    How did this video change your understanding of Psalm 23?

      Me niece just lost their baby yesterday. Psalm 23 reminds me that He is walking with them, along beside them during this difficult time. This is the second baby that they have lost.

    God isn't supposed to be tangible, God is unknown to most people...

    Before asking, does God really care, you need to ask , does God really exist?

    • @AussieDave
      @AussieDave  2 года назад

      Yeah man ... you sure do. What's your answer to your question?

    • @JohnG-tv3gc

      @@AussieDave Dunno, that's why I'm asking. Do you have any empirical evidence of any Gods existing? Because I'm not aware of any.

      @@JohnG-tv3gc busy dude. Have a family etc. Can’t always respond immediately.
      Scientific empirical evidence can’t prove or disprove the existence of God, as the nature of empirical evidence is to explain nature, and God is, by definition supernatural. Science and faith draw on very different aspects of human nature and so are quantified differently. The idea of love is hard to quantify empirically, but we know when we feel love, right. Yes, there are medical changes that occur when someone is in love (elevated heart, shortness of breath, perspiration etc) and these same occurrences have been proven to happen medically when people pray. Now, I could show you from my actions and choices that I love my kids, but likewise I could show you from my actions and choices that I have faith.
      This is part of the reason why discussion around the evidence for God typically lands in the philosophical and subjective realm, rather than scientific and empirical.
      What I can say is that following Jesus has certainly made my life better and made me better at life.

    • @JohnG-tv3gc
      @JohnG-tv3gc 2 года назад +1

      @@AussieDave Agree, family always comes first.
      Yes , I agree, the nature of empirical evidence is to explain nature, which again begs the question, How do we know a God or anything that you refer to as "supernatural" even exists if they are out side the realm of nature, how can you prove such existence?
      Also, yes, you could show me from your actions and choices that you love your kids, but you'd also have no problem proving your kids actually exist. The same can't be said about a God or anything else (using your term) supernatural.
      I'm sure when you say: following Jesus has certainly made my life better and made me better at life. But that is a different proposition to whether a God exists or not. People may feel good watching The Sound of Music but, they are also aware that it is just a fairy tale.

    When disaster strikes or people suffer and die, we may wonder whether God sees it or cares about it. But, the Bible states:
    “For the eyes of Jehovah are on the righteous, and his ears listen to their supplication, but the face of Jehovah is against those doing bad things.”-1 Peter 3:12.
    Well, Jesus Christ, who knows the Creator better than anyone else, taught: “Two sparrows sell for a coin of small value, do they not? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s knowledge. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. So have no fear; you are worth more than many sparrows.”-Matthew 10:29-31.
    Although few of us pay attention to every small bird we see, let alone notice when one of them falls to the ground, our heavenly Father notices each one of them! And birds-even many birds-are never worth more to him than a human. The lesson, therefore, is clear: You should “have no fear” that God does not notice you or cares about you. On the contrary, he is deeply interested in you!
