- This is a short DIY on how to change the angel eyes bulb on BMW. The only thing you need is a spare H8 bulb.
There are several versions of head lights and this particular model is a face lift E60 (2009) 5 series. Other models might differ slightly. On some models, you even need to take the head light out.
I am aware this original yellow colour is not exactly popular and most people swap these for an LED. I´m actually thinking about it myself. For now, I am sticking with the original H8 bulb.
What a perfect repair video. Well done.
Thanks a lot !!
Excellent! Very helpful for this type of 3-series.
I have human sized hands, so it is really not very easy. I recommend removing the bolts for the coolant reservoir and the brake fluid reservoir. They do not need to be taken out, but can be tied back with a cable or rope of some sort. This gives more room in behind the headlight unit and makes it a little easier.
Thanks for your insight.
Exactly the video that I was looking for, many thanks
Glad to hear that. Thank you.
So changing one makes both rings light up?
That's right.
Thanks for the video....
Happy to help.
relly hope my i just need to change this now. thx!
Good luck.
Can i do this with the low beam bulbs? Or do i need to remove the whole assembly?
I'm affraid the whole unit needs to come out. I've got a video on that.

Is it the same for a 5 series. ? I have a 2014 528 i xdrive ..
You have the F10 generation, so not exactly the same, but I'm guessing the headlight unit will be very similar.
Is the same with nfl e60? Help me pls
Not sure if it is the same for halogen units. Just open the cap at the back of the headlight in the engine compartment to see if you have the same bulb.
1bulb for 2 rings right ?
Correct.
@@DIYProjectX than you.and is it normal that outer ring will have less brightness than inside ring ?
@@GolfTS The brightness should be about the same. It depends on viewing angle...
My bulb will not turn for the life of me and I am getting real pissed off real quick
Are you twisting in the right direction?
this bulb is not for rings
It is, as clearly shown in the video.
