazilian, here we normally take one from each parent, but, they can mix and chose whatever last name fits better for their kids first name, as long both parents has it. The kid can either have one to three (even more) last names plus it first name. We also don't have middle names like in the US. We have double names like Anne Marie, i.e, so that plus 2 or 3 last names for most kids.

And he’s really an amazing guy. I wish Sarah could’ve been with him
One of my favorite videos that Carlo and Sarah made was about Carol's disappointment , when nobody in the neighborhood brought him a cake 😆 I really appreciate this relationship and though our story is slightly different my fiancé and I have the same dynamic , down to the challenges of different cultures and the loud Italian background. I love this couple, and this collab!
The never being forever broken talk, the Chinese culture, fixes broken porcelain with gold.. the cracks are there, but they shine like gold. And they are imperfectly perfect... more gorgeous than before❤
So relatable in so many ways… so many stories where I could say something similar has happened to me. Additionally, as a married man with 2 kids, who has struggled with knowing my value at times, it is so helpful to know others go through the similar problems. I often wonder, more specifically with men, if there is a problem with modern society. It is in our nature to be the ones that build the house, work the field, hunt for food… that has all been taken away by modern society and now we sit at desks. So much of our natural identity has been stripped away.

As someone who is in a bilingual relationship (I'm french, my husband's English) and is raising our kids bilingual, I would really advise that both parents, if possible, can speak both languages (at least a little bit) as it makes it way easier and more likely to succeed. It's not as easy as people think as the language of the country that the family lives in will always come out as the dominant one - I know my kids often feel quite lazy about speaking French (we live in the UK)! But it's a really cool thing to do for sure and I'm really happy that I've done it!

It took a few months to grow back, but I have to be very aware in times of stress, not to pull hair out.
Love this!❤ Carlo is just darling! Best collab with my 2 fav couples!!
Two of my favorite couples! Carlo is so sweet. My husband and I love their videos. I definitely didn’t expect to see them here.
