old canadian boomer here. have no idea how i missed this in my youth. i was a HUGE CCR fan, soon as i heard ' i put a spell on you'. heartfelt thank-you. love your reactions. my favourite thing about you, is instead of pausing to comment, you usually just look straight at the camera, and your expression says it all. gratitude and respect sir
John Fogerty. One of America's greatest singer/songwriters. Hit after hit. John's 60s songs were crafted to stand the test of time. Stories that fans know by heart. Songs you cannot get out of your head. God bless CCR and John Fogerty. Instant classics in the 60s and still going strong.
Just keep going with CCR JMBOY you got a bottomless pit of class to uncover in their back catalogue. Loving your style of reaction without interrupting the flow of the music, shows real respect for the music and your listeners.
Great stuff. This is the music of my youth and it still moves me to this day, 50 years later. CCR had a ton of hits inna relatively short time….but the non-hits are just as good. Check out Born To Move, Hideaway, Keep on Chooglin, Midnight special….the list could go on for days!
The talented and handsome John Fogerty, pure soul. My favourite group. I love all their songs especially Midnight Special, something about it; it stays in your head once you have heard them. Also Heard It Through the grapevine live performance.
C.C.R.... John Fogerty. A string of hits few other groups can rival in such a short period. I am lucky to have seen them back in the 70's and John more recently. AWESOME shows. Your first was 'I Put A Spell On You".... I smiled back then, and again.
I wasn't much of a Fogerty fan in the 70's, but listening to some of these again, looking through @JMBOYTV eyes & ears, I have somewhat changed my view. However, I couldn't listen to him over and over again like a Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin album.
Great reaction. I am coming back for your videos because you listen to the song without interrupting every 15 seconds. Thank you for that!❤ Please react to their biggest hits "Who'll Stop the Rain", Down On the Corner, "Have You Ever Seen the Rain", Looking Out My Back Door, and Up Around the Bend. These particular songs were played A LOT on the radio for good reason!!❤❤❤
Quality... the number one factor that will gain you subscribers that are true fans of what you're doing. REAL MUSIC.. created by real musicians using a wide array of real instruments. Brilliant arrangements and the most intelligent influential often shocking lyrics. Avoid the stuff made by machines as much as you can. Always...Keep It Real. Go listen to your reaction to "Time Has Come Today' again, one take LIVE... Amazing
John played the sax on this track. He's actually proficient on several instruments and very talented. The only man to ever get sued for sounding like himself
Another 1970 offering from the same album (Cosmos Factory) that I think you'd like is "Up Around the Bend" ~ and from 1969 two other favorites "Down On the Corner" and "Green River"💚🎶
Like so many back in the day CCR was one of my favorite bands as well. JM, you gave an exceptional breakdown on this one: they gave every verse space to breathe. 👊 A request… a CCR cover of Proud Mary by Ike & Tina Turner. Tina is the real talent, Ike was nothing without her. She’s a rock icon with a distinct voice. When you hear that voice there’s no question about it. It’s Tina. ruclips.net/video/hzQnPz6TpGc/видео.html
@@rickkane7913 yes of course and I note that in my OP except now in reading it again I can see how it confused you.👆🧐 I could have stated it differently by saying I’m requesting Ike & Tina Turner’s cover of CCR’s Proud Mary. Much more concise! JM has already done a reaction to CCR’s Proud Mary & he probably knows Fogerty wrote it. As long as he knows what the heck I’m talking about is what matters to me.
His voice, that groove, that sax, Lawddd have marcyyyy.
John’s voice is soul food to the ears
This song will last forever, The music and lyrics hit deep, dont know how describe this song it is absolute genius!

This came out during the Vietnam War and was particularly evocative to soldiers.

Great reaction...Thank you! John played the sax, and wrote the song, and did the vocals. Talented guy, that John Fogerty!
By far my fav CCR song - followed by the rain tunes - Have you ever seen the rain, and Who'll stop the rain

John Fogerty has one of those voices that as soon as you hear him sing one note, you know exactly who it is.
Reminds me of when the porch lights went on we all had to go home!!

Welcome to my world of the 50 60 70 Southern Rock at its best
Very meaningful song to the soldiers who served in Vietnam at that time.❤️

John's voice has a sax quality about it on this one. Perfect to have a sax to accompany the tune.
That's Fogerty, (pronounced like Fo-cus) playing the sax too.

Love how you wait until it's over before you comment! I really dislike when others interior mess up the flow.
This is one of my favorite CCR song.Hard to find a bad CCR song though.
CCR recs? Check out "Penthouse Pauper". I don't see that one getting many reactions.
❤❤❤
Q.M.S. - "Don't Cry My Lady Love".... Piano is... are you kidding me! good.

Proud Mary was written by John Fogerty and recorded by CCR before Ike & Tina!!!
