  • This is a short DIY on how to change the angel eyes bulb on BMW. The only thing you need is a spare H8 bulb.
There are several versions of head lights and this particular model is a face lift E60 (2009) 5 series. Other models might differ slightly. On some models, you even need to take the head light out.
I am aware this original yellow colour is not exactly popular and most people swap these for an LED. I´m actually thinking about it myself. For now, I am sticking with the original H8 bulb.

Excellent! Very helpful for this type of 3-series.
I have human sized hands, so it is really not very easy. I recommend removing the bolts for the coolant reservoir and the brake fluid reservoir. They do not need to be taken out, but can be tied back with a cable or rope of some sort. This gives more room in behind the headlight unit and makes it a little easier.

You have the F10 generation, so not exactly the same, but I'm guessing the headlight unit will be very similar.

Not sure if it is the same for halogen units. Just open the cap at the back of the headlight in the engine compartment to see if you have the same bulb.

@@GolfTS The brightness should be about the same. It depends on viewing angle...
