😂You keep posting and we'll keep watching
Thanks for the kind feedback. ;-)
Love that Silver that you find hiding beneath all those Rocks just tossed aside like trash.......! =)
Certainly, the old timers made mistakes or were into such large veins that they didn't care about the small stuff. ;-)
Fun hunt for silver! I love the silver in calcite slab, stunning!
Thanks so much!
Love the videos! As a fellow Ontarian, I always thought all the treasure was out west in the mountains.. So thanks for that!
Lots of mines and mineral occurrences right here in this province. ;-)
The 👍👍👍 seeing the finds and the cuts or tumbling always makes for a goo video.
Thanks for the feedback. ;-)
The pieces @6:30 are beautiful. Who doesn't love a heavy rock😅
I love your videos 🌟
So true! I always have high hopes for a heavy rock, especially one that looks like a solid piece of vein. Thanks for the nice comment.
Of course we want to see more of your videos like this, we love all of your videos...
So nice of you to say that. I struggled with this one because I wasn't all that happy with the results. Still, it was a nice place to be and the dogs loved it there.
Here's to you finding a solid silver nugget!!🍀🍀
Next time. ;-)
Can't complain about the hike !!!!!
That WAS a lot of work, but you got a few to make a few cabs. Hang in there! 😊
Fun work ... ;-)
Always love the hunt for silver..
Always enjoy your adventures!
Glad to hear it!
Good video, Greig. Keep up the great work!
Thanks!
Yes! I loved this! It was so grounding and interesting to watch. I would love to see ypunpick out the minerapa and talk abour how sifficult tha5 is. I feel likw some people should know, especially with ores.
These mines are full of junk and minerals one might not want to keep, which confuse both the detector and the operator. It is a disservice to only show the good finds all the time. ;-)
@@meMiner yes exactly. Thank ypu f9r poinring that out too. MY GRANDMOTHER USED TO TRAVEL THE WORLD AND MINE. I WISHED i could gave asked her more about it. Theaw videos also hel0 identufy some mined piexes sge decided not to cut from the rock.
Your adventures seem so fun, whether successful or not, they just seem like a blast. I’m From Pierce County Washington.
It’ll be awesome to run into you during one of your adventures.
I hope to be in BC later this summer, but would be 20+ hours north of you near the Yukon border
@@meMiner well, that’s a bit out of my coverage zone.
But if you know of any good areas around the Canadian/US border territory, I’ll do some hunting for the both of us.🙂
@@MrRyan-fd9rd It will depend if I drive west or fly. If I fly, it will be to Whitehorse YK
I'm liking the format of these videos meminer!
I try and am still learning. ;-)
I like that piece that broke off the host rock.
Good Video meMiner
Not a home run, but you still found silver! I like how you edited this video, showing slabs from rocks right after you find the rock.
Have you considered putting some of your silver ore slabs up for sale? I'd love to get ahold of some for cabbing. Not sure if earnings would be worth your time, however.
I collect for fun and don't have a store. I know someone who has some wonderful slabs for sale that I could put you in touch with. My email is meminerrocks@gmail.com
I have a setting for you to try on your Equinox if your interested. Turn your ground balance to 0
4 KHZ
Sensitivity 20 adjust if needed.
Turn your horseshoe button on. All metal
Your hotrocks will read negative now Any silver small or large will read positive.
I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the Keewenau peninsula. This what i run for float Copper. And silver. I would beg thise settings will improve your finds for what your hunting. Good luck. Hope it helps. Love the shiw
I have played with some of these settings before and they work well. Only thing that I don't do is leave the detector on pinpoint while searching. I will try your suggested combo next time out to see how it works in that area. Thanks for the advice. Greig
Don't leave it on pinpoint. Just try the settings I sent. I have detected hunks of float copper at over 3 ft deep with these settings using my equinox 800. After using a a while you will be able to tell size of your targets also. Make sure to use on 4khz and the horseshoe button on. Not pinpoint button
The true reality of a day silver hunting in Cobalt. Its not always shiny. Good video Greg!!
And yet, I had a good day. LOL
@@meMiner Just being up there is a good day!! 😁
@@CoinandRelicOntario True that!
Yes more like this!! :)
Thanks for the feedback.
Nice Video!!! Interesting!!! Great Comments!! You deserved those super comments!!! 🤗🤗😎
Thank you! 😃
Enjoy all of your videos me like
Thanks much!
👽 👍 👌
I really enjoyed seeing silver being detected in the host vein. Is that an Equinox 800? Thank you!
Yes, the Nox 800. I used the 6" coil here.
lol at the furniture I stacked to get in the attic , you can see the hole where my leg punched through the ceiling, all I found was a large glass JD Brown spring water in mint shape , it was a nice find
Good for you going up there. How did you get down?
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
👍👍
Thoes ate some cool looking rocks
Thanks much!
the hole of plenty
You're so lucky to have that kind of a variety of rocks to pick from where you are are New York State rocks are quite boring play Lake Ontario there is some pyrite down around the Finger Lakes in the shale. By Lake Ontario mostly either granite or clay or sedimentary rocks I guess if you're going to get to the good stuff you have to be near where volcanoes used to be or still are. Some of the Great Lakes Superior have good stuff unfortunately that's not the case here
I have gone to the Herkimer NY region a few times and loved rockhounding there. That was a 9 hour drive for me
@@meMiner yeah I'd like to go there it's about a 4-Hour drive for us from from where we are near Rochester I want to take my grandson there with my son my metal detect but I'm all for looking for the imitation diamonds over there they're supposed to be pretty nice I'm watching your Ontario one right now Beach rockhounding the Lake Superior us side has a very nice beaches for that stuff
@@davidg813 Rochester isn't too far from me. Too bad they stopped the fairy from Rochester to Toronto. Superior is a bit of a hike. Well worthwhile but a drive for sure
Some Day's Are Good Some Day's Are Bad But We Just Keep Diging It LOL. 😎👍✌. PS . We are Like Kid's If We are Not Playing In The Water We Are Playing In The Mud Or Dirt.
So true! If you aren't getting dirty and/or wet, you aren't having fun. lol
A target rich hole ! Any idea what's in the coal that sets off the detector? Makes the GB2 scream. Save it for smelting silver!
I don't know what it is about coal, but it can sound great on a detector. Been fooled many times
What do you use for a rock saw ?? I have heard a tile cutter works just as well as an expensive rock saw ..
I mostly still use a 7" tile saw. Big issue is it isn't self feeding and the blade width wastes some material
I’m In haileybury!
Wish I was there right now. ;-)
Do we wanna go inside.......YES!! WE WANNA GO INSIDE!!! lol I think i would have wanted to if whatever was stashed in the attic of that bldg was still there. Probably not or that cabinet would have been pulled away from that hole, but i gots to know man, i gots to know.
I would have liked to look into that ceiling. Next time maybe
@@meMiner You never know. A bag filled with 2 million in cash.
@@PabloDiablo682 😂😂😂😂😂 Paul, I loved your response!!!! I chuckled big time!!! Happy Canada Day July 1st or Happy 4th of July!!! 💥💥💥💗😎
@@kimfrommn7162 Back at you Kim. Hope you enjoyed your Holiday. ;o)
you have 2 metal detector most people only own 1 Sir
I actually have 5. ;-)
I recently found a 70lb slab of silver
Tons still out there to be found
Congrats on the slab. Where there's one, there might be more
Is there "un-natural" silver?
LOL. Refined silver
Cobalt Canada?
Yes
My dad ran st Joseph lead and zinc in upstate NY. I got the privilege of doing spectrophotometry on the samples. Amazing!
And as I recall we sent equipment above the artic circle
@@rldecluedeclue9152 Sometimes, those zinc mines have wonderful fluorescent minerals under UV
I used a black light at night to separate color's. Building fireplaces and then afterwards light it's color's! Surprise! Got some good tips too lol
That shack should have edited?? Wish vids were longer??
Good question. I wonder what the best length of video to target making?
