This was really sweet and I'm glad it was done for him at the time.

Cloverdale Elementary School in Etobicoke. Grade 4. They only let us watch the 3rd period because they believed what they would teach us mattered more than witnessing Canadian history in action. 300 kids were in the gym. 2 B&W TVs on those wheeled stands that stood about 6’ tall placed at the front of the gym. 150 schoolgirls absolutely losing their sh*t every time the Soviets got the puck in Canada’s end. So there was the terror of being down 5-3 when we got in the gym, then there was the horror of girls shrieking to add to the “fun.” Espo’s goal making it 5-4 was welcomed with cheers and screams. Yvan ties it up and there’s calamity. The next 10 minutes of ice time was like being in a horror movie. The girls would scream and my young heart would almost give up. Then Mr. Henderson decides to jump over the boards because he had a vision that he would score. Pete agrees to come off the ice and the players are now set. When the puck crossed the line time slowed down in that gym. I can close my eyes and look to my right and see my friends and schoolmates in mid air, paused in exultation for as long as I have the capacity to remember. That was 51.5 years ago. It’s impossible to relate how important that moment was to us. It was everything.

Howard shouldn't "misuse" Cher only to make his interview spectacular. Then he had to warm up the story, how Gene threatened him! To show how important he is! Paul was quite cool. Howard could hardly provoke him. Finally we learned, Alive III is alive. And Paul is a great frontman. He gave Howard a few minutes importance to promote KISS 💋
