I listen to this more often than the original just because of how much I think the vhs documentary intro adds to the song honestly.

If I may also add, when I first heard this song, I assumed it was about someone who had been eaten alive, since they couldn't see anything that indicated that they were blind, yet they were able to see "hearts" in a terribly dark environment. The music, for some reason, also just reminds me somewhat of a marinescape, like a sea or ocean. I don't know why. So maybe the protag was eaten alive by a whale. It just fit the bleakness of the song. And maybe the whale was "surprised" that the man it had in its body was inside of itself, yet unable to understand it.

I thought it was the cave allegory, and how a person leaving the cave would see animals as aliens. The part about the flying creature that burns his eyes would be the sun.

Did you make this video? I know the audio is from Neil Cicierga but I was thinking, the video is so interesting. I could just barely see anything happening in it. And I see other videos on your channel have thumbnails that look like they're similar in terms of aesthetics.

Neon Flights I the took the footage from the documentary, "Dinosaurs!" But, I didn't do all too much editing in this video compared to my others, which kind of makes this one my least favorite. I have been working on a new one though.

Neon Flights I considered doing that, but I wanted to do something new. So I plan to have out a new music video for the song "Bill Waterson" by the end of the year (I intended to have it out in September but life got in the way) and then I might try to either remake this video or do a different song altogether.
