Is there a way to get the track to play/stop through the MPC X as well? I have the overdub and recording working with the MPC VST within FL Studio paired with my MPC X, but it's driving me crazy that I have to lean towards my desk and use my mouse or keyboard to stop the damn playback! So far I'm loving the ability to use my MPC X with FL but being able to stop and start playback from my MPC X is something I don't think I can live without! Please help!
MPC software will output 16 tracks into FL studio, click the gear on the top left of the plugin window, click the plugin gear, click the processing tab, click automap outputs or map them manually…cheers 💪
Thanks man, im still struggling to get the same functionality as the stand alone MPC beats software. When it comes to chopping samples, its not triggering on the pads....like it does on the MPC standalone software. It only sets the chop markers on mouse click. but not my pads on the MPK mini 3. Any help will be appreciated. thank you, that would make my life alot easier, than first chopping in MPC beats, and then going to FL 20 to do the rest of the beat lol.
Question: How are you able to control the MPC software with the Standalone?. I notice you're using the machine to control what's on the software. any tips on that is much appreciate because I can't seem to do it.
You can't use your MPC X in standalone if you want to use the MPC DAW (software) with FL Studio, or even the MPC DAW that's on the computer. In order to use your MPC (HARDWARE) with the MPC VST or the MPC DAW, your MPC must be switched into controller mode which means it's no longer in (STANDALONE) mode. You do this using the USB cable that plugs into the blue slot on the back of your MPC and the other end is USB that you plug into one of your computers USB ports.
Can you help us out with how? You're the second person that's said this and neither of you are answering questions on how? I can't find a video for it.
Reboot the pc. On Mpc Vst click on gear icon on upper left corner, click vst wrapper settings(gear icon with vst icon)>processing tab>connections > you should have output 1,2 to output 31,32, click on automap outputs, that should route all 16 stereo outs to fl mixer inserts(1-15).

Hey Dilliot, Ive been tuning in for years now. Good stuff! I have a question for you and the FL studio community. Im coming from an old school Mpc background and Im currently learning fl studio. Are there any benefits to working in fl studio with the Mpc? If so what are they? Seems so unnecessary at first glance. Was about to sell my Mpc live. Should I keep it? What am I missing?
Do you like FL Studio better than MPC Live? I’m planning on buying a Live 2 and I currently use FL Studio. I’m getting tired of having to turn on my PC and having to load everything by clicking on a mouse. Although, I might still use FL because of all the sounds I can use with it, mostly Kontakt, I have a lot of realistic cinematic libraries in there. That might be the biggest benefit to me.
cant i just use my mpc 2000 to cut up drum samples and plug the 2 stereo outs of the mpc into audio interface ins ..and use whatever daw i use to record drums on different tracks in the daw .....like hi hats on track one snare track 2 etc ....i used to make beats years ago ..i want to get back in....have never used a daw to record thats why i ask ....when recording in the daw does it quantize ...or have swing option like the mpc??
Is this the software that comes with the MPC Studio mk2? I've been trying to decide between getting the maschine mikro mk3 or the MPC Studio mk2. I know the maschine can open as a vst in fl studio
That trick you did to move the audio to the midi file was golden right there. But now I take it back I thought the sounds would carry over and play on fl like mpc but it don’t seem to work like that the midi notes I can’t figure out what I need them for besides using them on a different instrument in fl
Hey luv the video's question I got my MPC plugged up as a VST in my FL Studio 20 the only thing that sync up is the BPM and it will make my FL Studio freeze to and it doesn't let me hear my drum sounds on FL Studio. I got a drag them into my MPC pad and then I can hear? Can u help me plz.
I would rather just use one software or the other before doing all of this and if you own a MPC ofc MPC2 software would be the way to go. FL and its latency when recording in is a big off to me and lowering buffer size / Changing audio and recording settings doesnt help as you ALWAYS have to manually quantize notes. And i know its not my setup ive done with all types of setups fl studio has that one problem. To some they manually quantize and it doesnt bother them but still
Just FYI, you're just wrong bro. I use my MPC X with FL Studio and everything runs smooth as eggs! No issues with latency, no issues with quantizing, no issues period. The only thing I dislike about using the MPC VST with my MPC X hardware with FL Studio is the fact that the start/stop buttons on my MPC X don't stop the project in FL from looping. That's the only thing that's bugging me a little bit about this setup, but I'm almost certain there's a way to get all of the transport buttons to work with the FL and MPC X.. I just haven't figured out how just yet. If you're having all the issues you talk about, you probably on some bum computer that can't hang. That's not FL or the MPC's fault though.
@@Mista808Well, Its not all roses as it may seem with fl studio and latency and i have recording showing so and excuse the mess up at the end but ruclips.net/video/hFr00FbDnUk/видео.html Which is why people hit ALT + Q to quantize in fl studio. In MPC software i dont have to do that and if you notice in the video some of the notes were before and after the grid which proves my point the way fl studio calculates notes (while recording) is off like its close but its not dead on. Again other daws such as mpc software, Reasons, Logic, Studio 1, Even ableton when i record and have quantize on it picks up directly where it should. FL studio needs work in that department big time and no its not my hardware or pc. Ive seen people such as nick mira and others that has nice setups use fl studio and had to quantize as well on every thing mostly they record.
@onkyPodcast And before you say "The notes are slightly off that's a quick fix to quantize or move the notes" Its the fact i have to fix it when i shouldn't have to unless my timing is off which isnt. Fact is, Fl has latency problems and it doesn't pick who its going to work for and who its not. Either it works or it doesnt and the years ive used fl studio which was many this been a issue . FL always had this issue. Again other DAWS don't have this problem only FL studio

In the MPC VST goto the prefrences menu, hardware and set transport send to host, then your rec button and overdub work as normal ;)
Welp if u have the hardware, set it to the mpc. if no hardware, set it to fl
thanks
Thank bro
Don't even have that option

Can I use this to record with sounds from the Channel rack? Like can I map each drum track to a pad?
Thank you! Anyone else having trouble you have to click the gear , then go to processing tab within there. Peace!
You can get the record button to trigger the software
12 seconds into the video and you've answered my biggest question. I may have to get an MPC controller soon.

Thank you so much ! there is one thing in your video that change my life with my mpcx and FL !🙏
So....I Subscribed !
GREAT JOB
Sounds Awesome thx4 posting videos💁🏿♂️✌🏽🎸🎹🔊🎶🎶🎶
You got a subscription from me today. Lord knows I need to use my mpc1 it’s been 1 yr collecting dust 🤭
Hello bro. Thanks for the tutorial. How did you EXPLODE the sound in mpc studio?
Can you use this is as a MIDI ?? Can you record drums from a sample pack directly into fl studio in piano roll through the channel rack ?
I was wondering the same thing. If you ended up finding this out in the last 11 months since posting this, could you share?
Dope stuff bro

I can’t seem to get the MPC vst to work in FL. It freezes everything once it’s loaded.

Probably got a poop PC that's looking at you like.. "Naw bro! I aint fittin to do all that!" 😂

Did you try to scan for new plugins in FL studio and see if it shows up there ?

Drums ~ FL / MPC vst
Loops ~ Ableton
Go to preferences or export menu change tail to 0
When you drag a wave into FL, if theres effects on it does it copy also?
Great tutorial!!💥💥💥

Can’t you use resample stretch to correct the excess instead of trimming?
Then you also stretch the excess audio, causing more chaos
Are you able to have multiple instances of MPC 2 going at the same time inside FL Studio? I know this isn't possible with MPC Beats.
Can you make me a beat please
