- Dustin Jones moved from Ohio to South Louisiana for two reasons, and one of them was the fishing. This week, he had a rare day off from work, so I invited him to tag along with me on an adventure into the marsh.
We caught a variety of fish, including a BUNCH of speckled trout, and had an absolute FEAST in the marsh! Check out the video for all the details.

We throw 20 lb braid here in Matagorda, but we tie a 6' 20lb Fluorocarbon leader. Will eliminate those break offs, and act as a "forgiveness" buffer.

Another awesome video. I try fishing like you with the paddle tail with 3/8 jug head. Same color. But for the life of me I can’t catch fish doing that. I catch using shrimp in the same hole. So I don’t get it. I want to learn that so bad. I’ll keep trying though. I try fast, I try slow. Enjoyed your cook also. That looked awesome
