Satou, or anybody for that matter, would want to know who the other starters are, and how she would fit in. The Fever GM needs to execute on Mitchell (signed), Smith (gone) and Wheeler; and then bring Satou into the family. The Fever would then be a projected Championship favorite. Light years ahead of where it would be with Dunn/Sides.
Satou has been injury prone as well, so its a gamble for the fever as well. It will be interesting what Kelly cooks up! I have faith in her as she seems to be doing it all correctly.

CC is a far superior player than PB. One of CC’s greatest gifts is her court vision and ability to make plays. CC’s ability to find the open player and put the ball in their hands is something to behold. CC elevates her teammates by setting them up to score. Anyone who chooses PB, will come to regret it.

At the very minimum I would think Smith plus the Fevers 1st pick (plus maybe even 2026 1st rounder too). You might convince Dallas to take Samuelson and her expensive contract off your hands as part of the trade too (which would free up nearly $200K in 2025 to sign another free agent).

Dallas getting the #1 pick changes nothing for a free thinking and wise person. No matter who Dallas picks it does not change the fact the the Fever is a better organization and destination. Before you disagree, go re-watch the final quarter of Game 2, Fever vs Sun...in which Mitchell reverted to her ball-hogging and single-handedly lost the Fever the game with her selfish play.
It'll be kinda similar to the CC and KM situation at the beginning of the season. Arike is ball dominant, so she needs to trust PB to be the point guard and learn to share the load. But that's easier said than done.
NaLyssa Smith is from Texas, if Satou wants to leave then this will be the trade. Business wise, Indiana is by far the better move for a very photogenic Satou Sabally.

With Clarks range it opens up so much for everyone else and that’s proof with Kelsey Mitchell’s season. Clark is also going to get you the ball in a good position for east buckets. One clear difference between Caitlin and Paige: Caitlin's style of play is one that brings the BEST out of her teammates. She's not just a playmaker...she might be one of the best (if not THE best) playmakers in the history of the sport. Paige is a great point-getter. Satou's no dummy. She knows, if she's on Caitlin's team, her numbers will be higher, her marketability will be higher and her opportunity will be higher. If she's on Paige's team, she'll be partnering up with another great player who's a point-getter. Nothing wrong with that, but that's nothing special. Being with Caitlin is most DEFINITELY something special. She realizes this the same way Stephanie White realized it: "If I go there, I'll be a huge part of this dynasty and I know I'm going to be utilized in my best light."
Paige is playing well now but what happens if she gets hurt. Paige has had some serious injuries and can she physically handle the physicality in the WNBA? Free agency will probably be said and done by the time the draft rolls around. If Satou had her mind leaning toward going to Indy prior to this, I don't see this affecting her decision. I've also heard reports that Paige might stay another year because she wanted to go to LA. We'll see..

I am not surre which news source heard this info, and I am picky about my sources, but it was said that Paige was a bit disappointed that Dallas got first pick. She would rather play for LA. If this is true, as a Dallas player I would feel a bit unsure of Paige's attitude.
Satou is a good enough player, and an intelligent enough person, and a likable enough person that whichever she decides, she can make happen. Satou may still be weighing everything.

I was looking at stats for Paige, the thing that stood out and what I was looking for is her assist numbers. While her percentages are pretty good, her assists numbers did not impress me if she is playing PG. I think shes been spending more time as a shooting guard instead of point guard. I think Dallas is rebuilding to become a contender, while Indy just needs to add some pieces to be a true contender.
The choice isn't between Paige and CC...it's between the cities of Dallas and Indianapolis. You figured that out by the end of your video so I think you already know where this is going.
Here's something else to consider when you play with CC. You are more likely to get an endorsement deal higher than otherwise due to exposure. Paige Bueckers is not a draw.

Sabally would want to play with the PROVEN player who will pass her the ball and that is Caitlin Clark! For one thing Clark has never been hurt before or miss any Basketball. The unsigned talented players are probably hoping Sabally doesn't sign with the Fever.

Ummm just from financials it is not comparable. Dallas attendance 4641 per game with basically the worst tv ratings. Fever??? 17,000 per game and tv ratings 3 to 4 times better than the highest other teams??? Money wise from sponsorships not even close. Then you throw in playing with Clark who is called most likely the Jordan of WNBA or an unproven injury prone not point guard who is from UConn. Every other UConn “super star “ in the league came in and many have done well but NOTHING to move the needle as far as attendance and ratings.

Well I first thought that if PB does go to Dallas that Satou would stay. But now … not entirely sure she would. Why?? For starters (and all I am about to say is opinion so spare me the slings and arrows), as reported, PB may still stay at U Conn. So her going to Dallas is not a done deal. Secondly, Satou might have to make the decision to stay/go before PB declares. Third, and no disrespect to Dallas, I just think Indiana is the better overall team even with Dallas with PB. CC > PB KM = AO (might actually be better) AB > TM LH > NH (yeah yeah yeah NH scores more but she’s 33 and LH is what, 25? 26?) So what can PB bring that’s better than what CC offers? As I’ve stated to others … one player has a history of injuries, averages about 22ppg (career), 4 Rebs/gm and 4 assts/gm and everyone is goo goo ga-ga over her. The “other” player averaged 28 ppg (career), 7 reb/gm and 8 asst/gm. And this other player set 60+ records her first “learning” year in the W!! It’s a no brainer! It comes down to what SS wants money wise and what Dallas will extort from Indiana to let her go.
I would pick C.Clark & the Fever. she proved herself even with a terrible coach. Paige hadn't proven herself in the WNBA. Paige had 2 injuries in college.
Paige is good, but she’s had previous injuries that could make her vulnerable. She’s better than many players in the league, but she’s not Caitlin. I think Satou finds the idea of playing with Mitchell, Boston, and Clark intriguing. If she wants to go, and they want her (who wouldn’t), she’ll be a part of that team. The odds are good. I was reading one of the Indiana papers, I think, about possible players that might be recruited by the Fever. They mentioned Sayou, some of the ones already discussed, and one or two others including someone from Canada. But Odyssey Sims was also on the list, and I wonder about her. She did short term stints on two teams this year, and it’s not easy finding a fit with teams so quickly. She might be a long shot, but she has talent.
It’s a really easy choice if Satou is at all motivated by financial considerations… her endorsement opportunities will be much greater playing with Caitlin on the Fever. And it may also be her ticket to the HOF down the road.
Assists is the key word. Caitlin makes all players play better, her assists are high. Paige has an average of 4 assists and doesn’t make her players better. The separates generational (GREATS) to very good players. I choose CC!
If this were the NBA, she'd go to whoever offered her the best contract. Don't know if the WNBA is any different. Not sure what the Fever can offer her while trying to retain Mitchell. It would be amazing if the Fever could hit with the eighth pick.
#1--Indiana has shown they are very serious about building something, doing it now, and have taken prompt action to get it done. Caitlin is a big bonus--the train that the gravy comes in. This is the deal breaker---Indiana it is.
Paige doesn’t fit with Areke’s shot chucking @ss. She needs her own team where she can be the primary ball handler. The Sparks would be a much better fit.

Satou, or anybody for that matter, would want to know who the other starters are, and how she would fit in. The Fever GM needs to execute on Mitchell (signed), Smith (gone) and Wheeler; and then bring Satou into the family. The Fever would then be a projected Championship favorite. Light years ahead of where it would be with Dunn/Sides.
Satou has been injury prone as well, so its a gamble for the fever as well. It will be interesting what Kelly cooks up! I have faith in her as she seems to be doing it all correctly.

CC is a far superior player than PB. One of CC’s greatest gifts is her court vision and ability to make plays. CC’s ability to find the open player and put the ball in their hands is something to behold. CC elevates her teammates by setting them up to score. Anyone who chooses PB, will come to regret it.

The Fever will not get Satou without giving up a lot. No one in their right mind would take NaLyssa in a straight up trade for Satou. At the very minimum I would think Smith plus the Fevers 1st pick (plus maybe even 2026 1st rounder too). You might convince Dallas to take Samuelson and her expensive contract off your hands as part of the trade too (which would free up nearly $200K in 2025 to sign another free agent).

Before you disagree, go re-watch the final quarter of Game 2, Fever vs Sun...in which Mitchell reverted to her ball-hogging and single-handedly lost the Fever the game with her selfish play.
It'll be kinda similar to the CC and KM situation at the beginning of the season. Arike is ball dominant, so she needs to trust PB to be the point guard and learn to share the load. But that's easier said than done.
NaLyssa Smith is from Texas, if Satou wants to leave then this will be the trade. Business wise, Indiana is by far the better move for a very photogenic Satou Sabally.

With Clarks range it opens up so much for everyone else and that’s proof with Kelsey Mitchell’s season. Clark is also going to get you the ball in a good position for east buckets. Buekers is a really good player but Clark is just different. I really can’t wait to see this upcoming season when she actually has rest.
One clear difference between Caitlin and Paige: Caitlin's style of play is one that brings the BEST out of her teammates. She's not just a playmaker...she might be one of the best (if not THE best) playmakers in the history of the sport. Paige is a great point-getter. Satou's no dummy. She knows, if she's on Caitlin's team, her numbers will be higher, her marketability will be higher and her opportunity will be higher. If she's on Paige's team, she'll be partnering up with another great player who's a point-getter. Nothing wrong with that, but that's nothing special. Being with Caitlin is most DEFINITELY something special. She realizes this the same way Stephanie White realized it: "If I go there, I'll be a huge part of this dynasty and I know I'm going to be utilized in my best light."

I am not surre which news source heard this info, and I am picky about my sources, but it was said that Paige was a bit disappointed that Dallas got first pick. She would rather play for LA. If this is true, as a Dallas player I would feel a bit unsure of Paige's attitude.
Satou is a good enough player, and an intelligent enough person, and a likable enough person that whichever she decides, she can make happen. Satou may still be weighing everything.

I was looking at stats for Paige, the thing that stood out and what I was looking for is her assist numbers. While her percentages are pretty good, her assists numbers did not impress me if she is playing PG. I think shes been spending more time as a shooting guard instead of point guard.
I think Dallas is rebuilding to become a contender, while Indy just needs to add some pieces to be a true contender.

Sabally would want to play with the PROVEN player who will pass her the ball and that is Caitlin Clark! For one thing Clark has never been hurt before or miss any Basketball. I don't think Satou Sabally cares about the city she plays in so that won't be a factor. Besides that there is still a lot of very good free agent talent that haven't signed yet. The unsigned talented players are probably hoping Sabally doesn't sign with the Fever.
Playing with Clark is also about sold out crowds and more recognition. Paige is great, but she does not draw the attention to everyone around her like Caitlin does. Paige is also injury prone and Caitlin has never had an injury and she has much more talent around her

I said pre-draft that I would not take her in the Top 5, and I would NOT take Paige 1st in this draft, either. She will be riddled with injuries.

Ummm just from financials it is not comparable. Dallas attendance 4641 per game with basically the worst tv ratings. Fever??? 17,000 per game and tv ratings 3 to 4 times better than the highest other teams??? Money wise from sponsorships not even close.
Then you throw in playing with Clark who is called most likely the Jordan of WNBA or an unproven injury prone not point guard who is from UConn. Every other UConn “super star “ in the league came in and many have done well but NOTHING to move the needle as far as attendance and ratings.

For starters (and all I am about to say is opinion so spare me the slings and arrows), as reported, PB may still stay at U Conn. So her going to Dallas is not a done deal.

The “other” player averaged 28 ppg (career), 7 reb/gm and 8 asst/gm. And this other player set 60+ records her first “learning” year in the W!!
It’s a no brainer! It comes down to what SS wants money wise and what Dallas will extort from Indiana to let her go.
NH has said there's no way she's coming back, so even that position is an uncertainty. Of course until NS is gone ... Sides situation redux.
I would pick C.Clark & the Fever. she proved herself even with a terrible coach. Paige hadn't proven herself in the WNBA. Paige had 2 injuries in college.
Paige is good, but she’s had previous injuries that could make her vulnerable. She’s better than many players in the league, but she’s not Caitlin.
I think Satou finds the idea of playing with Mitchell, Boston, and Clark intriguing. If she wants to go, and they want her (who wouldn’t), she’ll be a part of that team. The odds are good.
I was reading one of the Indiana papers, I think, about possible players that might be recruited by the Fever. They mentioned Sayou, some of the ones already discussed, and one or two others including someone from Canada. But Odyssey Sims was also on the list, and I wonder about her. She did short term stints on two teams this year, and it’s not easy finding a fit with teams so quickly. She might be a long shot, but she has talent.
It’s a really easy choice if Satou is at all motivated by financial considerations… her endorsement opportunities will be much greater playing with Caitlin on the Fever. And it may also be her ticket to the HOF down the road.

Paige doesn’t fit with Areke’s shot chucking @ss. She needs her own team where she can be the primary ball handler. The Sparks would be a much better fit.

Paige isn’t the distributor that Caitlin is and therefore Satou will get more touches with CC. Also, Satou will get all those Fever fans too.
AR, you are right on in your assessment, SS should come to Indiana and play with CC, hands down where the front office is committed to bringing a championship back to Indy and hired a coach that already has publicly stated that she would not stop at anything less than a championship, hanging another banner for the Fever.
