@@michaelreardon3958 nah, he's still horrible. He doesn't let ANYONE speak a full sentence. It's annoying. He throws some interesting questions to his guests and then doesn't let them speak. Horrible.
For me, KISS around '74-75 and the time of this show, the '95 Unplugged show time, are my favorite KISS times. It's just straight up hard rock, shaggy manes, and a black wardrobe.

Howard was very cringe in this episode. He was annoying the hell out of Gene until he realized that "contraversy=$$$" and then he was like "its a deal".
KISS was running on fumes at this point (good fumes for a KISS fan, but not good record sale/attendance wise). and revenge was supposed to be their comeback album , well, it wasn't. even though for me, its one of their best , raunchiest, heaviest records (love it). so Howard Stern was gaining more and more notoriety, and kiss was going the way of one or 2 performances per year, 93 and 94, and doing the conventions. this was kind of an attempt to gain some notoriety with a coming up host ,which was Howard Stern. 13 years earlier, they scathed ace for saying he's a plumber and joking around, but here they were desperate and allowed Stern to humiliate them for a 15 second plug of their Alive 3 album. just putting things in context, Howard was bigger than KISS back then for sure. in their 70s heyday and probably now , KISS would've never allowed this interview.
Howard shouldn't "misuse" Cher only to make his interview spectacular. Then he had to warm up the story, how Gene threatened him! To show how important he is! Paul was quite cool. Howard could hardly provoke him. Finally we learned, Alive III is alive. And Paul is a great frontman. He gave Howard a few minutes importance to promote KISS 💋
Howard Stern told him not to be a wise guy when Paul Stanley asked him about what his wife would think but then he just disrespects Gene Simmons through the whole interview trying to trap him into saying something that he can sue him for I'm trying to get him in trouble with cher
As an original member of the KISS ARMY & a DEADHEAD. Sorry Gene DEADHEADS & the KISS ARMY are 2 DIFFERENT things. THE DEAD did it first. (Fans following them from show to show and tape trading, etc.)
“The dead” are a joke of a musical hacks. Your embarrassing comment is an excellent example of this. The dead invented tape trading? You’re an absolute joke. Did The Grateful Dead also invent water, food, and toilet paper?

I have seen this clip years ago but the thing that’s noticeably different is Sterns interviewing style and skills are 100x since this when he was almost overbearing and annoying. IMO covid and post covid forced Howard to be himself with out all the side players (which made him ) social distancing and video conference calls thst are commonplace now he has become a legit interviewer and asks legit real questions as opposed to his standard which I loved back in the day …”Do you do anal!?? “ Thst was every interview he did ..He’s polished up his skills .. and KISS still kicks ass !
It's more like Stern interviewing himself, Gene looks pissed. If only there was some space for Paul & Gene to talk.
Stern, supposedly the interviewer, actually gets in the way of this interview, not allowing Paul and Gene to speak.
Well, Stern was a different and an anxious dude in 1993. That was 30 years ago. He is a better interviewer now.
@@michaelreardon3958 nah, he's still horrible. He doesn't let ANYONE speak a full sentence. It's annoying. He throws some interesting questions to his guests and then doesn't let them speak. Horrible.
So true... And very annoying. I got about 2min into the interview and said nope I can't finish.
Stern has always been that way he always talks over his guests, but I still watch him for some reason lol
They look cool here. Gene looks cool during the Revenge era

92-96 was their best image without a makeup
This was back when Gene wasn't wearing sunglasses indoors but Howard was. 😀
Very entertaining! 😂
GEEZUS HOWARD!! ask a question and wait for an answer.
I kind of like how confrontational this interview is. It's fun.
Howard : is it real live ? untouched and everything ?
Paul :This is the real deal
Gene : Nodds
😆😆😆😆😆
That was the one thing I wanted to comment on and you beat me to it.
Stern was the best! Anything thrown at him he caught and threw it back. Never a second of dead air with him.
Was is the most important word.
horrible interviewer
Ahhh, that sweet '90s look. Love it!
Paul and Gene hand it to Howard...🎉
I love how catty Howard gets with these guys.
This is back when Howard was playing the needler. So obnoxious, but funny, and it usually got people off their guard to react honestly.
Old Howard is hilarious. A total voyeur living vicariously through these rock stars. What an obnoxious and funny ass he was.

Stern wouldn't let them finish a sentence. 😒😒
Hasn't changed a bit has he??!! Lol
this time period is when KISS was at its best!! Eric Singer brought life back into the band, his double bass.. so good!
Howard didn’t let them get a single word in
Quite possibly the last great kiss album revenge A lot of great singles from this record
Love it too!
Gene and Paul didn't even need to be there. Howard did all the talking. He's never done coke but sure seemed like he did. A worthless trainwreck.
Look at Paul, showin' off his new ear.....
New CD, lol 😂
damn yes

im glad Stern finally starting acting like a person instead of the circus act
Why was Howard never a KISS member???
Gene's hair looked much better this time
He should’ve had bpnever cut his hair. Also it was the 90s. The renegade look was in
Gene ,Paul and Stern shop at the same wig shop.
It's a fact that gene and Paul wear wigs
A wig obviously 🤔
how's your hair going to look like in 30 years? (The age of this interview) ...or will you have hair at all in 30 years?

Damn. Almost forgot how funny Stern used to be
Howard made a few jokes when Cliff Burton died cause he played for Metallica. He was just looking for laughs.

Howard was always the most fake person in show business.
What a lame interview… 🙄
