    Fury has shown real integrity here. Nobody would have questioned him legacy for not fighting AJ after he lost the last 3/5, and yet he's gone and made a hugely generous offer. I bet after Fury has been through all the struggles he has, he's just not afraid of silly things like losing belts & this "perfect record" nonsense.
    Whoever wins, history will remember Fury as boxer of top integrity who wanted to put on a huge fight for the fans, despite never needing it.

      I agree with you.I hope Joshua turns up,and doesn’t let his fragile state of mind get the better of him.He’s being compared to Frank Bruno.A big man with a great physique,but hollow inside.What that means is a man who doesn’t have a fighters heart.The saying,’IT’S NOT THE SIZE OF THE MAN,IT’S THE SIZE OF THE FIGHT IN THE MAN’,seems true of Joshua.Losing to Ruiz,losing to Usyk.And that second loss to Usyk,seemed to break him.If he loses to Fury,for me he’ll be finished,and Fury will never let him forget it!

      @@derekharrison1582 the problem i see is that he carries too much muscle he is maybe 245-250 so his is stationary and because muscle is heavy his energy crashes in the later rounds. If he was 235-240 he'd still be able to throw the big shots and be more agile and less fatigue in the championship rounds
      Fury is probably easier to hit than Usyk but let's see. Hopefully it's worth the wait.

      @@billkeaveney1526 his physique is an issue but it’s farrrr too late to change that now. The problem is definitely his heart… you can see when usyk was clipping him he was blinking, like he really hates getting hit now. That’s a heart issue. Unfortunately no way back imo. A few years back I might’ve given him a chance to beat fury.. maybe even favoured him a bit. But now, I think fury takes him out.
      A few things though… aj is still certainly better than dillian whyte so will put up a better showing against fury… also fury didn’t look that good against wilder in the 3rd.. he’s certainly slipped a bit too. The major difference is heart. Fury buries josh in that department… and ultimately that is what it will come down too. See if aj loses in a manner where he puts up a fight and goes to war, a defeat probably won’t hurt his career any more than it alresdy is.

  • @Christopher_J
    @Christopher_J 2 года назад +76

    This is a calculated strategy by Fury who really is orchestrating all of this with the undisputed Usyk fight in mind. He is using AJ as a warm-up for Usyk and by stopping AJ; (which I think he does) he elevates himself into a greater psychological position in comparison to Usyk come fight time. If I was in AJ's team I'd tell him to avoid the fight and rebuild with alternative fights but I completely understand the will of a fighter to snatch this opportunity up right away.

    • @gold_bars
      @gold_bars 2 года назад +12

      The plausibility of this is actually quite strong, I like it. Although I hope AJ does the job and goes back to his original style of fighting and brawls with Fury and not try to 'box' him with a long game.

    • @decaDBZ
      @decaDBZ 2 года назад +7

      @@decaDBZ I don't think it's inevitable that AJ gets stop. If he brawls and uses the strength and power of his physical presence, then he has every ability and chance to stop Fury. Look at Wilder, he's literally half if not a third of the man AJ is (in terms of size) and yet he managed to get Fury on the canvas on more than one occasion. So then imagine what AJ could potentially do if he goes back to basics...

    Tyson fury is not just doing the fans a service, he is giving Joshua an opportunity to make it to the top, just like he was given with the first fight against Wilder, only in this case it’s a genuine offer to give Joshua a chance which he doesn’t need to do. Personally, I think Joshua has a better chance of beating Tyson Fury than than beating Deontay Wilder or Usyk. Styles make fights, while Fury isn't the KO artist with insane punching power like Wilder and nor as elusive as Usyk with the movement so they're likely to trade punches

    I feel this could be a win win for Joshua there is probably more pressure on Fury, as Fury has been consistent on how much of a poor boxer and a bum Joshua is and also adding Wilder being the better of the two who he easily dismantled. This puts Fury in a position where any glimpse of a difficult close fight win loose or draw still may leave Joshua in a respectful position and slightly damage Fury's invincibility going into the Usyk fight.

    If it actually happens (still 50-50 on whether it will), I think this is actually a lot closer than people think. Like the guy said, AJ has nothing to lose and I think he'll be more aggressive than in the Usyk fights, where he had to hold back because of Usyk's relentless activity. Plus Fury hasn't fought a big, skilful boxer since Klitschko (Wilder is good in his own way but he's not a great boxer)... Too many Fury nut huggers around, too many AJ fan boys around! What happened to the days where people just enjoyed the best fighting the best? Now you can only enjoy it or comment if your licking someone's tonsils.
    Let's have it right, those who say AJ doesn't deserve the fight are as delusional as it comes. Olympic Gold medalist, 2 time Unified heavyweight Champion. People sit there and think Wilder deserves another shot when he hasn't achieved even half of what AJ has. When AJ turned pro, Fury was already a seasoned professional. If AJ stepped into the ring with some of the wasters Fury has at this stage of his career can you imagine the outrage?
    Fury has also achieved a hell of alot in his career, some would say he unlocked the division but his mouth unfortunately outperformed his resume. Unbeaten, Lineal Champion, top of the mountain yes but you wouldn't necessarily rate his last 5 opponents and I don't care what anyone says Wilder was not at a top level. Possibly the best heavyweight in the world right now but I use that term loosely because there is someone else he has to beat. No doubting his skills and ring craft, a true phenome of the sport. This will be a great fight no matter what the outcome.

He said on stage he is retired until his next fight and would only fight Antony Joshua for free. Then he said he’s fight Derick on Instagram which HE DID NOT MENTION AT ALL on the tour and then that gets cancelled and now he’s working on fights but still wants the Aj one and is fine with it being on BT Sport and DAZN for PPV.
