      RE is pricing Himalayan low but it's coming with few serious problems like right pull, uneven dampening of front suspension, improperly torqued bolts on clutch and engine casing, loose spoke etc.
      Unlike Himalayan, KTM comes with Fully adjustable suspension.
      Next gen is going to be based on Dakar Rally platform.

    In my humble opinion Tubed Tires on a offroad machine are the best, because Tubeless tires require a Rim that has a particular inner shape to stop air from leaking, which is a problem because in many cases you might end up bending the Rim which will empty your tubeless tire.

    KTM still has an upper edge, the standard variant is 57k expensive than Himalayan top model, it has a lot of features which makes it the best tourer and an okaish off road machine in the market and honestly off-road shouldn't be much of a concern as how many off roads are there, very few, and yes pot holes don't count any bike can handle them. You get bi directional quick shifter, traction control, cornering ABS and less weight by almost 20kG. Practically speaking KTM is simply way better than Himalayan.

    • @virajvrooms
      @virajvrooms 4 месяца назад

      @@Rahul-kp6wnNope. Our rural kaccha roads are way better to what you find in the US and Europe. So please stop classifying our rural roads as off roads. Off roads actually mean trails where clear roads don't exist. So just like refinement is not a factor here as per Schumi, off roading is not at all a factor here. The real off roaders are way lighter and torquier than these two. All boils down to which one is a better all rounder. The 390 does things that Himi simply can't dream of. It's agile as a Duke in cities, Comfortable as a GT on highways and Good Soft roader when you are not commuting on tar roads. Himalayan is heavy and stiffer to operate. The only barrier is the price which I don't guess anyone seriously interested in buying the KTM ADV has a problem with. Every owner craves some exclusivity. The price and seat height of the current gen automatically serves as a barrier for most to buy.

I've heard/read a lot of bad things about the new Himalayan for example, the right side pull (which exists on all RE bikes), Tubed tires, overweight and overall build quality. Meanwhile on the other hand people say the Adv 390/250 is just a street bike with Adventure suspension. Not sure what to do now 🥲 might end up buying a Dominar 400 and save myself some good money.

      Whichever bike you have on your wishlist, just go and test ride it. Test rides don't last for a while, so consider renting bikes that you liked the and finalize the ones that you liked the most. That really is the only way to find out which bike is suitable for you. I have ridden the Himalayan 450 and I liked its aggressive acceleration style, but the vibrations are kind of a deal breaker for me. I own the CB350 Highness, but since you've mentioned Dominar, I'd recommend that you go ahead with it, because it is quite an underrated machine. Only downside I've heard from the owners is service. Good luck man and let us know which bike you get :)

      If u are going to use it as a daily commuter and sometimes little trips to mountains I will suggest ktm because of the smaller front tyre it makes your bike more nimble on sharp turns, it's easy to maneuver while trying to have a race against time while going to office while himalyan will require u too slow down a little bit , but u will surely enjoy the low end of himalyan. If you want to have one bike garage u have to make compromises. But if you are open to two bikes I will suggest Himalayan and Aprilia 457 best pair according to me.
      As u said u already have dominar and if u want to keep that dominar I will suggest Himalayan, totally different bike different character, u will love switching between Dominar and Himalayan, it will just add a different feeling will doing a daily commute.

    Which makes the ADV 390x the most practical decision as of now. (Tubeless setup, settled down vibrations at highway speeds, Himalayan tends to buzz a lot at 90-110, lighter weight to easily move around in city and in trails).
