How to Freeze Dry Bananas

Freeze dried bananas are yummy. I carry a lot with me while hunting or other outdoor ventures. Bananas are inexpensive and easy to freeze dry. I show you how I freeze dry my bananas. I use a slicer I bought on amazon. Super easy and short batch times.

Great video! I’m about to try my first batch with my harvest right. One thing: I’ve been using oxygen absorbers for a long time. You really shouldn’t put any in a bag until you’re ready to seal it. They only last for about 10 minutes. Instead, I’ll fill one mylar bag up and throw an OA in, but seal the rest of the oxygen absorbers up in a mason jar until you’re ready to use each one.

Dehydrated, they are really good. Freeze dried, are they close to the same once you add water? That freeze dryer fascinates me. Soon as things slow down, I gotta come bother you!

I don’t add water, we just eat them as a crunchy snack. Way better than a fresh one in my opinion.
