He should've left OTE all together smh, Eli got 10 (or 11 cant remember) offers when playing under his father at Moravian Prep facing off against elite competition and proving himself on a national schedule. Eli also had way more buzz and respect his freshman year, they were considering him the #1 Guard in the entire 2025 and he damn sure was proving that every single game and now look.... the kid's stock completely fell off a cliff this year and he's not only dropped out of the top 100 rankings completely but he's not ranked at all which is ridiculous lmao. Since being in this bullshit league he's only received 2 offers so if you think OTE is an advancement for his career based off all of this alone you might just be an idiot/dick rider the proof is literally in the pudding. If scouts/analyst respected OTE as a legit organization his performance this year would've brought him HELLA offers Eli balled tf out this season. I'll give another example, OTE is the exact same reason Rob went from a projected lottery lock in the draft to disappearing from the 1st round completely (check the mock drafts yourself if you don't believe me) When Rob was at Combine Academy and shit even Donda the buzz and hype for his future as a player was crazy (I'm talking about from scouts/analyst by the way, rob's game is flashy and extremely entertaining so fans will love him and think he's elite as fuck regardless of where he is playing) Why do you think he wasnt invited to the Nike Hoop Summit (Which he was indeed eligible for unlike the MCDAAG) even though he's been part of team USA in the past? his stock tanked when he decided to play here. One last example? OTE is the same exact reason Nas Cunningham went from being ranked 3rd in the 2024 class to now 25 where his stock will probably continue heading down if he doesn't have a monster senior season next year. He is a legit D1 prospect and rankings arent the tell all of a players career obviously but everything I said simply proves that OTE isn't helping elite prospects advance their careers as basketball players.. for the most part its doing the very opposite.
(Do not respond to me mentioning the thompson twins as proof OTE being a respected organization, those mfers are literally 6'7 point guards that are going to be 2 of the top athletes in the entire league from day one they get drafted, you simply cant teach what they have and thats a rare find)
