The only issue that I see with that kind of filter setup is it will decrease the blower strength that comes out on the vents. If you check the "newer" cars with cabin filter, the filter is located "before" or on the intake side of the blower fan.

Hey there mister.Thank you for comment. And you are correct in your logic. But i have to say i did not notice a massive difference...eventhough i havent driven the car alot since the conversion as it was done late in the " driving season". But to be honest...i would rather have abit less air speed coming out of the air vents, than having all that crap coming into the car :) I think you just put me onto the idea of maybe doing a little follow up of this mod next season ,just to recap abit and see how it went :) Thanx :) I hope you are doing great,.Merry Christmas, and soon a happy new year :) Greeting from Norway ,Stefan

Do you possibly have the dimensions of these filters? I'm having trouble locating some of these filters locally.
This is a great idea as soon as I can source these filters I'll be doing this to my evo. Cheers!

Search filters for a Lancer GLX, or Lancer 1.3, it's the non evo version and probably easier to find

    Nice 👍
There is no cabin filter in my Sierra. I don't know how to get him there, but I really want to.

Thank you .Hmm....In the sierra..i am not sure how i would approach it..cause i dont think either of the Sierras had cabin air filter as standard or option.BUT...it can be done. You could make a bracket and a frame that goes between the blower motor, and its original mounting surface. Then find a suitable filter.and put that in.Obviously it is not " easy" if you do not have the tools etc to do the work..but..it is definetly possible to work out something :) Greetings,Stefan

Great video! I’m currently about to do this to my Evo 5. Do you know any other brands that include the clip and are available in the US? I was looking at the Bosch 1987432086 and I hope it comes with the clip 🥲

Hey there.Thanx for kind words. Im afraid i do not know if any other filter brand comes with this in the package. At the time of filming(over two years ago)..im sure this was the only one available in my country at least.Hence the only reason i bought this. As i otherwise would have choosen Mann, or MAhle filters. Greetings from Norway,Stefan

@@TheCarTakerGarage Thanks! My issue is that the two middle air vents don't blow any air out. I pulled out the original cabin air filter (MR227823) and it was filthy like yours. I'm still getting no flow so I'm going to pull the blower off too. Any other areas you recommend I check for no air flow in the vents?
